Children are the most enthusiastic as they have holiday from school, they love playing out, bursting crackers, eating sweets, lighting lamps, drawing rangoli. Three things to bring out the best this Deepawali with your child. ✨ 🎆Use more of DO'S than DONT'S. Tell them what they SHOULD DO rather than telling them what they SHOULD NOT DO. *Keep it positive. *Direct them what they should do. Instructions should be short and clear. Tell them in advance what do you expect. Eg. Wear your shoes and go out while you play outside. Don't nag/ argue with your child while he is already ready and excited to something. Also give reason why he is not going out without shoes. ✨ 🎆INVOLVE: Involve them in whatever you do. With toddler around it's difficult for him to not spoil the rangoli. If he/ she like painting. Do some dabbing on paper and decorate that and use it as your rangoli. Use flowers, rice paste mixed with food colours. Let a preschooler help you lit Diya in the house. Give them candle to lit atleast 1 diya while you are present around. If you give one yourself, the child feels better and has satisfied his curiosity and eagerness. Create some cards along with the child and give them to friends, family who visits you or your neighbors. ✨ 🎆ENLIGHTEN :Celebrating these festivals we are only passing our tradition to gen next. Children are so VIBRANT and each one of them has a spark within. Lets Enlighten them, as parents let's give them the best experiences to grow. Recently we tried this age appropriate busy bag from @mmindgym and my hyperactive toddler who never want to look beyond books or vehicles, enjoyed it thoroughly. . There were a set of 4 engaging activities which came in a cute drawstring bag. SWIPE to see more pictures. The activities are very simple to perform, so no need to assemble or cut, draw, paste or anything from your side. Everything required will come in a small pouch which you can easily keep in your diaper bag and take along during travelling. . The activities are fun and can be broken into multiple ways of learning keeping toddlers engaged while learning interesting concepts. * COLOUR CANDIES is a great way to learn colour, build fine motor skills with inserting same colour ice cream stick in the felt pouch. They also have a different type of face on each which is brilliant to start a conversation based learning. We also tried making them finger puppets and talked about emotions. * GO FISHING- Another interesting activity to improve hand eye coordination by picking fishes used magnetic fishing rod. * SIP UP& DRY- This activity has cute little t-shirts to be dried using pegs and some colorful way to learn shapes- you can use it to sort basis colour, basis shapes and sip them using a curly straw. A good one for improving pincer grasp. * COLOUR MATCH & MEMORY- This one is our latest favorite which comes with small cards, a big dice and a box to drop the cards. It has a basic objection to help improve visual memory and can be modified to various forms of learning like matching colors with dice, learning objects on the cards.
