It’s okay if you like them as their canon gender too. I think it’s okay if you read the books and watch the movies, but maybe try to buy the book second hand if you don’t own them already (plus it’s usually cheaper). I do think we shouldn’t watch the show bc like I’ve said before, it’s just a cash grab and we already have the movies which were great. It’s about being conscious to a reasonable extent about the content you consume and trying to do your best. (Kinda like in the show The Good Place)
Sending messages to people telling them to kill themselves or anything of the sort is never okay. We can’t have any safe spaces online if those comments are normalized. I’m sorry that was said to you.
If you are a marauders fan/ you support or are in the queer community then do Not watch the upcoming Harry Potter show! Do not support it! Do not interact with posts in support of it! We do not need anymore content from jkr! Buy the books second hand! Don’t buy official merch! Stop giving your money to her! Stop being transphobic!
Edit: I have a reply to those mentioning to pirate the show. (Hint: Don’t)

yo…. when jet breaks in the tea shop and accuses zuko and iroh of beinh firebenders….
do you think any of the patrons looked at zukos scarred face - obviously done by a firebender - and immediately think jet was an asshole? like
jet: hes a firebender!!!!
patrons, thinking about the backstory they concocted for zuko and iroh where their home was invaded by firebenders and they barely survived with their lifes so they could come and have a peaceful life selling tea in a city the war doesnt touch:

I’m in too deep, been here over 2 years and my obsession is only getting worse, in a way that’s unlike my other fandoms. There’s no other fandom that lives solely on head canons. And there are so many great people here who create amazing content (fics, art, edits, etc) that I Love. My therapist would love me to leave but I just started reading Pathological People Pleaser.
We can enjoy this content in ways that don’t support jkr. Plus, we only make the fandom a safe space for transgender people by actively choosing to. If everyone who is trans or supports the community leaves then only transphobic people will be left. So stay (unless it’s damaging to your mental health ofc), spread love and respect, and head canon Sirius as gender fluid or Lily as nonbinary or whoever as whatever gender you want.
Stop being transphobic!

regulus who once got attacked by a dog when he was a kid and has been pretty scared of them ever since.
and sirius, seeing his animagus form for the first time and crying because he is going to scare his little brother.
just the idea of regulus always seeing this black dog somewhere around him, feeling his breath catch a bit on his throat and his hands tremble. but the dog always stays away, never one to get close, or make a noise. sometimes he even leaves with his tail between his legs.
it's such a tragedy, how bad sirius wants to get closer to his brother, and knowing he will never be allowed.

nvm there’s still a long way to go. now that I’m not super depressed I have to “heal my inner child” and she’s always crying in that bed
had a chill session with my therapist, didn’t discuss anything traumatic, i think i’m starting to win at therapy because we didn’t need to discuss that stuff

you are allowed to be proud of the victories that no one else can see. like showering without completely hating your body, not breaking into tears at the thought of the future, talking yourself out of a dark mindset, calming yourself down in public, or like waking up every single day and choosing life. be proud of the progress no matter if it is visible for others or not. you’re doing great, keep up the good work!

🧵 THREAD: This #PrideMonth, don’t forget that the fight for queer liberation didn’t start or end with marriage equality.
💪✨ We need to keep fighting for our rights.
Here’s are a few examples:
💋 Before the 2003 Supreme Court ruling in Lawrence v. Texas, same-smex smexual activity was illegal in fourteen U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. military
👶 Before 2015, LGBTQ+ couples couldn’t adopt in all 50 states. Before the Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, laws varied wildly by state.
🏳️🌈 Before 1973, the American Psychiatric Association listed homosmexuality as a ‘mental illness.’ In December 1973, a vote was successfully held to remove it.
🗳️ Before 1974, there were no openly gay elected officials. That changed with Kathy Kozachenko, who became the first openly gay American elected to public office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
🎖️ Before 2011, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” banned LGBTQ+ people from serving openly in the military.
💍 Before 2015, LGBTQ+ couples couldn’t get married in all 50 states. At the time, laws varied by state, and while many states allowed for civil unions for same-sex couples, it created a separate but equal standard.
💼 Before 2020, employers could legally discriminate against queer and trans employees. It wasn’t until the U.S. Supreme Court held that an employer who fires or otherwise discriminates against an individual simply for being gay or transgender is in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

I just remembered my second Pride, where I made different flag themed daisy chain bracelets/necklaces to hand out. I need folks to understand something:
They were free.
They were fucking free.
They were maybe ¢60 of acrylic yarn each at the most, and the whole ziploc bag of them took 2 hours max.
Three people gave me sad eyes until I took their money.
Someone who was clearly the mom friend of their group made me take a $5 and gave a 10 minute pep talk.
At least four more people insisted on getting change to pay for the, once again, free bracelets.
In spite of all these shenanigans, the absolute best was this one person who I can only describe as, “queer surfer dude who looks like a boyfriend who looks like a girlfriend.” I can remember nothing of the outfit, only the impeccable vibes. I did the same thing I did with everyone else, explaining the bracelets were free, and they nodded along as they took the last 6 strand rainbow bracelet. As soon as they had it on their wrist, they pointed at something over my shoulder and, like a fool, I looked.
Next thing I know, they’re running off cackling, yelling, “YOU’LL NEVER CATCH ME!” and I’m holding a fucking $20. I had to stop at least two people from chasing them, cause they thought the person stole something, and then they tried to give me money cause they thought it was funny seeing me flail over people being Too Nice.
That was the year I got reverse-robbed at Pride. I hope everyone out there is having a good time and, in particular, that queer surfer dude is out there still causing benevolent chaos.

I’m listening to Six of Crows on Audible and I swear that Joost’s chapter on Audible is not the one I read in the book. Am I crazy because I remember him being carried off by a squallor, not monologuing about being in love with Anya? I need to check my books
