I immediately jumped into editing the first thing that popped into my head when I read this part.

Making his face move wasn't part of the initial plan, but I figured I'd include it for the Chev fans because I wanted to study how to convey specific sounds with limited mouth shapes and add emphasis to him saying "easily." Here are some still frames of the expressions I combined.

Short Blip of My Thoughts on Chevalier's Route

He's got such a satisfying character arc. The small-but-grand moments of him pausing and asking Belle if she's comfortable disintegrate my heart.

These are very likely my two favourite Chevalier screenshots ever.

And to think high school me had assumed he'd be boring and didn't bother paying attention to him! I was no better than him saying he won't give time to those he doesn't deem valuable to him. I am so terribly sorry.

Just imagine my blank stare slowly turning into a guilty grimace the longer I read and realised I share(d) quite a few of his behaviours.

Short Story of How I Chose My Eyeglasses

I didn't pick these at first because they're the thickest frames I've ever had, but I found them still on display a week later and decided that was the sign for me to get them. I was also inspired by Ace Dad Advice's purple ones, so how could I not?

It turned out they were the last in a discontinued design. I've had them for maybe two years now and wasn't ready to let go, so I went over two weeks without being able to see in HD so I could send them off to get the prescriptions replaced instead of choosing new frames.

They're just so lovely with the gentle green and purple, and now I have a butterfly chain with my bestie's favourite colours! AGH!

Gonna start quoting this when Selective Mutism relapses.

The book is Wren Martin Ruins It All by Amanda DeWitt. Wren's super curmudgeonly and I don't think I'd get along with him 'cause he reminds me of myself as a kid, but I love that his inner monologue is so loud and not sugarcoated.

This book definitely isn't for everyone and uses a lot of eloquently bitter phrasing, but I'm enjoying it 'cause it feels somewhat like how my brain structures my thoughts. I feel very calm and at home. It's also great that the ace community is getting more representation for guys.
