Do you have what is sometimes called an 'Attic Stash' off models?
Well it's the garage for me, but yes I do have a huge pile of shame.

How do you display all of these, it seems as though the collection is so large you might be running out of space. Just found your YouTube channel and have been enjoying the 1:2500 7 Enterprise Set build, as well as the painting section on the Voyager model. Beautiful, thoughtful consideration of so many small details. It's a real pleasure to watch!
Thank you! Yes, lack of space is one of my biggest problems! I've sold and given away a few builds over the years, and have a few boxed away. My favourite builds are all on display, mostly the Star Trek ships, along with a lot of prebuilt models.

Hello! I've just completed assembly of Bandai's perfect grade millenium falcon. So far I have used only acrylic paint and clear finishes, mostly Vallejo, and have sprayed anything on to protect the paint I used for the colored panels. (Like you, i chose to paint and chip them rather than use the decals.) I thought I'd spray a coat of Tamiya TS-13 on the whole ship now, before applying the hundred plus tiny decals and weathering, but I've started to read about people having issues with lacquer over acrylics. I think that's what you did, but I want to double check---it would break my heart to ruin many hours of work and what has so far turned out to be a good looking ship! Thanks!

Hi there! I’ve used TS-13 on a lot of models painted with Vallejo acrylics and it’s turned out great most of the time. I say most because there have been times where I’ve sprayed TS-13 on too thick or in damp conditions and it has ruined the texture a bit. Make sure the acrylic paint has been left to dry a day or two, and then spray on TS-13 in multiple light coats. You shouldn’t need a thick layer to apply decals and weathering. Also avoid spraying it when it’s raining or humid. I’ve started to move away from the spray can clear coats, as they can be a bit finicky as I’ve described (also getting expensive). I’ve been using the Vallejo clear acrylics from an airbrush on my last few builds. They take far longer to dry, but they’re a bit more predictable. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick reply---I think it was the middle of the night for you when I sent the question! I have tried thinning the V surface primer with a 70-30 solution of flow improver and airbrush thinner and still get dry tip. I've been afraid to make it too thin. How far do you think I can go?
You'll just have to to a bit of trial and error I think! The humidity of your room could also be a factor. You could also try using some acrylic retarder.

I've noticed that although you use Vallejo Model Air exclusively for color in your millennium falcon build series, you don't use their surface primer, at least i don't think you do. I'm having trouble with it even after buying a .5 nozzle and needle for my Grex instead of the .3 it came with. Grateful for any suggestions!
I have been using Vallejo Surface Primer a lot more recently. I find it does come out a bit thicker than usual but my airbrush can usually handle it. You could try thinning it a little bit with Airbrush Flow Improver, or a bit of water.

Hi this is more of a request. I am on my 4th kit of the 1:1400 Enterprise D, this after having one as a child and recently came back to model making a couple of years ago to complete a Nebula conversion of this and completing again with different registries and after seeing your great work on the Voyager and Enterprise C kit I would love to see your take on this one.
I did build that particular kit a few times back in the 90s, I even attempted a Nebula conversion, it certainly would be good to have another go if I could ever find one!
