one reason I've never been scandalized or even shocked by the recent wave of women's erotica becoming strange and nichely fetishistic is because like. yeah. developing hyper specific and taboo fetish is just what happens when you live in a household or society where your sexuality is forcibly repressed either due to lack of proper sex ed, to make yourself palatable, to avoid social ostracization, or all three. like, most of the time, people I've met who have experienced these things, myself included, are into taboo, boundary pushing kink/fetish, or even relatively tame but very weird things. in our seemingly increasingly misogynistic society that evidently never evolved beyond women being forced to be meek housewives, it is almost inevitable that they seek out their own sexual freedom in ways that appear strange to others. bodice rippers have been a genre of erotic fiction for decades, and that's just that particular subgenre. erotica made by and/or for women is NOT new. it only seems to be getting weirder because society has been slowly inching towards being more accepting of sex and therefore what counts as "boundary pushing" these days is different to what it was in the 50s or 70s or even 80s. this is why I have such deep disdain for people who talk about the "plague of booktok" or clutch their pearls in some other way over erotica made for women. because like, if you took one second to examine psychology or even just the society we live in, this would not feel like some massive world ending thing. it would not feel like society is ripping itself apart at the seams if you cared about anything more than dunking on women for being horny. who fucking cares man

listen I know these people mean well, but does anyone else deeply hate this trend where a bigot accidentally correctly genders a trans person and every single comment is some shade of "heh... and I thought they could always tell" or "he's so misogynistic he forgot to be transphobic" or something. like not only are you immediately putting the trans person at risk, but also, what is the joke even about? that this guy isn't bigoted enough? what are you gaining or helping by pointing out that he missed an opportunity to be more bigoted?
like, I understand that isn't the intent of the people making these comments, hence why I've elected to censor their names. I know that their humor is directed at the irony of someone like tate being unintentionally "woke" and not the fact that he "forgot" to be transphobic. but at the same time, if he really was unaware that natalie was trans, you realize you're only giving him more ammunition, right? and if not for him, for his audience, who is almost definitely scanning the quotes of all of his tweets to defend him? like, all you're functionally doing is outing someone to people who otherwise may not have even realized it. and yes, I know natalie is publicly out, the fact that she's trans is public knowledge, I know. but neither tate nor his audience can be assumed to have already known that, and while it would only take a small bit of research to find it out, a lot of them likely wouldn't have even thought to do it had everyone not been making a huge deal out of it.
I dunno. I could be making a big deal out of nothing here. but this is a trend that's been going on for a long time now and I'm really, really tired of it.

hey. you can contribute meaningfully to a post made up of images in a way that doesn't misuse image ID'ing. you can accurately transcribe an image for the visually impaired and all screen reader users without adding your snarky commentary to said transcription. the fact that you find the OP of a pictured post to be "some cunt" is not relevant to transcribing the image. the legitimacy of israel, while a worthwhile and necessary conversation especially right now, is not relevant when you're transcribing an image featuring an israel flag. these are both real examples I've just seen TODAY of people misusing image transcription to make commentary on the post. in both cases I actually agreed with the opinions of the people writing those transcriptions, but my point is that the transcription of an image is meant to be wholly objective descriptions of the images themselves. PLEASE make your commentary. I'm not saying you shouldn't. but don't hijack a tool primarily for disabled people to do it. describe the image in clear, objective terms, THEN do your aside where you make your comments. come on.

people should be allowed to have gender affirming surgeries. people should be allowed to have cosmetic surgeries. people should be allowed to have body mods. people should be allowed to do drugs, even the scary ones you don't like. people should be allowed to cut or otherwise hurt themselves. people should be allowed to kill themselves. people should be allowed to deny treatment that has been deemed necessary for their conditions. people should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies forever.
these are the BASIC and BARE MINIMUM requirements of bodily autonomy. when you talk about bodily autonomy in terms of gender affirming care and neglect the rest of the conversation, you aren't actually arguing for full bodily autonomy.
arguing for bodily autonomy does not mean excusing the actions of people directly influenced by their choices, but instead acknowledges that barring an action does nothing to prevent it happening, and only serves to tell people that they will be punished if caught.
‼️ do not reblog this post if you disagree with any part of it. if I see "#reminder #except for [x]" I'm just gonna block you.

I haven't posted here in a while because I've tried to stray from discourse for the sake of my health lately, but I really just need to talk about my hatred for the attitude that's been put forth re: the newly budding autoandrophile / forcemasc kink community on here.
it's absolutely ridiculous how many times I've seen people making fun of or treating this kink as though it's something unhealthy or dangerous - an attitude which conveniently does not carry over in regards to forcefem content. it's really just a microcosm of how a lot of other queer people view masculinity and ESPECIALLY trans masculinity as something frivolous and worthy of mockery. People saying that the kink and its community is "weird" and "dumb," which again, I have to note, is not something so uniformly believed about forcefem kinks!
This isnt me saying you can't dislike or be made uncomfortable by a kink. And before my words end up twisted, I am also not blaming transfems for any of this - my mention of forcefem and its wider reception from the queer community is only as a reference point as it relates to forcemasc. My issue is that once again, the queer community has seemingly found a socially acceptable way to mock trans masculinity once again, and as a trans guy it is really not fucking subtle what you guys are doing when you say some of the shit that gets said. The mockery and satirical fake posts, the way that every single time we find a new way to experience masculinity we just happen to be laughed at for it in a way that isn't TECHNICALLY transphobia so we can't actually be mad about it. I realize that kink is not above satire but really it feels fucking targeted when we already don't get taken seriously in literally any of our other endeavors.
a kink community on tumblr is not the end all be all of the transmasc community nor do I really think it has grave importance offline, sure, whatever, I must make a million disclaimers lest I be yet again branded as an overdramatic woman by people who are meant to be my peers. whatever. I really just wish that for once, for ONCE, we could have ONE thing that people actually respected enough for it not to be such a casual target of humor.

the thing that gets me as a transmasc whos white (though my ethnicity being seen as such is a recent-ish development) about people complaining that transmisandry isnt real is like... i mean it's stupid in the first place because they're ignoring the TRANS part of transmisandry but also it just completely ignores intersectionality and nonwhite queer people. its specifically white masculinity thats privileged. its why you get native american boys having their hair forcibly cut off at school, and black masculinity being seen as dangerous and frightening, and all those other things that come along with racism. and i just kinda lose my mind a bit at how many people want to talk about queer issues and sexism online but then just straight up ignore everything nonwhite. and we all know why that is but its just so exhausting. i wish people would stop seeing oppression as a points system and as the systematic issue it actually is. and i wish people would open their eyes and see that cisheterosexism affects nonwhite people too. its not queer liberation without all of us included. i want to punt people sometimes, it feels like everyone online learned of being LGBT but then just incorporated it into the same cishet (and white) worldview instead of using the knowledge of our deviation to unpack that worldview.
this!!! all of this, 100%

The tma/tme dichotomy is just a progressive way do to bioessentialism and legitimize the idea that afab privilege is real. That's why i think that baeddels are more like MRAs than radfems. Female privilege is a central idea in mra ideology whereas radical feminism doesn't recognize it at all
honestly, yeah, this is a comparison I'd never considered. but it makes sense. it's another reason I very much dislike the distinction, among many other reasons.

if you can understand that a pre-E/no-E transfem doesn't have male privilege on the basis of inherently defying patriarchal manhood by being trans, then it should make perfect sense that a post-T transmasc also doesn't have male privilege on the basis of inherently defying patriarchal manhood by being trans

I will not sleep on wet hair, wet hair is the curl killer, wet hair is the little death that brings total frizz, I will face my wet hair, I will permit it to dry over me and through me, and when it has gone past I shall turn the inner eye to see it's path, where the wet hair has gone there will be nothing, only I remain

could you imagine being a man, a sis gender man, who is really into sounding other men. It's just the only way for you to get off really. But one day you meet a man that you really like, and you just connect with him on a whole other level. And you guys finally get to the point where not only are you in the bedroom with each other, but you're starting to get more open with each other too. About all the things like. The only issue is, is that this man is transgender. He does not have a penis he has never pursued any sort of bottom surgery. So he still has the whole set, the labia menorah menorah the majora Little China adequate Torres. And he also has a urethra. Now he's willing to indulge in your special weird little thing. You're sounding. And you guys finally get to the bedroom and you have your little sounding pole or whatever it is they use. But you realize some thing very quickly. Do you know where the clitorises you know where the clitoris is, but where… Is the urethra? Riddle me this Batman
i've tried answering this ask in three different ways and each time it deleted whatever i added. labia menorah menorah the majora Little China adequate Torres. Every time i try to find a new angle to work on this answer with i read another sentence that makes me wince so hard i forget 3/7ths of the english language. labia menorah menorah the majora Little China adequate Torres. i literally am trying to think of any kind of response but verbally i keep repeating it. "labia menorah menorah the majora Little China adequate Torres." it's like a spell. it's fucking addicting. it's the only way i know a human being sent it because that was for fucking sure speech to text happening right there for a single sentence. labia menorah menorah the majora Little China adequate Torres.
