She's lost her husband, a close cousin, and her house in this accelerated genocide, and now has to take care of her two young children by herself in a flismy tent on a cold, wet beach. This is definitely true!! I think a big part about why I fell in love with tumblr is the fact that you *can* make short posts; or you could write a whole entire fanfiction and it still fits neatly within the website.

Y'know, whenever I see people say that tumblr is dead or the flurry of notes on substack claiming that society yearns for tumblr, it makes me wonder why so many people even quit using it in the first place? I'm being so deadass when I say this is probably my favourite platform of all time

Yes same! I still liked the ending between Jayce and Viktor, but I do find it ridiculous most people don’t notice that they can be (and lowkey are) polyamorous. I think what bothers me most as well is people behaving like Jayce having a relationship with Mel makes him straight.

It doesn’t matter ‘which one’ he has feelings for or his labels — for a show that allows its characters to just exist as themselves, it’s crazy how many people refuse to see that Jayce can love two people and want to be with both.

Seeing people (granted, a minority) genuinely try to argue that Jayce and Viktor are just friends or 'brothers' is insane to me, and better yet, use Mel/Sky as an excuse as to why they can't be queer or have feelings for one another. It's not to say they didn't hold affection or love for their female LI's, because I have no doubt Jayce did in fact cherish Mel.

However, in a show/society like Arcane that doesn't put constraints on queerness or relationships - whose to say they couldn't be genuine soulmates and create space for their other lovers? Why are we trying to fit Jayce and Viktor's affection for one another into a box, when the quiet and unspoken nature of it all is more romantic than any overt confession?

Jayce can love Mel, but he can also unapologetically want to freak it with his lab partner. Hooray bisexuals!!!
