AU RAMBLING

Two Faces Alastor

Small Info: Two Faces is a Hazbin AU that mostly focuses on Charlastor, but I’m planning to expand it into a bigger AU for the whole Hazbin Hotel universe

The name "Two Faces" focused on Charlie and Alastor having two very different personas, not as in they’re different people, but more like distinct sides of themselves (that’s why I call it persona instead of personality)

But don’t they already kinda have that in canon? Well, in theory, yeah. But in the show, we mostly see how they act as characters. This AU is OOC! It exists purely for my satisfaction because I love big gap-moe dynamics, so I’m making one for my favorite pairing

This AU is basically me taking the hidden sides of their personalities or popular fan theories and putting those aspects front and center. So honestly, while it’s technically OOC, it’s not completely disconnected from what majority of the fans speculate about them

Alastor

Alastor here is coward and lazy

In this AU, Alastor still acts the same as his show personality, but that’s just a mask, his Radio Demon persona that he uses so no one bothers him. He can switch between grinning evilly and being a complete mess in a matter of seconds, though switching back to the Radio Demon persona is harder

Alastor here is coward and lazy. In this AU, his personality still looks the same as his canon self, the confident, grinning Radio Demon. But that’s just a mask he uses to keep people from bothering him. His true self is more of a coward, though not as sad as his 2P version

I’d say it’s like canon Alastor with a sprinkle of 2P traits, leaning more toward his canon self but with added laziness. Honestly, he feels more like a lazy kind of guy in this AU.

Two Faces Alastor prefers staying out of trouble and would rather run away than deal with problems. This becomes an issue because he promised Charlie he’d protect the hotel. His cowardly side is hidden from most people, but those at the hotel know about it thanks to his carelessness—like sneaking snacks in the middle of the night

Oh, and snacking is one of his hobbies! Since he’s lazy af, he’s always snacking and loves just sitting around reading or secretly watching TV. Yes, this Alastor, who openly hates technology, actually watches TV—but it’s an old one that’s free from Vox’s influence, so he dares to use it

Still Radio Demon, and in hell for reasons

This goes back again to his other persona. As much as I want to be proud of making him OOC in this AU, he’s the Radio Demon and still a serial killer. The difference is that he never looks happy doing it

Not because he’s kind or anything, but more like, “Augh, this is gonna get me into more trouble 😔.”

He always forgets he has power—like teleportation—or that he can just walk around Hell without anyone messing with him because of the reputation he’s built. Instead, he always hides and blends in with people because he feels more comfortable being himself.

I haven’t talked about his life before death yet, but I can say it’s not far from the popular fanon theories that people always use (since we don’t know his full backstory in canon anyway)

In short, he was still a serial killer

He also doesn’t believe in redemption. As much as he hates Hell, he knows he deserves to be here and just tries to survive through it. I did say before that his pathetic reason for being at the hotel is for protection and because he’s homeless, so he bullshits Charlie and the others with his 'Radio Demon' persona

And as you can see from pictures he always looks nervous mostly around Charlie

Here is my TWST OC at last: Finnegan Lyder! He is based on the iconic Flynn Ryder from Tangled. One day I was just thinking about what movies twst hasn’t pulled from and I began to think that a twisted version of Flynn would fit right in at NRC and it all started from there.

For my first couple pics I wanted to highlight his characteristics as well as personality! The Equestrian Club was a given and he has one of the most hard headed horses at NRC, a stubborn horse named Minimus. Riddle has tried to convince Finn to take on another horse because of their animosity with one another, but Finn is just as hard headed as his horse and refuses to back down from a challenge. Parkour as Finn’s talent just makes sense with those quick getaways that Flynn makes in the movie. Crowley is fed up with Finn parkouring and running around NRC, but Finn couldn’t care less as it lets him avoid being late for class. He frequently parkours through the window into his seat right before the Crewel walks in….much to Crewel’s distaste 🤪

His unique magic, Point of View, was so fun to come up with! I wanted to mesh Tangled with Snow White and having an appearance altering magic made so much sense with how the Evil Queen changes her appearance, and in Tangled Flynn took on the persona of Flynn Ryder to deal with his own shortcomings as Eugene Fitzherbert. His magic might not be powerful, but it is great for sneaking around and finding out information. Vil sends him out to get the dirt on people as well as snoop in the other dorms. I wanted Finn to also serve as a loose representative of something from Snow White, since Epel is the poison apple and Rook is the hunter, so I treat him similarly to the raven who was at the Evil Queen’s side and gathered info for her. People think Rook is creepy with his photos and stalking, but Finn does a lot of people watching himself and takes notes on people’s behaviors and schedules so he can act like them if he takes on their appearance…Pomefiore is full of freaks y’all 😂

There’s so much I could say, but I don’t want this post to get super long so I’ll end it here! I’m going to make another post soon highlighting who he’s close friends with as well as his personality, so look forward to more Finn content soon! 💕

Alvis. Special outfit.

“I am going to get fired.”

That was the predominant thought racing in Alvis’ brain as he looked at the time on his phone in dread, tearing up. He was a star employee, typically there with time to spare till clocking in. Add on top of that his fear of being late, and how he typically walks or takes public transportation, more time is added onto his waiting period for his shift to start. But today was the most peculiar of days, and Alvis isn’t even quite sure he knows how to explain what happened.

It started on the bus. He had been minding his own business, sitting close to the door so he can get off quick. But the seat he always sat in on Tuesdays? There was someone random sitting there, and that should’ve been enough for him to know the whole day was going to go badly when he had to push down his annoyance someone was in his unofficial spot and walk further down. If he believed in such things, that would’ve been a bad omen for sure.

Next, the bus had to be re-routed. It went to an area he was completely unfamiliar with. He never walked that way for himself, and thankfully never had to keep an eye on one of his brothers and go in that area either. Despite the bus drivers apologies, and the bickering of people around him over this, he thought at worst he was just going have to bite down his trepidation, get off at the next stop, and walk the rest of the way towards work. He kept glancing at the time, but even with him having to use Google maps, he knew he should be able to be on time if he got going right away.

The second he stepped off the bus he had started briskly walking towards work. Grimacing internally at any eyes he could feel glancing towards him, he made sure to keep his briefcase close. It really, really should have been that at the worst, barring the expected annoyances of the day should he run into any coworkers in the building on his way to his desk or during lunch.

….Why is he in a maid dress, then?

Alvis’ face was a pink mess as he sniffled. Trying to rein himself in, to not just fully start crying as the panic so badly made him want to do. On the sidewalk wearing just that, clutching his suitcase, and not too far off from work all things considered.

Everything had happened so fast. Him getting ran into by a person, his work outfit ruined by a horrible stain from whatever black substance they were carrying. It left an oily residue on him, and he had promptly blanched then, but had wanted to go about it respectfully despite how it made his skin crawl. He hated unexpected things, and while oil substances are things he can handle when he’s working on pieces of technology, he usually is mentally prepped for it. He had denied their offer of help, but the person kept insisting, stating they own a nearby store. They just wouldn’t leave it alone, and he though he wanted to just continue on his way, he soon found himself getting pulled that way. Skin crawling at the touch, but ready to just accept the help if it meant he could just grab a shirt or something and go. Their words kept drowning him out, though had he known this would be the outcome, he would’ve been more assertive in his need to leave.

More people came over as he was led in, and it was a blur till he was rushed to the bathroom. Shoved inside, and told they had some stain remover. He insisted he can do it himself, or just needed a shirt, but they said they’d come in and get the clothes off him, so he warily stripped and held it and his stained pants out after cracking the door. Stewing in his nerves, but they insisted they could take care of all the stains, about twenty minutes left till his shift starts.

In a way he just cannot fathom… they ruined his shirt. His pants. There was a sharp chemical smell in the air, bleach like but decidedly not just that, that told him they likely had tried. But they wouldn’t show him either, the holes they apparently burned into them. They also didn’t just have normal clothes. He had been so focused on getting in and out, and not tripping over the people who greeted them, he didn’t realize with how this was a…. Special store. One he would never in a million years step into on his own, despite their offer to let him take products that complimented the outfit for free due to this whole mess.

So here he is. On the verge of crying, in the only clothes they had on hand that fit him that kind of covered him up. He’s not about to be arrested for public indecency, walking out in just boxers. Not when he was bashful as is just taking his shirt off. At least the skirt of the maid dress was poofy, covering a good length of his legs, so he didn’t have to worry on that front. Just everything else.

The time was now too close that even if Alvis reached the building wearing his typical clothes for work in the next five minutes he’d still be late between having to get in, going through the building, and getting set up. With a dry hiccup, he followed through with his anxiety and duty bound nature. He may be fired but he still had to let his boss know that he had tried to come to work. That he didn’t just skip— he had to call his boss.

Mind readers canonically have a difficult time with Erick Cartel (purple man over there) because he is 90% impulse, his thoughts are fast and erratic and not fully formed and generally anyone that tries to take a look at it wants to punch him three times more. A skilled telepath could obviously get whatever they want from him, but more average-level mind readers may struggle at first.
