あぃ☆どるちぇ (Ai☆Dolce) - 1じかんめっ!(1-Jikanme!) [2016]
genre: denpa find: youtube
i've been obsessed with this album since the first time i heard it. the concept is famous classical songs turned into denpa. and boy did they pull it off. it's not a satirical album at all. they got real violins and everything! every single song is catchy, energetic, and fun. it's a real high quality piece of work.
i love the lyrics, too. a lot of denpa albums are about love (or one's panties or older brother), and while this does have a bit of that, most of the lyrics are just silly. the whole album is about school and the friendship between these two girls. for example, track 1 is them getting into an argument, track 4 is about eating your bento before lunchtime, and track 5 is about studying to get 100s on tests.
this is overall just a fantastic album that more denpa fans should hear. it's a shame these guys never did another album!

new cds!
33.turbo - ニャン☆パラ
あぃ☆どるちぇ - 1じかんめっ!
effy sound team - pure white (other edition)
ok so i’m very confused about this other edition of pure white. i assumed it was another reprint but it says est-000 as the cat num, not including a P or R marking it as a reprint. maybe it’s the original copy? however, it’s extremely vibrant in color and feels brand new even though it’d be from 1998.
effy sound team’s archiving online is terrible due to a lot of reprints and different cover arts and their site isn’t really archived much before 2000 soooo….
still extremely happy to have the cd for sure lol

AC94 - Promenade [2000]
genre: electronic find: doujinstyle
this is a really fun and silly album, not a single bad song on it. some great arrangers on this, too.
i wasn't able to listen to it for a while because i couldn't find it, and honestly i thought the cover art was ugly lol. but definitely give this a chance, it's nice and upbeat background music.

夜の風 (Gale in Night) - 夜の風 (Yoru no Kaze) [2000]
genre: electronic, downtempo
find: youtube
hi it's me.
this is a pretty nice short kizuato arrange album. the whole theme is relaxing arrangements, and CESSA and Hud-Pyon did a great job. this does feature 3 versions of the same song, 千鶴, though. idk guys, i think CESSA really likes chizuru. can't be sure though.
gale in night doesn't have many full albums. i've heard this and their third album, and this is better imo. i haven't been assed to look for their 2nd.
i'm going to start adding the circles' names as tags in case someone wants to search for all my posts about them.

U - GWAVE SuperFeature's vol.2 Ultra:U [2005]
genres: denpa, pop rock, j-pop, pop punk
find: youtube
my absolute favorite U album. this one is so special!
it’s a little rough around the edges, including with her vocals, but that’s probably because it’s her first album. then again, it suits the style. this one is much more rock-oriented than her other albums. i adore the pop punk elements, especially in songs like あなたのロケットで. masaya koike’s random guitar solos actually work here. and as always, every song is incredibly catchy and fun to sing along to.
the only song i don’t love is the last one, Ciao, but even that’s not too bad.
at first, i didn’t love this album, but it grew on me quickly. it’s just so fun and pretty unique. i was surprised when i learned this was made in 2005.
U should be more acknowledged by denpa fans, especially in the west. everyone’s all toromi toromi toromi. she’s a great artist as well, but U deserves to be in the spotlight too.

源屋 (Minamotoya) - MINAMOTRANCE CORE i7 [2012]
genres: j-core, happy hardcore, trance
find: spotify, apple music, youtube etc
although minamotoya has some amazing songs, his albums tend to be less listenable. this one is my second favorite of his, and it’s definitely grown on me over time.
what i like about is it that it’s pretty different for him. it opens up with a brostep intro track which carries its genre over into the next song, Broken Disc, although not as intensely. It’s one of the best songs on the album and probably the most unique one. it has a great melody and i love the scratches. Another Day is my favorite song on the album - i’ve been listening to it a lot lately. the melody is very typical minamotoya but it still sticks with me. the piano and vocal samples are nice, and i love the bass, which is more characteristic of hard bass than j-core. overall there are definitely some bangers on this album.
there aren’t any bad songs on this album, which is nice. the remixes aren’t horrible (but i still skip them because i hate remixes at the end of albums).
check this one out. it’s not as good as MINAMOTRANCE CORE BREAK! but it’s still super solid.

hello midianarchist nation. i think i’ll go back to posting music in the new year. for now, here’s everything i’ve ordered from surugaya in the past few months since my last surugaya post. i have a problem.
albums (left to right, top to bottom):
hyper mirrorve - whitewind
再生ハイパーベルーヴ - ぱんださんようちえん
麹町養蚕館 - マストダイ
m1dy - never mind the m1dicks
とろ美 - とろみ仕立て

this marks my first toromi cd and my third hyper beroove cd!
i love my little kanna tapestry. i also managed to get both the kiryu kazuma and ichiban kasuga plushies at the same time for a not ridiculous price and im super happy about that.
hopefully i’ll be back into the swing of things next year (unaware).

風水嵯峨 (Saga Kazami) - ねむれぬよるのために (Nemurenu Yoru no Tame ni) [2002]
genre: classical find: youtube, mediafire (correctly labeled/tagged)
for sleepless nights
i hesitated to listen to this for a while because it's long but now i wish i had heard it sooner.
this is composed by saga kazami, the same guy who composed kuon no kizuna's soundtrack. he's great at writing simple but beautiful piano pieces.
these pieces are "for sleepless nights," and i think that's an excellent title. each song perfectly encapsulates the stages of falling asleep, dreaming, and waking up. very bittersweet, a little sad at times, with a handful of more cheerful tracks. my favorite is 世界は夢, a gorgeous and melancholy piece.
included in the mediafire download is a .txt file called 'kaisetsu' which had corrupted text that i fixed. in this, saga kazami explains how each song relates to falling asleep and writes little comments. it's very interesting to read.
i have chronic sleep problems, and this album has ended up helping me fall asleep quite a lot. for the first time in my life, in fact, i fell asleep with my earbuds still in. in all, i really recommend this album. it's gorgeous.

do you like hardcore techo? if so can you give me a few recommendations?
hi, sorry for the late response, i was away.
i used to like hardcore a lot a few years back. i was really into speedcore and gabber and other stuff like that. though there are a lot of subgenres so i'm not entirely sure what you're looking for but here's a few albums i like:
ophidian's call of the void is pretty good (youtube)
if you want some cool gritty speedcore i recommend m1dy's perfect mathafacka (youtube)
ozigiri's おじぎりなら死にましたけど? is a fun and wacky combination of speedcore and cybergrind (youtube)
not sure if you're into breakcore but if you are definitely check out goreshit's semantics: the benzo chronicles. total masterpiece (youtube)
these are all on various streaming platforms as well.
