Sei was projecting a medical book.

It's been happening for years now, there isn't a concrete cure. Good sleeping habits but She's so busy. Between missions and doing recreational activities she's gets little to no sleep.

" Oi, get your optic out of the book Sei. I've read everything about it already. Yada yada good sleeping habits, I'm tired of talking about it. "

She had her hands raised in frustration as she walked out her room. It's a small dorm, perfect for one. She moved out of Cayde's dorm about 2 years ago. Moving on and settling in somewhere that didn't cause her too much emotion stress was best. They'd already taken much of his belongings and packed them into storage to keep them safe. She kept small things, trinkets and collectables, small bits of good memories. Of good days.

" What's on the meal plan? " She preps her knifes and took a few ingredients from the fridge. She looked over to Sei who floated next to her.

"Tuna melts and some salad." He watched Gabe ease her way towards the cupboard to get some canned tuna, a few seasonings and some lemon.

Sei hovered silently as usual. He's not a talkitive ghost. A few words here and there. Gabe didn't mind it at all. She was heavily focus on what she was doing, Making sure things were precised and her area was clean. On her freetime, Gabe cooks, It's simple and she had control of her environment. She brings food to family and friends, in and out of the tower. She enjoyed the smiles they give her, a complete contrast to what her normal life gives her. Work, work and then what? More work? She hated that.

" And just a bit more pepper and it's done." She smiled and finished the sandwiches. Sei drifted towards the livingroom and turned on the Monitor.

" Do you want to continue watching the crucible matches for today? "

Gabe walked out the kitchen and sat down quickly, sandwich halfway into her mouth. She hummed an audible "Hmmhmm" as she continued to eat her food.

She finished and sat more comfortably on the couch. It was a generic couch, brown and soft. Old but still reliable. First match done and it was a mercy. Poor team didn't get a chance to even touch a point. Either weird matchmaking or just plain bad luck. Shaxx calls for the next match to begin.

She blinked a few times trying to stave off any sleepiness. Sleepiness. She felt the warm embrace it had on her, reminded her of him. She turned to lay on her stomach and held her throat. The warmth and soft pulses of her jugular played a rythmic lull that almost put her to sleep until-

"YEEESSSSS!" Shaxx bellowed out.

She jumped up and out of that embrace and shivered, The room was coolth. She soft called for Sei and sat up.

" Can you give me a blanket? " A soft fleece transmatted onto the couch. She covered herself and laid back down into the same position. Sei set himself down near her head. He turned the monitor's volume down a bit and Looked towards Gabe who was slowly drifting back to sleep.

He watched over her. An hour passed and nothing. She laid still, aside from her breathing. He looked at the time, it was evening time. Sei started to monitor her vitals, casting a Green light on her. Breathing was in check, bloodrate was in check and her brainwaves we're good. He cut the scan and closed his eye.

Gabe felt as if she had woken up, but she didn't. It was like a lucid dream and Her skin felt staticky. Sei had woken up to see Gabe sitting upright, staring into the darkness. Only the cast of his green optic and the Monitor's "Signal down" lit the room. She held her arm and started to mumble something incoherent.

"The book said not to wake her. Just follow her." He pondered, floating up and scaning room. No objects on the ground to trip her. No sharp object to grab and hurt herself with. She stood up and turned to look at Sei. He knew she wouldn't notice him. She turned back and glanced at the door and began to saunter towards it. A few clicks and it was open.

"No shoes. Great. " He sighed and followed. She was fortunate that it was night out, not too many people to bother her. They tend to guide her but some push her or lead her to dangerous places. She continued on, stumbling and grabbing the railings. Going down a few stairs and wandering through the tower halls.

Shaxx was finishing off a few things with arcite. Paperwork and clearing off zones for tomorrow's crucible matches. Once he finished, he shut down the area and was off. His ghost flew at his side and took the data pad out of Shaxx's grip.

"C'mon Gabe, wake up. It's been more than 5 minutes, these Obsolete books. " He expressed, annoyed. He took a glance over and heard someone walking down the stairs. The footsteps were heavy and slow. He tried to focus was it was too dark. Gabe stopped in her tracks and began mumbling again.

As Shaxx walked through, Sei felt uneasy. Could this person help or hurt her. The steps got closer and louder.

Shaxx looked to see a small figure standing, holding her hand up towards her face. Arc travelled through her hand, her eyes Ebbed a soft blue.

"Who's there?" Shaxx spoke through the darkness. His ghost cast some light and saw Gabe. Sei felt a huge wave of relief.

"She's sleepwalking. Don't wake her please." Sei stated. He floated closer to her. " From what I read, that's not good."

"Don't wake her?" He tilted his head in confusion , "What book did you read that from?"

" A medical book and some searches. It's happened 4 times this month." Sei sighed.

"...who? " Gabe Murmured. She stopped to focus. She was groggy and cold. Only had a pair of sweatpants on and a tank top. The cold are blew through the tower and she shivered. Shaxx looked down at her.

"It's only me. I'm going to help you get to your dorm Gabriella. " He spoke clearly to make sure she understood.

She recognized his voice and felt safe. It's usually someone she doesn't know. Or she'd have to shoo away the ones who bothered her while she was waking up from that state. She let out a breathy laugh.

"Thank you Shaxx but you don't have to. I'm awake now." She turned to her ghost to hide her expression. She felt embarrassed and hated the feeling of being helpless and not in control.

"I wouldn't feel okay just leaving you here. Won't be good for my conscience." His voice was soft. He tilted his head towards her.

"Are you okay Gabriella?"

"I'm fine. Just cold." He heard the defensiveness I her voice and crossed his arms.

"We've been friends for how long now? I know when something is up, but i'm not going to pry. I just want you get home and be safe. I care about you Y'know?"

The sound of his voice only eased her. After Cayde's passing, she and Shaxx would talk about anything and everything. For her sake, to keep her sane. Onyx and Luxe we're busy with their own troubles. She'd hate it if she clouded them with her troubles. But somehow it felt okay with Shaxx.

"Bad sleeping patterned due to the long missions I've been assigned to. It only makes these sleepwalking adventure more frequent. I'm stressed Shaxx. Very stressed. With all that's going on I feel like sleep isn't necessary."

He took In the frustration in her statement.

"I'd like to be home more. But I also don't want to feel like I'm doing nothing. And that right there is what's stressing me out." She walked back up the stairs, Shaxx behind listening.

"Then take a break. You can't do everything but you can do what you can do. " Shaxx put a hand on her back, she leaned into it. It was warm and assuring. He knew she was cold and so he quicken his pace and pulled her closer.

"Thank you Shaxx." She softly smiled. "Can we talk tomorrow? " She held the handle to her door.

"Yes. I'll be here to see you tomorrow night. Goodnight Gabe." He turned.

She heard the smile in his voice. As she entered, The warmth of her room enveloped her. Just like him. She planned to sleep in hopefully, give some of her work to Bishop. "He wouldn't mind it." She thought.

She walked into her room and onto her bed, covering herself with the fleece. Now she'd hope for some actual sleep, and maybe a warm hand on her back again.
