Hello, I'm hamdi 🇵🇸 After 100 days of displacement, my family and I found ourself forced to leave our home and land in Gaza. 🏡💔 The journey to Egypt was not a choice, but a necessity imposed by the harsh conditions. we crossed the border, carrying with us scattered dreams and hopes for a better life, but we quickly realized that displacement was not the end of the suffering, but the beginning of a new chapter.

In Egypt, we are stuck between a bitter alienation and a painful reality. 😔🚧 We do not have residency, which makes every step difficult and every day full of challenges. Prices in Egypt resources are unforgiving, and the ones we brought with us are quickly melting away. 💸 While we try to endure and survive, our hearts remain attached to Gaza; The homeland that never leaves our minds or leaves us for a moment. 🇵🇸💔 Our loved ones there live under siege, and we live under the burden of alienation and worry for them. Every day in Egypt feels like an endless wait, and every contact with Gaza opens a door to pain. 📞💔 Returning to Gaza did not alleviate the anxiety, but rather confirmed to me that the suffering continues, whether we are inside or outside.

We may still have 300 days to reach the “goal” that we do not yet know, but until then, we will continue to face the challenges of life with patience and strength, waiting for the day when safety and stability return to us and our loved ones. 🍉🌈🤲 Donate now: In these difficult times, every donation makes a difference. The astrology of Interview with the Vampire characters 🧛🩸🪦🗡️🌑🦇⛪️

PART 1: Lestat

I watched Interview with the Vampire (AMC) last November I and have been obsessed with the show ever since. Anne Rice definitely thought of astrology whilst planning the birthdays of her characters. Therefore, I will be sticking to canon with the exception of the Ascendant. The houses are not canon and match up with the rising I give him as there is no birth time.

Lestat De Lioncourt

Scorpio sun (canon) 4H (chart ruler) - Lestat is an alluring and mysterious character. Louis feels a magnetic pull towards him, they spend a night together; then share a passionate kiss on the altar.

• Lestat is possessive over Louis and doesn’t want him seeing other men, despite sleeping with Antoinette and agreeing to an open relationship. “You jealous? Yes, I don’t like sharing.”

• To delineate on his mysterious nature, Lestat does not tell Louis that he was the one who saved him in Paris. He waited 70 years. I have to add as well that the “Let’s see how long it holds,” line was so Scorpio of him, directing something to Armand without revealing the truth to Louis.

• Lestat holds grudges and does not forgive easily, shown by his objection to Claudia’s apology when she comes back home from studying European vampires.

Sun in the 4th house - This placement can indicate a positive or negative family relationship depending on the aspects. Lestat’s 4H sun aligns with his difficult childhood. For example the relationship with his father was terrible because his father was abusive. Therefore, I will give him Sun square Mars and Sun conjunct Uranus. He says in the first season that he is “Cursed with his father’s temper at times,” and Mars is the planet of aggression.

• Lestat was raised as a catholic and then later became an atheist. This conveys that Lestat was unconventional for the time period as religion was dominant in society. Furthermore, he became a rock star in The Vampire Lestat blurring the lines between humanity and vampirism. Plus, Uranus is also associated with queerness.

• Sun in the 4H also means that in this case, Lestat is happiest around his loved ones and found family. This explains why Lestat’s biggest fear is loneliness.

Scorpio moon (canon) 4H - Lestat’s mother, Gabrielle De Lioncourt, took on both roles as mother and father because of his father’s absence. After Lestat turns her because of her sickness, they had a very close bond. Their familial love turns into romantic love. Obviously, this is unusual. I would give Lestat Moon square Neptune because of his lack of boundaries.

Scorpio is in fall in the moon, it likes to be in Taurus but is uncomfortable in Scorpio. Lestat’s Scorpio moon exacerbates his emotional nature and explains some of his toxic behaviour. Lestat is enamoured with Louis and Louis is in love with him. But despite that, Lestat is incredibly insecure and doesn’t think that Louis loves him. When he gets into a fight with Louis, he ends up dropping him from the sky because Louis asks him to let go of him. In ‘Come to Me’ Lestat sings: “Ruin eachother like star crossed lovers,” this is how a Scorpio moon loves. Lestat hooks up with Antoinette to get back at Louis when he’s upset because he wants to make Louis jealous.

• Scorpio moon in the 4H also suggests jealously towards women in your life, in Lestat’s case he never liked how much attention Louis was giving to Claudia.

Leo rising (1H in Leo) - Lestat is dramatic, charismatic, confident and creative. These are all attributes of Leo.

• One thing that stood out to me was his passion for theatre and performing. In Paris when he was in the Theatre des Vampires, Armand says that “They were all in love with him, he had that effect on everyone,” Leo in the 1H naturally draws attention and admirers.

• I would also give him Lilith sextile ascendant because of his sex appeal.

Taurus MC: Leo risings can have this placement and it makes sense for Lestat because he loves beauty and luxury. Taurus MC’s want to pursue their creative talent and they are also good in business endeavours.

And… let’s not forget his thick luscious hair that’s like a Lions mane.

Mercury in Scorpio (canon) 4H: Lestat wants to have meaningful conversations and since it is in the 4H that is with his found family. Other than them, including Louis’ family, he does not want to entertain small talk. Their home is a place of intellectualism, there are many books in the house. 4H Mercury’s love learning in the home.

• Mercury in the 4th house with a positive aspect to Neptune in the 6th house indicates a beautiful singing voice; and that is his career. Mercury in the 4th house in Scorpio also indicates strong intuition, the water houses and water signs in general are right about their gut feelings.

• Scorpio Mercury’s can be too blunt at times. For example, when Lestat goes to visit Louis’ family for the first time, he brings up his trauma with his father and how he was abused by him over the years. It’s not that he’s wrong for sharing his trauma, it just wasn’t the right time to do it, therefore Louis got angry at him.

•Mercury and property are connected. Lestat invests in the Azalea for Louis and he encourages Louis to take business opportunities. It is also possible that Lestat wanted help from Louis (a New Orleans native) to acquire property across the city. Lestat pretended to be bad at cards/poker so that he could manipulate the other players on the table to gain the upper hand in business deals.

• Lestat teaches Louis French. Mercury is language and communication and the 4H is family.

Sagittarius Venus (canon) 5H - Sagittarius Venus’ are independent and adventurous lovers. Lestat tells Louis “From time to time, I like a little variety.” Sagittarius venus’ can struggle with commitment. They do whatever they want to in love affairs. When Louis is focused on finding Claudia, Lestat grows impatient as he’s not getting any attention from Louis. That’s when he looks for comfort in Antoinette. But his Scorpio placements come into play regarding his one track mind (Louis).

• As we know, Lestat didn’t love Antoinette but he admired her artistic abilities and her loyalty towards him. Venus in the 5H individuals love creativity which is why he decided to spare her. Lestat plays piano, sings, loves opera, acting and art so of course he has a 5H venus. They also want to share this passion with their loved ones, which is why Lestat takes Louis to operas. Venus 5H natives like partying and pleasure activies which is why Lestat met Louis at the Fair Play Saloon.

• Venus 5Hrs are also very generous, Lestat buys lavish gifts for Louis and when they’re apart he writes him a song to show how apologetic he is.

Sagittarius Mars (canon) 5H - I was questioning whether to change this placement to another sign, however, this placement is perfect for him. Mars 5H parents can be overly controlling towards their children and Lestat and Claudia for the most part did not get along. When Claudia refuses to finish their chess game in season 1, Lestat becomes agitated. Board games fall under the 5H which means his passion can become a source of anger if he is unhappy with something. This placement also makes someone impulsive. We all remember when Lestat killed that tenor from the opera because he made mistakes right?

Sagittarius Mars’ in the 5H are natural leaders and dominate with their presence. Louis was intimidated by him in the church, and so are others. But people look up to him, see him as their leader and follow him. They also have a lot of physical energy which Lestat puts towards hunting and his talents.

Mars in the 5H natives have a strong sex drive and when Lestat isn’t getting any from Louis he turns to Antoinette to fulfill that need.

The astrology of Gilmore Girls characters PART 1

— happy fall everyone ☕️🍂

* PSA - I won’t be going off canon, just my own interpretation but a lot of them match canon. Gilmore girls really thought of astrology when giving the characters their birthdays. Also the explanations aren’t that long or detailed because I’m lazy..

Rory Gilmore

Libra sun:

Rory is canonically a Libra sun and in my opinion this fits her perfectly. She’s charming, romantic, a people pleaser, diplomatic and intelligent.

Cancer moon:

This placement indicates an intense bond with the mother. Rory is dependant on Lorelai and vise versa - in a way which some would view as toxic (Lorelai often was too open with Rory as if she was a friend not her daughter)

Virgo rising:

Whilst this placement can be deemed as intimidating, I feel like Rory’s libra placements make up for it for good first impressions. With mercury being her chart ruler it explains her love for learning and her ambition. Rory was also perfectionistic when it came to school - (obsessing over Harvard, extracurriculars) etc. Very self critical and can’t handle criticism which comes in to play during her Yale drop out situation.

Naturally charming and pleasant. Talented at public speaking - although Paris was intelligent she was too blunt sometimes. Rory has a tendency to avoid conflict too.

Sagittarius venus:

Throughout the show Rory juggled a few relationships but often commitment was an issue. Kissing Tristan whilst in a relationship with Dean, Kissing Jess whilst in a relationship with Dean & the Dean/Lindsay situation. To preface, this placement doesn’t mean you’re a cheater just that commitment is something you might struggle with until you find ‘the one’ — I think the closest thing to that on the show was Logan considering she only kissed Jess once she found out Logan was seeing other people. Notably in the early seasons Rory was unable to respond when Dean and Jess told her they loved her for the first time (a lot of this is to do with her family upbringing and her parents divorce) but her venus placement could explain some of this too. Sagittarius venus’ love intellectual people so this could explain her attraction to Jess in particular.

Gemini mars:

Excels at hurting people with words “Huh quippy why so silent” she always had good comebacks. Debates is one of Rory’s specialities so it makes sense for her to have a Gemini mars.

Lorelai Gilmore

Taurus sun:

So many people have said this before but Taurus is just the perfect sign for her. Lorelai was one of the most stubborn characters on the show — even if she needed help with something she would try to deal with it on her own. Despite what she went through she had ambition to succeed in her own way without the help of her parents. Very generous with her loved ones. The downside I would say is the possessiveness she had over Rory which could be a little toxic sometimes. Craves financial security.

Sagittarius moon:

Sagittarius moons do not like to be controlled, Lorelai needed her personal freedom and independence from her parents and relationships. Also known for their witty humour - Lorelai was one of the funniest characters on the show never a dull moment.

Cancer rising:

Compassionate and empathetic. Mothering energy. Clingy towards loved ones (Rory, Suki, Luke) loves having a routine it’s the little things that make them happy. Such as stopping by at Luke’s every morning.

Gemini mercury: Quick witted humorous and fast spoken. Intelligent and talkative - knows how to argue and cut deep with words. Despite not attending college she has always been very bright and mercury is at home in the sign of Gemini.

Aries venus: Not afraid to jump headfirst into new relationships even if things go impulsively. For example planning a wedding with Max just to call it off shortly before. But once they find the right person they’re loyal and passionate lovers.

Taurus mars:

As someone with this placement can confirm we do not like to be rushed into anything. This exacerbates Lorelai’s stubbornness even more. Anger builds up steadily over time and there is a tendency to hold grudges.

Emily Gilmore

Virgo sun:

I do understand why people think Emily is a Scorpio but to me she gives earth sign sun energy. Especially Virgo. The negative traits of Virgo can be the need to be in control of every situation. Which is the case for Emily. Not to mention her neurotic behaviour. A lot of the times she always imagined the worst case scenario for every situation.

Scorpio moon:

Highly sensitive but good at hiding it. Emily was actually a very sensitive person but struggled to show how she felt. Scorpio moons keep their emotions hidden inside. She also possess a very intense personality.

Capricorn rising:

Mature and practical with a serious demeanour. Often she was perplexed by Lorelai’s humour and rather than being witty she had more sarcastic/dry humour. Unintentionally funny without even realising it. Fashion sense is put together and sensible.

Leo mercury:

Flair for the dramatics. Can be arrogant and unable to see the perspectives of others. Craves attention and admiration from others.

Scorpio venus:

Intensely passionate lovers and highly loyal to Richard.

Virgo mars:

Aggression is shown through criticism. Usually don’t have large outbursts of anger rather more quiet and purposeful. Service oriented (Friday night dinners)

Themes of Escapism:

Coraline wants an escape from ordinary life which is a theme of the 12th house.

The 12th house rules over illusions, dreams + the unseen realm.

The Other Mother projects an ideal world to tempt people in which is everything you could ever want; but isn’t as it seems. This is very clear Neptunian, energy which correlates to the 12th house and the fact that by the end we are unsure if she ever really left the Other World.

Alice in Wonderland

There’s a very dream like aura to the movie and the 12th house rules over dreams, imagination + escapism.

Alice herself definitely has some Pisces/12H influence in her chart as well. The the whole movie, including the scenery, has a 12H vibe to it.

That’s really accurate thank you for the explanation (: I did keep the houses in mind especially venus and moon in the 6H but you really encapsulated everything so well. The mars 3H makes so much sense she really does have that kind of relationship with her brother and the 5H placements and her creativity, you’re so right.

The big 6 of Mother Gothel in my opinion with explanations 🥀

* None of these placements are inherently evil but because she is a villain I will be listing the dark side of these placements.

Leo sun:

- Gothel’s motivation for stealing the flower was to preserve her youthful beauty. This is a very Leo motivation imo as a dark side of Leo can be selfishness and vanity furthermore, Leo’s like to look their best and are very concerned with their physical looks, stealing a flower to keep the self young and beautiful is something a Leo would do.

- Her personality is bold, dramatic, stubborn and theatrical like a Leo and she has big thick hair which is a physical feature of Leo’s.

Virgo moon:

- The dark side of virgo moons is that they can be incredibly critical of their environment. We see this with Gothel when she is criticising Rapunzel during Mother knows best.

- Gothel’s ‘love’ for Rapunzel is of course fake, but the way she showed appreciation to Rapunzel was through acts of service. She would travel to gather ingredients for Rapunzel’s favourite soup as her way of showing her ‘love’ and Virgo is the sign of service.

- Virgo moons can be very controlling. Virgo placements always want to be in control of their environment.

- They can be quite closed off with their emotions and Gothel is never seen to show much emotion

Scorpio rising

- For the physical features, Gothel has huge piercing eyes and a beak like nose which are the physical traits of a Scorpio rising. Scorpio placements in general are known to have very big eyes and she has the big eyes of a Scorpio rising.

- Scorpio risings are very mysterious and secretive, Gothel is a very secretive person and doesn’t like to reveal much about herself to anyone yet can get others to reveal themselves to her. With Pluto as her chart ruler, it makes sense why she is such a dark manipulative character.

Leo mercury

- Leo Mercury’s tend to be enthusiastic storytellers, in Mother know’s best she puts on a show for Rapunzel to scare her into avoiding the outside world. Exaggerating the story immensely which is a Leo mercury trait.

- She is boastful, arrogant and stubborn in her speech which is fixed fire and she refuses to listen to anyone but herself.

Virgo venus

- Similar to the Virgo moon traits, Virgo in venus are perfectionists when it comes to beauty and their physical appearance, always wanting to look their best. They can be very critical of others of what they perceive as flaws.

- Love shown through practical means not through physical affection. This placement can be quite cold when it comes to showing affection to others, and as we can see with Gothel her ‘love’ language was making dishes and gift giving. Although all to her own gain.

Leo mars

- Leo in mars means displays of anger are dramatic and over the top. Leo mars’ can also have short tempers, and their ego is tied up in their actions.

- They always try to get what they want and everything has to be their way or no way due to the stubborn nature of fixed fire.

- Driven passionate and theatrical
