My Summer Nights Deep Cut Redesigns + some hopefully not confusing notes regarding the various designs choices I made.

Although I like Deep Cut’s Summer Nights outfits more than their Springfest outfits, especially Big Man’s, I redesigned them as well because I can. At least Big Man’s outfit already looked somewhat unique this time, but Shiver and Frye’s were still recolors of their default costumes. Not surprisingly, I based Shiver and Frye’s redesigns on both swimwear and the type of clothing one would wear on a hot summer day

Recently, I managed to run into a certain infamous Splatoon player while playing Salmon Run

Although I didn’t start playing Splatoon until late 2016, I still want to wish the franchise a happy 10th anniversary. To celebrate, I drew Melody’s first inkling design and their current design

And finally, here’s Shiva’s mermaid form! Hers is the only one that isn’t based on a particular sea creature, since I wasn’t sure which one to take inspiration from

Since I didn’t get to draw Milo and Shiva as mermaids last year, I’ll be doing that this year, starting with Milo. I figured that a clownfish-based design would suit him, since he’s a circus performer

My name is Mo'men, and I’m a young Palestinian who dreamed of a bright future after high school.

Instead of celebrating, I found myself running for my life, escaping bombs, destruction, and fear.😥

Our home was crushed into dust 🏚️. My brother lost his job. My school and my sister’s university turned into shelters for displaced families.

We fought for survival for six long months under bombs and siege, until we finally reached Egypt, carrying nothing but a few plastic bags... and a lot of broken dreams.💔

Today, we have no home, no income, no safe place to call our own.

My father is suffering with severe back pain and can’t work. Medical bills, daily expenses, even the hope of renting a small home—we simply can’t afford it anymore.🥺

But despite everything, I refuse to give up. I still dream of going to university, of rebuilding my life, of standing on my own feet and helping my family.
