Transphobia (transmisogny + transandrophobia + literally any bigotry that gnc people experience) is all based on the same patriarchal, bioessentialist, conservative view points that punishes anyone who deviates from "the norm".

Remember when the argument for feminism was "it benefits everyone, even men suffer under misogyny/the patriarchy"? That didn't go away, it still exists, and it's still true. The conservative viewpoint that builds the misogyny engraved into the American government/culture feeds into the queerphobia and transphobia that we all suffer from.

Almost every single argument slung against transfems and transmascs on this hellsite almost all boil down to internalized misogyny.

Transfems are punished because they are seen as violent men trying to hurt the poor, defenseless women, as well as weak men who should be oppressed because feminity and being a woman is inherently weak and wrong.

Transmacs are punished because they are seen as "betraying" womanhood, or as stupid, manic women trying to escape their place in the world and should be put back in their place.

Transphobia comes from queerphobia. Queerphobia comes from misogyny. Misogyny comes from the right wingers who are trying to put Trump into office (which is also all wrapped up with white supremacy, but I'm not qualified to talk on that).

Your fellow trans person on tumblr isn't oppressing you. They're just being a dick and you should block the.

If you're an American over 18, maybe stop fighting your fellow trans people over what language they use and make sure yours registered to vote.
