Booting up sims 2 after such a long time was like meeting a long lost friend 🥹 dove back into playing it like a fish takes to water, and then got slapped violently awake when I entered build mode and forgot how unforgiving it was when you realize your entire house needs to be moved one tile to the left.

making some friends, making some moolah, emilie's doing quite well given that she was homeless about 3 posts ago.

figure i'd try and get the smog eater vacuum thingy (despite not being able to earn any money from the job) so she can actually use her dumpster dive finds!

she's made enough from the quill fruit to put up a small greenhouse so she can sell it all year round. it's the only thing that's paying the bills!

she's got a decent looking shack tiny home now! (not an actual tiny home because you know hardcore mode and all) finding that one quill fruit and selling all those candles on Plopsy really has helped her income!

the community lot turned into a maker lot (thank the heavens) so it was time to recycle a bunch of bits and start fabricating! Santa was also quite generous and gave us a grill so we can finally have hot foods. All in all Emilie seemed to have a good holiday season finishing with counting down to new years at the local bar.

finally generating some sort of income! I decided to play an extreme version where I can't just sell items using the inventory, has to be sold with the table which makes it suuuper difficult to generate any sort of meaningful income.

got lucky with a second refrigerator roll (the red one refused to repair itself after a rainstorm for whatever reason) and a crappy double bed

then of course she gets sick because it's freezing crap cold and she's been sleeping outside in the rain. right before I scavenged enough money for a 3x3, I almost lost her to another lightning strike.

same concept as the single door before, got rid of all the annoying nails and recoloured it in the same colours as the basic rounded door previously done.
