Hi oomfie! Can you give us some facts about your OCs? Specifically the ones in your latest piece. I'd love to learn about them >:)

Hello! :)

The piece you're referring to is the city, I imagine? The character in the foreground is Flour, one of the main characters of a series I want to make a reality one day (this one drawn by baisol27 on Tumblr/Twitter):

Having a pretty depressing backstory involving abuse, she lost her ear during an attempt on her life, but she managed to escape--her siblings sadly weren't so lucky. But in this verse, death is not the end, people can potentially return as beings called 'Spirits,' that become tied to the still living person they care most about (those are the two shapes you see next to Flour in the piece, the spiritual representation of them being two vaguely canine-shaped blobs of energy)

Coincided with the concept of Spirits is the concept of Light/Dark energies, two major forces in the verse that can do many things to humans--such as causing them to rapidly evolve/devolve/adapt to their surroundings, for the better or for the worst, giving powers that are meant to boost the weaknesses of a person (but it's very flawed, not looking at nuance (applicable example here: Flour is a child and also frail even for her age, so this force assumed that it's her weakness--in turn giving her super strength and speed even though that's merely a side effect of her young age, not a permanent thing)). One of these effects, the rapidly evolving/devolving/adapting thing is something that humans were worried about for a long time, realizing that it could be the end of the world, banding together to build megastructures made to deflect the major clusters of these forces Earth might fly through--but it didn't work! And they were right to be worried, as it caused major issues and eventually lead to humanity splitting apart across the galaxy. This is why Flour looks this way--born with dog ears and a tail, being from a group of humans that rapidly adapted by way of mixing with other beings around them. These structures were left abandoned as a result, too big to take down, but eventually repurposed as housing (which is what you see in that piece, floating above the city!)

Finally, if too much is applied to a single person at once, such as during moments of extreme turmoil/emotion, since that's one of the ways to generate this force, it can lead to something called Corruption. This causes a person to become almost unstoppable and enter an uncontrollable fit of rage where they want nothing more than to destroy whatever caused them to enter this state, could be an abuser, sometimes a public figure, someone who's been a sworn enemy for a long time, sometimes even just an object that causes distress... The problem with it is that people in this state do not stop or go around anything in between them and the cause of their distress, meaning they'd mow through an entire crowd of bystanders just to get to it and destroy it

I explain all of this because now that Flour has gotten the help she needs and has found a new family in the other main characters of the story (Solus, Joelle, Jack, and Light), she and them spend their days helping people who enter this state of Corruption, fighting it out of them, in a sense. Most of the main cast has entered a state of Corruption before, Flour included, so they know what it's like and want to prevent others from causing damage like they did!

Some other facts about Flour:

Her real name is Dawn, but she insisted on being called Flour instead as her siblings would always call her that due to the white flecks in her hair!

Her favorite kind of food is ice cream!

She has autism, and one of the effects from that is that she's mute. Not due to any physical injuries, she can still talk... but only very rarely does

Due to the way in which she was raised and eventually found, no one knows her exact age, but she's around 13-15 years old

She likes staring at people and gets happy when they look back at her (assuming they're friends with her, that is), but tends to immediately avert her gaze whenever she speaks (in this case, writing something down or gesturing) to them, and often prefers to instead merely sit with them... no talking, no interaction, just sitting together

As briefly mentioned, her main powers are super strength and super speed, making it so despite her age and stature, she's physically one of the strongest characters in the series!

Her Spirits (siblings) are highly protective of her, unable to speak or communicate much in this Spirit state, they tend to sleep near Flour whenever they're not fighting, or otherwise fight very ferociously if they are in combat

I think that's about all I can think of... If I were to explain like absolutely everything this would be 5 times longer than it already is--

My most popular (and oldest) OC is Myria, my centipede woman. She's got a lot (15) of kids, and is a stay at home mother living somewhere in southeast asia.

She's a centiperson, with venom glands and fangs that retract into her throat but can protrude from the mouth.

She's kind of been at the forefront of my various stylistic experiments.
