What If Aang lived as an Avatar in his time, seeing the destruction of his people, remaining faithful to his ideas but with a failure as ana Avatar, and with Yue as the New Avatar without Aang as Hakoda's father and grandfather of Sokka and Katara, and with an Air Bender Sokka?
It could be interesting. Maybe with Yuekka as Final Ship and with Azula in the Place of Zuko cause their mother told Azulon about Ozai's Plan and he had thought that Zuko, a Good Pure Heart, could be manipulated as an Heir and Perfect Weapon, especially After the death of his sons Ozai and Iroh and the dishonorable Lu Ten's defeat After the Great Conquest of Ba Sing Se.
So Suki would die in the Place of Jet, while Zuko and Mai could have a Toxic Relationship cause Zuko doesn't know a different way to have love, when an unstable and one time Perfect Azula became the princess not so appreciated by the Fire Lord Azulon, so much that She would have her hand Burned, losing the ability to bend lightning, and with a love story with Jet.
Everybody can choice about Katara, but She would remain Aang's Favourite Niece.
Damn, I created a different AU, and I don't think that It would be the more common of them, especially for Lu Ten as Azula's Iroh and more generous to his cousin Zuko.
Man, some of them are so boring.
And about LoK's AUs, It needs only a LoK Who follows the Original Lore and with Logical and Narrative Coherence, without Retcons or strange fusion among an orientalist interpretation of Yin-Yang with the persians Ahura Mazda and Ahriman. Yes, I'm speaking about Raava and Vaatu, and of the 20's Setting in.
Context for choices 1, 2 and 9
My little au on if Aang never left
For my Zuko/Azula as prodigies. Basically they are both naturally gifted Firebenders. Zuko faces Ozai in combat, but Zuko faces Ozai. As Ozai is about to finish Zuko, Zuko hits Ozai with white flame and then Ozai declares Zuko the victory and he gains his father's respect. Eventually Zuko and Azula are at a sibling rivalry, trying to outdo each other and even trying to kill each other for their father's approval and to win the throne. Ozai puts their ambitions to the test. Whomever captures Ba Sing Sei, Northern Water Tribes and the Avatar first becomes Ozai's successor.
This video better explains it

Asami as Amon
Asami witnessed the brutal murder of her mother, but it wouldn't be by just any benders. It would be the Red Lotus Society.
Zaheer planned to finish the job, but Toph came to the rescue.
the spirits would take pity on Asami and gift her energy bending and Asami would use her father's wealth to master Chi-Blocking and use their wealth to fund and arm the Equalists.
Amon or in this case Asami wins at the end of Book 1. Tarrlok is still captured by Amon, when Korra sees him and they chat, he tells the whole story of Amon as it happened in the show to her and everything. Like it goes in the show. Korra and friends go to confront Amon at the arena where Tenzin and his family are about to lose their bending. But they don’t because she gets there in time. She accuses Amon of being a bender, as per Tarrlok’s story. Amon doesn’t unmask. And he isn’t a bender. Tarrlok lied to get Korra to confront Amon so that he could capture her and he could hopefully save his own skin for the service at least. They fight. Amon takes Korra’s bending in a big demonstrative way. So all the crowd can see what comes to any benders, especially The Avatar who stand against him. Then the reveal happens. Asami is Amon.

Art by nikoniko_808
In order to get her bending back and learn how to give others their bending back (yeah, Korra wouldn’t get it back at the end of Book 1 because consequences? What’re those?), Korra has to go on a quest to learn her bending(her masters would be Toph, Katara, Izumi and Tenzin) in the Spirit World to understand everything. Korra does not cry about loosing her bending because she realized she’s still The Avatar and has to go to The Spirit World to get her bending back, to help everyone get their bending back and stop Asami
Throughout the series, we would meet Kya, Bumi, Izumi, Eska, Desna(Eska and Desna would be Korra’s siblings in this universe, because fuck Unaloq) Opal and Kai. We have the same romance between Bolin and Opal and Jinora and Kai. We would also meet Varrick and Zhu Li, because they are comedy gold. They would all help in the fight against Amon and the Equalists.
In Korra's venture to the Spirit World,
she would still see Wan’s story(because that’s the only thing I liked about Book 2) and I think in her journey in the spirit world she would see Asami’s story, in which her family were victims of the Red Lotus society and Asami learned to take bending away in the spirit world. Not only that, we would find out that Asami would be bonded with Vaatu. Asami is the darker Avatar.
Before she leaves The Spirit World she connects with all her past lives to ask what she should do about Asami. Korra has her Aang moment where she has too has to decide what to do like he did with the fire lord, only this time there's more to it than just stopping the bad guy. It’s about the person she loved. She can restore everyone’s bending by reversing Amon’s convergence, but she can't do that so long as the avatar spirit is split. And as long as Asami is part avatar, she can go into the avatar state. That's still pretty damn dangerous even with only water and blood bending. Korra realizes the only thing she can do to stop Asami? Love her.
After her journey to relearn her bending and journey in the spirit world, Korra travels the world to gain allies. From the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribes and Air Nomads. Korra unites the world against Amon and the Equalists.
In the final fight, Korra defeats Amon. She exorcises Vaatu from Asami, thus ending the dark Avatar and stopping Amon’s convergence. She reverses what Asami has done and uses it to restore everyone’s bending. So she has to come to the hard part. Amon makes it clear, no matter what, even without the ability to energy bend or without Vaatu, Amon will never stop, Benders will never be safe. Korra shows Asami what she was denied. Korra loves her and forgives her. Asami gives up and accepts whatever punishment.
During Book 3, Asami would work with Korra in stopping and killing the Red Lotus society. However, when Zaheer is stopped. He is left at the mercy of Asami and for everything he’s done and turned her into. Asami kills him.
Book 4 happens. Asami's redemption is rebuilding Republic City and using Future Industries to repair the damage she's done as Amon. Blah blah blah Korra stops Kubira blah blah. Asami earns her redemption and the love of the krew and more importantly Korra. Ends with Korra and Asami venturing in the Spirit World and ends with a kiss.

That's cool, mate!
It works very well. He becomes a real villain master of manupulation.
Concept: Ozai escapes prison with the help of his loyalists and dons a new identity.

The new identity is only a facade to lure people in, gain their trust, and to dispel suspicions when they arise. He would use this in his games of deception and manipulation. His goal is to sow seeds of doubt in the Fire Nation to cause an uprising and reinstall himself as Fire Lord.

A lot of blind fans will hate you.
Very much. Frankly, I think that forgetting and refusing the Original Lore was a mistake, made only because Di Martino and Konietzko wanted more Freedom for LoK. Sadly, they created a lot of plot holes and retcons.
And a lot of fans refuse to see these mistakes, cause It would complicate their favourite Story, and their personal idea that AtlA's franchise is Perfect, Modern and with a lot of Deep Subjects.
I understand the needing and necessity of Dogmas, obviously, but they need Coherence.
And frankly, the same Ursa have no similarity with Real People in toxic relationships, cause the Real Toxic Relationships are a bit more complicated, with a terrible psychological depences.
Ursa is a figure without responsabilities, so she is Perfect for a oversimplified narrative.
And sadly, a lot of people refuse Real Complexity of Relationships.
Angry again over the ATLA fandom's treatment of Ursa, one of the biggest victims in the entire series of the FN Royal Family.
People treat the Royal Family like it's just another abusive household, which results in the overly harsh treatment of Ursa, who was the most powerless person in that entire family by political standards. She was a lowborn, engaged to the younger prince as a test to merge the bloodlines of the Royal Family with that of an Avatar's. She was basically forced into an experimental arranged marriage to a disposable heir, cut off from her family, and thrown into a pit of vipers AKA the Royal Palace.
Imagine being in her shoes. Imagine having virtually no support or standing in an unfamiliar place where even the slightest mistake could result in either humiliation at best or death at worst. She is married to a horrible man who despises the fact that he doesn't even get a noble for a wife, that he is being ridiculed by being married off to a lowborn and basically being told that it was impossible for him to ever be the Fire Lord, since if he had a fair shot wouldn't they have ensured a better marriage prospect? He gains no supporters or additional backing through his wife, which he should have had as a prince, and doesn't that just sting? He's discredited in Azulon's eyes, and in the eyes of the nobility, so what chance does he have to rise above his station now?
Who do you think took the brunt of his shame and anger at his situation? Who would have suffered most at the hands of an angry young man who had no qualms with burning his own thirteen-year-old son for just daring to speak up unasked?
People claim Ursa had let go of Azula because she thought Azula was a monster and that she only helped Zuko because he was kind. Zuko was allowed to be kind because he was deemed weak, and Ozai didn't want to pay attention to him. He is only kind because of his mother's influence, which he wouldn't have had if he was up to Ozai's standards. If he had been, Ozai would have kept Ursa and Zuko separate to better control Zuko and ensure his son's loyalty. He wanted his heir to be a child that he could paint entirely in his own image to cover up the fact that their other parent was a peasant, which would cast further doubts on his rights and position within the palace.
People make it out to be like Ursa CHOSE to save Zuko, laughably assuming that this woman had the ability to CHOOSE anything, much less ANY sort of power within the palace. Even her own children outranked her in the nobles' eyes by virtue of having royal blood. She lived in the place where her husband worked and where all the servants answered to either him or his father, so she was never truly free to move or act. Every move was watched. Every interaction was noted.
Ursa was able to influence and help Zuko by showing him a form of kindness, but notice how she never said a bad word about Ozai or the Royal Family? She couldn't. She never twisted Zuko away or tried to outright call her husband wrong—she even defended some of his actions despite knowing otherwise. She could not act or speak freely. She knew she was being watched. She couldn't even pull Zuko away completely from Ozai—that's how utterly powerless she was. Her children loved a monster, and she could do nothing to stop them.
We are shown in canon that Ursa and Zuko spend time together, but that's just it. Ursa never tries to turn Zuko "good" or convince him Ozai is terrible because she CAN'T. She does her best by being stern and setting examples, and Zuko is desperate enough for love to internalize every moment with her, but the pond scene shows how Ursa was only able to do just that—play the role of a stern, kind mother.
And the thing is—if given the chance, she'd save them both. She loved them both, even if Azula reminded her too much of the monster that she married. If she had ever had the opportunity, she would have left with both. Except she couldn't because once Ozai had his prodigy, she was never going to be able to go near her child ever again. Ursa would try, through Zuko as we see in the flashback, to reach her daughter somehow, but it never worked. If she truly always thought of Azula as a "monster", would she let her "perfect son" go play with her? She could have shut Azula out completely and discourage her from ever coming close, Azula is young enough to still listen to her Mom, but we see both Azula and Zuko at her side reading the letter. Ursa doesn't lean away from her daughter. We see her hesitate but never flinch away when she is near Azula.
Ursa only spent time with Zuko because he was the only one she COULD have paid attention to, not because she CHOSE to. Ozai paid him no interest, so she was ALLOWED to spend her time with Zuko. If she had the chance, the allowance, to spend time with Azula she would have done it in a fucking heartbeat. People paint her as "saving" the one "who could be saved" or "throwing Azula to the wolves to focus on Zuko" as if she had any fucking choice, as if she didn't took what crumbs she could get to be close to her children. She didn't toss Azula aside, Ozai KEPT THEM APART. I REPEAT, HE KEPT THEM APART. He did NOT want his lowborn wife influencing his prized heir with her ways, so he kept them apart, READ THAT AGAIN.
It was never Ursa "choosing" which of her kids to save and protect. It was always her doing her best to use her limited, almost non-existent freedom of movement to reach her children in any way, and Zuko just happened to be free. If anyone was doing the whole "focusing on one kid and tossing aside the other" it. Was. Ozai.

My view about It.
I don't think that pesants and industrial workers would be Happy fornthe End of the War. They worked for the Army, and their economy existed to support the Army.
And a lot of them would be soldiers.
The new Fire Lord have to conquer their trust and fidelity, or they would attack the "Usurper" in the name of the Righteous Fire Lord.
But maybe, the Crown could see the conditions of the workers, discovering that farmers worked lands that aren't them under the aristocratic landowners, and the workers in industry are exploited. Then, the Fire Lord or his enemies should give to them some Promises, like becoming Real Farmers and having Better conditions or a partecipation in their factories.
So, maybe Minister Qin's son, the Key Lime Pie, could see the conditions of workers, maybe because Minister Qin isn't an aristocratic like Mai's family (that could be landowners), but an industrial and a merchant.
Here's for you @camcat1320 , these things that I'm using for my fanfiction.
"Can the Fire Nation be redeemed?" "Dude, they were about to 'win' the war using Sozin's comet, I don't think they can be redeemed the next day!"
The situation is like that the story could easily continue with many (and I mean many. Half of the nation even) FN characters still being the villains.
Their new Fire Lord took the throne via a dubious Agni Kai duel against Azula who hadn't yet been officially crowned, and their previous Fire Lord Ozai was taken down by the Avatar, who (supposedly) most of the Fire Nation does not recognize as a legitimate authority figure due to a century of propaganda that elevated the Fire Lord and FN's own "greatness".
The Fire Nation was winning and suddenly overnight, they are informed that not only do they have a new Fire Lord, they're also immediately halting all war efforts, have surrendered, are retreating their army back to homeland and are about to start paying reparations. At least half of the country would be outraged. They were profiting from the war! And they're not about to give up because a branded traitor, scarred boy king ordered it.
The peasants are mostly glad the war stopped, the industry is confused and worried about profits, and the military is furious. Zuko and Iroh would probably have a very difficult time establishing control over it, as many splinter factions would pull it apart and plunge the Fire Nation into civil war in a desperate attempt to quickly resume the old course, especially when the information about Ozai being still alive and Azula still having her firebending spreads.
There could easily be another season where these problems are tackled, and villains still aggressively bend fire and spread destruction.

In a steam-punk version of LoK, that set in a society between First and Second Industrial Revolutions in a more coherent world building faithful to the Original Lord and with a Good combination of Asian Cultures and Modern like the first seasons of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, these things would have been written.
Sadly, these things will never be. Not with Di Martino and Konietzko with roles of responsabilities in Avatar Studios.
And I'm not a Great fan of Suki and Sukka, but I would prefer a better development for our Kyoshi Warrior.
Ways Legend Of Korra could've paid tribute to Suki instead of acting like she never existed
Suki is the cop, not Toph. Suki would have formed the Republic City Police, in this case. The Republic City Kyoshi Guard. Suki enforcing the rules and law makes way more sense than Toph. Lin would be Sokka and Suki’s daughter and would have a brother named Hakoda in honor of Sokka’s father and both would be in charge of the police after Suki’s retirement. Lin always wears the Kyoshi Warrior make up to honor her mother and Hakoda inherits his father’s boomerang and cunning mind. Toph “fuck the rules” Beifong would never in a million lifetimes EVER be a cop. I find it hard to believe Toph, the rebel who hates rules would become the very institution she despised, if anything Toph would be the Founder of Pro-Bending or a nomad Earthbending/Metalbending master and a hermit. Suyin would be her daughter and The Duke or Teo would be the father.
Suki leads a new generation of Kyoshi Warriors that helps train Korra non-bending techniques to counter the Equalists Chi-Blocking techniques.
Just giving Suki a statue in Republic City. Literally anywhere.
One little mention to her existence. Bumi mentioning he was trained by uncle Sokka and aunt Suki would've been enough.
In The Red Lotus Society's attempt to steal Korra, Sokka and Suki died protecting the Avatar
I came up with 5 near perfect scenarios that could've paid tribute to Suki. All Bryke did was act like she never existed or didn't matter. Fuck you, Suki deserved better.
#for real#the kyoshi warriors were police and border patrol and social service rolled into one#i agree#i am not a fan#but this is good#these are good#atla suki#suki atla#kyoshi warriors#bryke critical

Well, I'm Happy for you.
You don't change your views, and I didn't, but you have a good laugh. That's Good.
Can you pass me a tissue?😭🤧 Thank you.
It sounds crazy but I feel like Mako is referring to the nostalgic atla fandom when he refers to "your time si over" considering that the governor of the island was still clinging to the old dictatorial ways of the fire nation during the hundred year war. Besides, it's clear that the only people still clinging to the era of Aang; are the nostalgic and extreme fans of Atla.
But that aside... I love how Mako spoke plainly to the guy. Without a doubt I leave him in his place.😌
I dare say this is one of the best comics in the entire tlok franchise and the Avatar universe in general.
This is what I want to see Avatar Studios!!!!

Mmmh, this is typical of a 12 year old writer of fanfiction who makes a self insert as a Powerful Deity.
And I'm not saying about the post.
And more important, It's the contrary: the majority of the people, especially young and children, prefer the Old show and they consider LoK a bit immature.
So, I Hope that It isn't like It's written, because in that case It would be a bit embarassing, like some people Who masturbate looking themselves.
Sadly, I found this comic boring. And I'm sorry for who loved it, and for LoK fans, really.
I tried to appreciate the show. Sadly, I found all the characters and adventures boring, exagerate, without sense and a strange Copy of Sci-Fi stories. And I don't like Sci-Fi.
And I found the two authors, Di Martino and Konietzko, as two immature guys Who can't dialogue with other people and they just take those people with different ideas as stupid morons or racists.
And two libertarians with a fanatical anticommunist like a MAGA fan.
Maybe I'm the wrong person for this franchise.
It sounds crazy but I feel like Mako is referring to the nostalgic atla fandom when he refers to "your time si over" considering that the governor of the island was still clinging to the old dictatorial ways of the fire nation during the hundred year war. To answer to @camcat1320 question about spirits... Yes.
Yes, they can be killed. It isn't easy, but except for Abrahamitic Religions and for a Buddha in Buddhism, spirits in religione can be killed, or they can die. Especially Spirits of Death People, cause they could become evil spirits if their families don't do the rites and sacrificed, and then they can be killed.
It isn't easy kill a being like Wan Shi Tong, but technically yes, they can be killed.
Ah, more important: Tui and La. And if a Spirit dies in Material World, they would be cancelled Forever.
So while rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender recently, I noticed a trend
A number of spirits we see have an animal form, specifically animals we recognize as "normal" for us. For example:
- Wan Shi Tong is an owl and his knowledge seekers are foxes
- Tui and La are koi fish
- Hei Bai is a panda
-The guardian of the mother of faces is a wolf (The Search)
Heck there's even the talking Baboon spirit and the monkey missing its face that we see in the Spirit World at the end of Season 1.
Basically every time we've seen a "normal" animal, they've been a spirit.
My point? I argue that Bosco is a spirit bear that's chilling and living the good life in the mortal world just because he can.

Well, I'm working a fanfiction with this romance.
But It won't finish Well.
Jet meet Azula in Ba Sing Se cause casually, After the Drill Battle She enters on Ba Sing Se using some secret dungeons discovered with the destruction of the Wall. She used a fake name, and they passed a date with many troubles and interesting activities like being attacked by Dai Li, spied Zuko and Iroh, and passed a dinner when they Say a lot of half truth cause Jet understands that She lies.
Jet survives, She meets again Azula as a Kyoshi Warrior, they have a discussion cause Jet's Plan were refuted by King Kuey and Jet will never serve in Earth Royal Army, he says how Katara called him (Monster), so Azula decides to manipolate him, especially during the Battle in Ba Sing Se's catacombs, with a revelation about Who is that Good old man Who serves tea.
So Jet have a fallen in the dark, and Azula takes him in a twisted way. "You're mine."
And he will be the only one who doesn't leaves her, so no hallucinations for Lightning Psycho. Only intrusive thinkings.
And being pregnant.
Jet will love her, butnin a twisted way, seeing her as the only one Who understands him, while Azula will see him more as a servant, a faithful servant Just like She sees her Friends, but a type more interesting.
She will understand that She loves him only in the end.
Man, maybe remaining death under Laogai Lake would be a Mercy.
But he will have a Heir, a boy called Lu Ten.

And here the storyboard of a fanart about this story.
Mine.
Ah, @camcat1320 , some plans from my fanfiction.
If there’s a guy that can match Azula in terms of personality, it’s Jet (Artwork below by cursedgnomes)

Hear me out, Aang I think is too nice and is better fitted with Toph in terms of theory and arc. Sokka has Suki and Azula will just make him grumpy, serious, and untrusting. A Jetzula could be a lot of work but given Jet hates the FN and Azula looks down on ‘peasants’, I think this is something interesting to explore when it comes to story telling. They could work through their issues together learning a lesson from each other which would be valuable to the reader/consumer as well. In my au, Jet doesn’t die but was gravely injured till Pipsqueak got him to a healer who took him in an enchanted forest. Reason why he wasn’t with the gaang on the Day of the Black Sun.
The forbidden forest is guarded by magical runes and is a secret land for people who just want to be left alone. They have their own government sort of a socialist utopia . They named the forest, ‘Shirazu’. Known for its intricate mazes, later evolving into an idiom of its namesake “to get lost”. The creature shirshu is also native to this land. They are aloof wild creatures and cannot be tamed till Jun chanced upon a large pup while she was running away from the authorities. The forest has lots of ‘secrets’ and became the birthplace of the Order of the White Lotus.
I really need to get going with Legacy of the Six… But life happens lol…
