  So Gareki wasn’t actually sure if he was the target of the other’s gaze, and he was actually giving it his all to not say anything, but this was a case where he was dealing with one of the things that ticked him off the most. Maybe it was ridiculous to despise staring to such a degree that he had to pipe up so sharply, but he had already had about enough of the day. There was no harm in making it that much worse, apparently.

  unless i met him on a very, very good day for him, probably not? although i relate to him in some ways, he’d be a bit too much of a jerk for my tastes and i definitely wouldn’t like someone who goes around punching and kicking at his friends. i’m really not sure if i’d hate all of him or just half of him. 

why did you begin RPing?

  no idea! i started rping before i even knew what rping was. embarrassingly, me and my cousins would pretend to be our neopets and have them interact with each other and we just had fun with it? and i guess that carried over to me having fun writing for tons of other characters in the future.

  It’s a sharp, sudden command that comes from seemingly nobody, or at least, Gareki’s hoping so. From where he’s crouched low in the alley, concealed by the shadows of stacked boxes and peeking from them toward a street light’s harsh illumination, he can see the other perfectly -- which pisses him off. With what he intends on doing, he needs it to be as quiet, still and desolate as possible.

  Normally when he jumped off of roofs, Gareki didn’t expect to land near anybody, and so he had basically stopped bothering to look. In that aspect, this night was just the same, but as far as landing with company, went... Well, it would be more appropriate to say he almost landed on company. 

  For a moment, Gareki simply stares at who was almost his victim, allowing his breath to catch up and the sharp pain in his legs to ease. Finally, he thinks over what to say in this scenario before stating simply and quietly, “You almost got crushed.”

the character’s emotional state most of the time

  thoughtful? that probably barely counts as an emotional state but he spends a lot of time pondering over his goals or what he should do next. it’s not that he’s constantly planning out his whole life, though. he’s just always wanting to better himself and be of use to others and for him, that requires almost nonstop thinking.

  i guess with that said, specifically he’s both calm and frustrated very often. for the latter, there’s a lot he can’t do and for the former, it just puts him at peace to relax and not really do anything.

what time the character enjoys sleep or being awake

  he loves to take cat naps right before the evening and he really prefers sleeping at night, but sometimes he has a hard time doing so. though most probably wouldn’t think so, he actually likes the daytime! the night just reminds him of everything he hates, since most of the shit that went down in his life happened at night.

  No money meant no food, and no food of course meant the obvious: hunger.

  This wasn’t a new situation he found himself in -- far from it, actually -- but that did nothing to stifle his bitterness and frustration. He had gone months and months without having to deal with this, and he naively believed he’d never have to experience it again -- not this way, at least.

  The thought of resorting to his old, violent thievery made his stomach twist in disgust, but to say he wasn’t considering it... He would be lying. For now, however, he took no action, and instead considered alternatives. There were enough pedestrians around so certainly he could request help from one, and he looked pathetic enough sitting on the sidewalk. Someone would definitely at least feel enough pity to help him, but that only served to make him angrier. He didn’t want sympathy, and he didn’t want help either. 

  How useless. 

  He sighed and tilted his head back, hands resting on his stomach just as a low but very audible growl sounded from within it. Some passersby cast glances his way, which he responded to with glares that hopefully veiled his embarrassment. Really, this was just unnecessary salt to his wounds.

  Although he’s well aware he should question this, he’s so stunned by it he almost wants to cry more than anything. Almost, considering he isn’t much of a crier, but never has he received something so large and expensive -- plus, it’s a gun to boot. But that’s exactly what brings him to shake his head and scold himself. It’s not a gift at all; surely, this guy’s just showing off. A shame, since he would definitely care for the rifle as one would a child.
