Under Grace..."Love is always the answer to what the law demands". agapē love; seeking the other persons highest good. Yes, Christ broke the bondage and the curse of the law and set us free by becoming a curse for us. The Fall of Mankind is important to Bible Study. It is because of this one event that we have the Bible. No fall, no sin and no need for a Redeemer, but that's not the case. Adam did disobey God, sin entered the world and our relationship with God was severed. Note: The fall is covered in great detail in the intro class.

For the first 2000 years, God dealt directly with all mankind. Then God called one man, Abraham to start a race of people for Himself, the Jews. The Jerusalem Council what really Happened? Acts 15
Paul was sent by the risen Lord Jesus Christ to the Jerusalem Church to tell them how it was going to be moving forward.
The apostle Paul had new revelations that included the gospel of grace, the Body of Christ, and all the doctrine for the Church today.
It was Paul that was given the doctrine for Church organization and qualifications.
Peter and the other 11 apostles offered nothing to Paul.
At the Jerusalem Council, 1500 years of the Mosaic Law came to an end.
Christendom has minimized the apostle Paul's role surrounding the Jerusalem Council. With a narrative that goes something like: Paul was called up to the Jerusalem Church to discuss the problems he was having with members from the Jerusalem Church commanding Gentiles keep the law or they cannot be saved. So Peter, James, and John with the help of the Church Elders could make a decision on what to do. That is one of the popular narratives but across the board most teaching on “Jerusalem Council” completely distort the truth of the apostle Paul’s role at the Jerusalem Council.
The Truth About Paul’s Role
The record shows that God chose Paul, not Peter, to reveal the gospel of grace and all the doctrine for the grace age Church. “ELEVEN (11) YEARS AFTER PENTECOST” Peter, James, John and all at the Jerusalem Church knew NOTHING about the gospel of grace until Paul shared it with them at the Jerusalem Council.
Really? Has anyone read their Bible lately?
Paul was chosen by God to preach to Gentiles. This was something that hasn't happened since before the call of Abraham and one of the main reason's why the Jews troubled Paul so harshly. They "the Gentiles" have nothing to do with our God! The Jews as a whole could not except that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was now going to the "Gentiles".
THREE YEARS WITH THE RISEN LORD JESUS IN ARABIA
The apostle Paul spends three years with the risen and glorified Lord Jesus Christ somewhere in the desert of Arabia. The time element is around 35-38 AD, Paul was with the Lord in Arabia for 3 years until around 40 AD. During these three years, God reveals to Paul the gospel of grace, and doctrines for the grace age Church. (Galatians 1:11,12, 15, 16, 18)
Gentiles Had NO Access to Israel’s God for 2000 Years
Up until the apostle Paul around 40 AD, God was dealing with His chosen people and had no prophecy to the Gentile world. The Gentile world had zero access to God.
God makes it crystal clear in Ephesians 2:11&12, that up until the gospel of grace that was revealed to Paul, (40 AD, 11 years after Pentecost) mankind had no hope and was without God.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Ephesians 2:11,12
But Now... (after the cross)
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Gentile Salvation to Through Israel
God has always had salvation of the Gentile world in mind but it was to come through His chosen people, Israel. (Isaiah 49:5,6) The Old Testament is clear that Isreal was to be the light to the world. But Israel rejected that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God and along with the Romans crucified their very own Messiah.
In early Acts, the apostle Peter preaches his heart out to his kinsman, to the nation of Israel, to repent for murdering their Messiah, and be Baptized and God would send Jesus Christ, God would still send Israel's promised King!!! (Acts 3:19-26) Even after what they did.
Israel as a nation continued to reject the message Peter and the 11 preached. It is after the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7, where God makes a change. God call's Saul, who would become Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles. (Acts 9:15)
THIS WAS A BIG DEAL, ALMOST UNTHINKABLE, JEWS WERE GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE. JEWS HAD NO ASSOCIATION WITH GENTILES, GENTILES WERE LOOKED AT AS FILTHY DOGS.
Israel's God is now going to the Gentiles!
After 1500 years of the Mosaic Law. The Abrahamic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant, 1500 years of promises to His chosen people! What's happening? What about everything God promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. What about the promise He made to King David in 2 Samuel 7, that through David's descendants would come Israel's King, the King of kings, He (Jesus Christ) would sit on his (David's) throne in Jerusalem and rule all the nations forever?
God Will Fulfill His Promises
Nothing happened but a pause in the Old Testament prophetic timeline. You really think God will not fulfill what He promised His chosen people? Is God a liar? Has Christ returned to sit on David’s throne in Jerusalem and rule the nations? Was God playing games with David? When God says I will or I shall, you can bank on the fact that it’s going to happen.
Israel’s Fall is Our Gain
It is because of Israel’s fall, transgression that the Gentile world has this glorious gospel of grace.
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
Romans 11:11,12
Israel is Blinded...Until
For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Romans 11:25
God makes it clear in Romans 11:25, that the nation of Israel will be blinded UNTIL the last Gentile is saved! Which will end the dispensation of grace and the Body of Christ is raptured. Then God will turn His attention back to Israel, there will be 7 years of tribulation than at the end of the tribulation God will save His chosen people.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Romans 11:26,27

The Setting
The first 2000 years of human history are found in the first 11 chapters of the bible. From Genesis 1 to Genesis 11, mankind speaks one language (Genesis 11:1) and God deals directly with ALL MANKIND.
God destroys mankind in the flood (Genesis 7) because of their wickedness (Genesis 6:5,6) and starts over with Noah and his family. It takes mankind a short couple of hundred years to disobey God again at the tower of Babel.
After God scatters mankind from the Tower of Babel by confusing their language. (Genesis 11:7,8) Just a short 200 years go by and again mankind turns his back on God. (Joshua 24:2)
The next 2000 years God does something completely different and chooses one man. Creates a race of people for Himself and the Gentile world has no access to God for two thousand years. Ephesians 2:11,12.

The Gospel
The gospel for us today is that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day. Anyone that believes by “faith” in this “good news” will be saved. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9,10) There is nothing, nothing, nothing a person must do to be saved but believe by faith. Salvation is by the grace of God, Salvation is given to us freely (Romans 6:23) by believing by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8,9) that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose three days later. Trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross alone, is the only way a person is saved.
Anyone that believes the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 1:16) is saved, instantly sealed with Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), immediately becomes a member of the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:13) which is the church, and is blessed with all spiritual blessing in the heavenly’s. (Ephesians 1:3)
What do you have to do to be saved?
Believe the gospel.
Faith. The key ingredient for salvation is faith. Believing, trust and faith all mean the same thing. A person has to believe what God says.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4,5
Faith has always been the necessary ingredient to salvation. The bible makes it crystal clear that it is impossible to please God without faith.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
From the very beginning of the bible in Genesis, faith has been what saves. By faith Abel offered God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, by faith Noah believed God, built the ark and was found righteous. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. Throughout the bible salvation has always been the result of a person’s faith (believing) in what God says. But today, and since the time (around 35-36 A.D.) the apostle Paul was given the gospel of Grace by direct revelation by the risen and glorified Lord Jesus Christ Himself. (Galatians 1:11,12) All mankind is saved by faith alone! Just by believing in the gospel you are saved.
The Road to Salvation
First, the “good news” the “gospel” message for us today is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Next, the reason to believe. The purpose of the gospel is to save mankind from judgement, condemnation, and an eternity separated from God in the lake of fire. You must realize that ALL mankind is already judged, condemned and going to hell.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5:18
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25:41
Why are we condemned? Because of Adam’s sin, mankind is cursed, we all fall short, and are condemned to to hell, and there is nothing a person can say or do to change that. Living a good life won’t work, going to church once a month won’t get you out of hell, obeying the ten commandments will not keep you from hell, baptism won’t help you, tithing won’t save you, good works will not save you either.
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
Lastly and most importantly, you’ve heard the good news and the bad news, you know there is nothing you can do that will save you from an eternity in hell, separated from God. All that’s left to do is believe… Jesus Christ took care of the sin problem by paying the penalty for those that believe.
For He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor 5:21
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. John 14:6
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9-10
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Truly believing isn’t believing in a narrative or in a bunch of facts about God. First, you must believe in your heart that there is nothing you can do to save yourself from a destiny in the lake of fire and separation from God because of sin. (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, Romans 5:18) Secondly, you must truly believe in you heart that the only way to be saved from a certainty in a lake of fire is believing the gospel; (Romans 1:16, Romans 10:8,9) that God sent His only Son to die for your sins, was buried and was He resurrected 3 days later. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
