25 years ago today the Berlin Wall fell, and to celebrate here are a few photos i took while visiting Germany. The first image is from what was known as the deathstrip and the little girl is an image from Checkpoint Charlie, a museum in Berlin that really gave me chills as i learned some of the horrors surrounding the Berlin Wall.
Artist Michael Murph has created Gun Country, a site specific installation that consists of 130 toy guns for the open art competition ArtPrize this year.
VIVA LA VIDA! Loved helping out at the screen print booth on Saturday. Held in downtown ATX, Mexic-Arte Museum's annual parade and accompanying festival brings culture to the middle of the music capitol.

Here are the postcards made by my female artist group! We create interactive installations through St. Edwards University. This installation was a two part kinesthetic and then writing prompt activity where you create a journey through our maze of maypoles and then you answer the prompt how will you take on your world? Its interesting to see individuals different paths physically manifested in an art piece. I think that seeing a visual of how crazy and tangled life can get is reassuring in a way...
The SEU Installation Team that i'm a part of created this maypole maze in order to physically show the journeys that individuals take as they are living life! Visualizing the tangled paths puts life in a different perspective. This public art piece is located at St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas.
I was able to get a private tour of Plug Project (KC gallery) with one of the hardworking owners that makes the magic happen! Currently they had Madeline Galluci's "Confectionary" up. She received a Charlotte Street Urban Culture Project residency where she constructed her art pieces where both wall decals, painted canvas, and directly applied paint is exhibited. Wonderful work and incredibly talented, this artist embodies the type of work that Plug Project likes to promote.
This studio is run by Heinrich Toh where he executes his projects in a myriad of ways. He often holds classes and workshops. Really awesome and creative guy, this print shop is located inside of the Oracle taxidermy shop i posted about a while ago. These are the gems of KC, MO that i came across while touring with artist Alexandra Robinson
