Okay, so my little sister was hand selected to go to a volleyball showcase in Hawaii.

Which is a really big deal, because we live on a Indian Reservation and this is the first time we had a student from our school be selected!!! Like, you guys don’t even know how proud my whole community is!

 But, we have a dilemma!

We are broke af, just a bunch of hud rats. 

 But she is selling T-Shirts, all she needs to sell is 150 to be able to go. 

 It’s such a rare opportunity for one of our students from our little reservation in Washington to be able to go to something like this . 

 Any donation is a big help!!!

Also check out my commissions if you don’t want a T-Shirt! All profits will go to my sister for her trip!!!

Love the name Child of Mercury, since he is a god who protects travelers, and your jewelry is made to protect people. Do you have a shop set up yet? This sounds like the perfect gift for my girlfriend who is always anxious about presenting as her gender identity in public. She also works as an uber driver and has to go to some bad neighborhoods. Having something like this would make her feel so much better!!!

Thank you for your response :)There are many analogues between Mercury and trans/ non binary people (I seriously need to refresh my memory, it's been a long time since I thought about this stuff and if something isn't immediately being used, it's gets hella rusty) but yeah, something like what I'm offering might hue a help and Id love to be a part of that!I'm currently trying to rework my facebook page into something a little more respectable and don't have a website yet, instead opting to use tumblr so people can see my process as a part of the work as well.Hopefully I'll be nearing completion of my workshop very soon but the reality of it is that I might not be up and running till the new year, not factoring in designing & making time of the work! Guys please, I am super desperate. We’ve been without a car for about three weeks now and have exhausted all of our possibilities. We rented a car for a week but we do not have the money to continue doing so and the bus system around here is so wonky that it will only take Beauty a portion of the way to work so that is out as well. Our credit is complete shit so we cannot get a loan and we’re living paycheck to paycheck as it is; we don’t have enough income to garner any savings. Beauty is working fifty or so hours a week but things are still tight and I am waiting on a disability hearing so I am unable to work even an extremely part time job. We’re currently sharing my parents car but they live about ten miles away which means I drive fifty to sixty miles a day just taking my mom and Beauty back and forth to work and between the two apartments. This is obviously not a viable long term solution especially since the longer it goes on the more my father is going to harass me.

Any help is greatly appreciated and if you can’t donate please signal boost.

My name is Maria Voorhees. I’m a trans woman, an electrical engineering student, and am constantly struggling to keep myself financially afloat. Last week I got a message from my school, Wayne State University, that told me I owe $500 in tuition that wasn’t covered by my financial aid. I am employed, but my job is part time for minimum wage, and even if I didn’t have any non-educational expenses (like the medical costs associated with transitioning, or keeping my car running), I would not be able to come up with this money in time. This a big problem for me because it prevents me from being able to register for classes in the winter semester. It’s especially urgent because one of my largest scholarships is contingent on me taking a full time course load in every Fall and Winter semester. I need the money by December 15th to avoid being charged a late fee, but the sooner I can pay my outstanding tuition the sooner I can register for my classes, and math classes that I need to take fill up quickly. I do have a few things that I can sell in the short term, including an old laptop and my smartphone, but that will net me maybe $100 if I’m lucky. Hey everyone.  I am loathe to do this and I’ve been trying to find any work I can get, but I’m going to need some help.  I’m waiting to hear back from a couple people but all of my employment prospects are going to require relocation.

I’ve made it a point to lend my voice and signal boost (and donate to) everyone that I’ve been able to since I’ve had this blog.  My pride is very much wounded to be in a situation where I have to ask for help, but I definitely need help right now.

Those of you that know me should also know that as soon as I’m back on my feet I’ll be doing what I can to help everyone that I can.  Every little bit helps, and I absolutely mean that.

New studio underway! New work on the horizon! Things are happening, watch this space!

My room/ studio Is gonna look so cool! Decided to paint the whole thing monochrome. I’m so excited!

It’s been a lot of work though and so much dust has gathered in the past 4 years that it’s pretty heavy going but I’m getting there. I never noticed that I basically hadn’t gotten rid of anything in the 19 years I lived in there because I am such a sentimental sap; but now it’s out with the old teenage boy and in with the new adult woman. I think this is a significant and important part of my transition.

I think I’m going to going to get a new tattoo to commemorate the past chapter and the start of the new one, the start of my new life. I’ve got loads of ideas but I think it would be fun to get a moogle, since they’re the ‘save points’ (haha, remember those) in FFIX, my favourite one. Maybe I should go for something more grown up or whatever but I looooove theeemmmm! Plus they’re cute as hell.

Also I’m a really good painter decorator so if anyone in Central Scotland wants some work done, give me a shout! haha

Anyway, enough of this rambling, I’ve got work to do!
