I’ve been pretty inactive recently on Tumblr (posting-wise, at least) for a couple of reasons. a) i’m significantly more active on instagram right now, find me at madeleine.c.b and b) I’ve barely drawn anything in about 2 weeks!

I got severely bitten with the embroidery bug while making a costume (I was Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer for a stolen art-themed party and wanted to embroider eyes on my cape but didn’t actually end up doing it). Since then, I’ve basically been diving face-first into learning embroidery. I feel like I need a good technical base before I try anything creative, so I haven’t posted too much (you can see a bit on Instagram, though).

If anyone is interested in learning embroidery, I highly recommend Mary Corbet’s web site https://www.needlenthread.com/. She is incredible and there’s so much knowledge there, for free!
