Goldf.inch this time, either an immature or a non breeding female? Did not know they have solid black wings and tail with white accents. This species overall has such an interesting color combo going on.

Northern waters.nake! This time I also attempted to clean up the skull to include alongside the skin. Cleaning the nasal cavity of s.nake skulls is a nightmare.

Why do you put punctuation in the snake names? Doesn't that make it harder for people to filter out stuff they dont want to see?
Putting in punctuation on the snakes are so that they don't appear in the regular snake tag for unsuspecting people to see. The actual tags are something that people can still use to filter out content they don't want to see.

Two s.nake skins I've prepared have finally been inventoried into the museum's collection and now are available to be loaned out by the education department for public teaching :) I completed a corn s.nake and western f.oxsnake.

My most favorite b.irds to work on are juveniles that are mid-transition to their adult plumage. This male common y.ellowthroat was just starting to grow in his black face mask when he passed from a window strike.

A few close ups of a male Yellow W.arbler before I prepare them as a study skin. Feather eyelashes are always super cool to see.

Animal education at the museum received some new young snakes. This is Benny, a bullsnake, and he has the most saddest weepest eyes I swear.

Some baby common snapping turtles (Chelydra serpentina) I helped cross a road a few years ago. They all still had their egg tooths so must of been freshly hatched.

Part 2 to this previous post. Here's the h.awk stuffed and pinned down to dry at the time. I was requested by the senior director of collections to have the broken wing posed spread (typically both wings are posed closed).
