James. It hurts to think his name. “Hi James.” and it burns my throat to say it.

“Moony! Get the fuck up! We are in a club, you cannot just sit here the entire time... Not while Britney is playing.” James teases. Remus, always quick with a comeback, replies “Britney? Really James, God, you are so fucking gay it’s really a wonder how anyone thinks your straight.” 

“When I said I wanted to go to SkyZone you said it was gross and disgusting and a covid infested hell” James whined  

James pouts, because of course he does, and it takes so much for Regulus not to kiss his stupid fucking face right then and there.

I won’t ask you to stop calling me that nickname again; I am not your anything, let alone your ‘Reggie’ and you are not mine, I will not feed your delusions, James Potter.

I will always relate to the female experience, part of me resents the idea of that so much, and the other part is so grateful that I got to experience it. I know I’m not a woman and since coming to terms with my gender I’ve never doubted that, but despite my dysphoria and pain and struggle, I’ve always found womanhood so beautiful. There will always be a little girl right next to the little boy in my heart, and they’ll talk and get along and learn from each other, and nothing in the world could make me hate the girl I lived as.
