Challenge accepted. I thought it could be fun to try to adapt some of its story into the current canon. In fact, there are only a few issues that need to be solved for this to work! Let’s begin.
1- Twi’Leks and Humans can breed
This was a rule that took place in Legends, but obviously we known Kanan and Hera had Jacen in Canon, which means there is now no reason as to why Atin and Laseema cannot.
2- CSF
In the EU, the CSF were pretty popular as the police force more than the Coruscant Guard. I figured that this doesn’t change anything in particular, maybe just that Kal says he prefers working with the CSF over the CG because he has Obrim in the CSF
3- Mandalore
So, obviously Mandalore from the EU and Mandalore from the Clone Wars are… different. Well I have a solution to this. The clones were created in 32 BBY, which was during the Phantom Menace. AKA, after Obi-Wan met Satine, well, after Sabine’s well established rule, she created Mandalore as pacifists. But, for the sake of this universe, a group of Mandalorians went to form their own ‘Mandalore’ on Kyrimorut to adhere to their more traditional Mandalorian values. Jango ruled this new Mandalore for a short time, explaining why Shysa wanted his heir, and why Shysa eventually becomes a Mandalorian ruler. This place would still be Mandalore to them, but it would be separate from the actual Mandalore of the Clone Wars Series.
Kyrimorut= New Mandalore= From Republic Commando
Mandalore= Actual Mandalore= From The Clone Wars
4- Spaarti Clones
So obviously the Spaarti Clones bred by Palps don’t exist in canon. So we are changing them to the most recent batch of clone troopers shipped off Kamino at the end of the war. Maybe still made with second generation Jango DNA. Instead of investigating the Spaarti clones, maybe Besany can find something related to Order 66. Which brings me to my next point…
5- Order 66
This is the biggest issue of canonization within the series. Because in the EU, there were no inhibitor chips. The clones just followed orders. So… what does that do here? Well… there are a few solutions.
Solution One is that they didn’t listen. The Nulls are already incredibly deviant when it comes to orders, so not a real problem there. Omega Squad is iffy, because they weren’t around any Jedi when it happened, but they knew they were going to meet up with Etain, who was a known Jedi. I could see Darman still fighting the chip, but not really for Niner, Atin, or Corr. Fi doesn’t matter since he isn’t wearing his trooper armor, and therefore doesn’t receive Order 66.
Solution Two is better. And it’s that Besany discovered the inhibitor chips based on the same report made by Rex that Ahsoka watched. She managed to access Anakin’s database or whatever cause Jaing tech skills for the win. While she did not discover the purpose of the chips or anything, she discovered they were there, and Kal hated having those chips inside his boys’ heads, and had them be removed as soon as possible in secret. Not to protect the Jedi, but just because Kal didn’t want the Kaminoans to be able to control his sons in any way. Then, when Order 66 rolled around, none of them obeyed.
RepComm was cancelled due to the upcoming continuity changes in TCW. Lore-wise it wasn't compatible anymore.
RepComm: Hard Contact came out in 2004, RepComm game and RoTS in 2005 and the lmperial Commando came out in 2009 and then they cancelled it. And TCW started in 2008.
So yeah, treating RepComm and TCW as if they were in the same continuity is ridiculous.
If a fanfiction-writer can merge the two universe together and still make it sense, kudos to that creator. Because you can't do that without cherry-picking lore elements.
But that's one meta-hell, when you combine Repcomm with
TCW FANON.

Torbin- A Character Analysis

So with this week’s Acolyte episode showing us what really happened on Brendok, and with this being most likely the final flashback episode, I figured I should dive in to creating some character analysis’ of different characters from the Acolyte. So I decided to start with Torbin.
Torbin is first mentioned in episode one as one of four Jedi that Mae has been instructed to kill without a weapon. While his former master, Indara, is shown, Torbin is not. Pretty straightforward.
Moving on to episode two, Torbin is revealed to be a respected Master who resides in the Jedi Temple on the planet Olega. Mae attempts to assassinate him while he is in deep meditation, but is unable to do so, as Torbin has been revealed to have taken the Barash Vow, and has not spoken to anybody in over ten years as of 132 BBY. This would mean he took the vow in 142 BBY, six years after the incident on Brendok in 148 BBY. This is important because it is likely he took the vow after graduating to the rank of Knight. However, Torbin is a Master, meaning that by the rules of the Jedi, he would have had to train a Padawan in between his promotion from Knight to Master. Whether he did this during his time of vow or not is unknown, but it is likely the former.
This would mean that Torbin would have had to go from Padawan to Master in the span of six years, meaning he likely would have made Knight after the Brendok incident. This will be important for later.
Also, note that it is also quite possible that Torbin never took on a Padawan. You can really only be graduated to Master if you have trained a Padawan who has risen to the rank of Knight. And Sol is a Master, but before he met Osha, he had to Padawan, and Osha never became a Knight, meaning Sol should canonically not be a Master in the first place, but I digress. The point is, in the span of what is likely six years, Torbin was promoted from Padawan to Master, and eventually joined a Jedi Temple on Olega.
Now, getting to his death scene in episode two. Mae offers him a poison to drink to help him ‘redeem himself’ or ‘find peace’ and Torbin ends up accepting it, and stating that he and the rest of his colleagues thought they knew what they were doing. He then commits suicide, a very un Jedi like action. I’ll come back to this later. Anyways, Sol and the others find Torbin’s body, and the episode continues on.
Now, a flashback version of Torbin does appear in Episode 3, but I will be skipping over to Episode 7 as that is where the true character and motivations of Torbin are. Torbin is a Padawan when we see him on Brendok, and as we heard earlier in the show, at this point in the galaxy, Jedi Padawans quite rarely left on missions, and Torbin is shown to be very attached to Coruscant, which makes sense if he rarely leaves the place.
Mother Aniseya uses this desire to return to Coruscant as a way to get inside Torbin’s head and control him, and while it is easy to accept Torbin is merely homesick, I think there is something larger here. Torbin’s fear. Torbin as a character does not strike me as very sure of himself, more insecure and cautious. Which makes sense. He’s a teenager, and teenagers can be insecure, reckless, and irrational at times.
Torbin doesn’t believe he can be a good Jedi. He fears that he doesn’t have what it takes and frankly, Indara doesn’t seem like the best fit Master wise for him. She has good intentions, but takes the more rigid approach to teaching, which the insecure and unbalanced Torbin doesn’t need. Torbin’s fear is failing his master and Sol and Kelnacca as well. Failing them and failing as a Jedi. So he yearns to go back to Coruscant because there he is free of that failure. So he falls victim to Mother Aniseya’s manipulations at first, and when he finds out that Mae and Osha are a vergence, and that they are his key to getting home, away from his failure, which he now fears even more because of Mother Aniseya, he takes that opportunity.
And in the process, he fails even more.
In the episode, we are shown that the witches of Brendok are indeed selfish in some of their actions, and one of the Mothers manipulates Mae and the other witches into fighting the Jedi. They are actively being needlessly aggressive. But Torbin doesn’t know this. So in his eyes, when Sol goes after him, and an entire planet’s population of witches, mothers, and at the time, what he believes to be Mae dies, Torbin cannot help but feel it is his fault, which he admits to Indara at the end of the episode.
So, sixteen years later, when Mae approaches him and offers him a chance to redeem himself for his failures, he takes it. Because Torbin’s mind has been fractured after being essentially tortured by Mother Aniseya. His head is not a safe place. He thinks himself a failure. In his mind, he didn’t just let down Indara, Sol, and Kelnacca. He let down an entire family and population. In his mind, he was the one who killed them. And in his mind, he failed as a Jedi. His greatest fear. And he then spent ten years being trapped with his own thoughts, in his own splintered mind, with only one thing in his head. The fact that he let everyone down, and that as far as he knew, his greatest fear had been realized.

So a little bit ago I made an X-Men ‘97 poster with the main roster of the team, minus a few characters. One of those characters was notably one of my favs, Nightcrawler. So I decided to include a poster with all of the later released character designs, including Nightcrawler, Forge, Emma, Dazzler, and Angel! Enjoy!

The fact that Echo is known as The Responsible One, Killjoy, Tired Parent of The Bad Batch and yet without fail, every time there is absolute fucking chaos in the vicinity the first reaction of the band of madcap frat boys he’s attached himself to is ‘Did Echo do that?’
Echo was with the 501st - Anakin ‘How Many Ways Can This Go Sideways’ Skywalker’s troop, because he impressed Captain Rex and Commander Cody, who are used to riding herd on the craziest Jedi the Order can provide, because the day they met involved blowing up the outpost they were assigned to.
Echo was Rex’s favorite. Echo helped Rex develop plans so good that the enemy had to capture him and drill them out of his head in order to beat.
Echo is chaos incarnate, he’s just tactical about it.

Okay, so I I was on wookiepedia, not writing, and ended up on the page where it tally's everyone's kill counts, and saw this:
And I thought, "That can't be right" and looked into it further, and it only had her Season 1 kills.
So, naturally, I went on Youtube and found this video that details the Bad Batch's kill count for all 3 seasons, and it puts Omega at ~21.
Then I realized that the video fail to calculate the casualties caused by the zillo beast, for which Omega is directly responsible, and I looked up the bit of dialogue in which Scorch reports the number of troopers that were taken out by the zillo, which he said was a total of "2 divisions".
Now, according to Wookiepedia, one division consists of 5,000-10,000 soldiers.
So, in total, at the tender age of baby ~13 years out of the tube, Omega's REAL kill count is somewhere along the lines of approximately 10,021-20,021 (clankah's included).
I love her.

You ever think about that one Star Wars couple that is just criminally underrated. You know, the ship with the battle hardened clone trooper who’s loyalty and determination, and perseverance is something incredible, and then the other side of the couple, a powerful, fierce, and bold blue skinned Twi’Lek woman who arose from her own personal trauma and grew to become such a strong figure to behold.
Just to clarify, I am not talking about Blyla.

I love this idea! Have Durge be hired by remnants of the Nihil from the High Republic books. Get rid of the space witches of Brendok. You can keep the Mae and Osha long lost sister thing, but have Mae be taken in by the Nihil remnants if you still want her as a prominent character. Or better yet, save her as a surprise for the end of the season. Maybe after defeating Durge and infiltrating the Nihil base, Osha discovers Mae is alive and it also sets up Mae as a villain for another season.
Maybe instead of having left the Order, Osha is a new Jedi Knight who is still grappling with losing her sister at a young age (with the coven gone you could make up a whole new backstory for this). She is still close with Master Sol, who has taken on Jecki Lon as his Padawan. Maybe Durge attacks Torbin and his Temple and kills not only Torbin, but many other Jedi inside as well to set him up as a serious threat. Maybe Vernestra sends Indara, Osha, Yord, and Yord’s Padawan to investigate. Durge watches from the shadows, and pretends to flee. The Jedi give chase, heading to the outskirts of the city, only to realize that Durge has led them into a trap. They hear the sounds of Durge approaching all around them, He isn’t trying to keep his presence hidden. He wants them to know he’s coming. He wants them to feel true fear. He wants these Jedi to cower at not just the sound of his name, but the sound of him. Durge turns the corner, weapons drawn. Osha and Yord’s Padawan are terrified. Yord prepares to go on the offensive while Indara orders them to stay back as she ignites her lightsaber. Boom. Episode One Credits.
I’m actually really liking the sound of this. It sounds like the premise for an awesome fanfiction, and with my disdain for the Acolyte’s writing and plot only increasing, it’s something I might actually aspire to write.
Y'know who else would have worked better for this Jedi serial killer murder spree thing?
Durge
He hates Jedi, he's several thousand years old, he's been affiliated with the sith numerous times over his long lifetime, and his unique physiology makes him a real challenge for a Jedi in a way non force sensitives usually aren't
Most importantly, he doesn't raise questions like having a sith trained assassin killing Jedi or an actual sith encountering Jedi does, Durge can totally be working for the sith in a job that involves killing Jedi, but his long life and mercenary nature means he doesn't give away the sith's survival like acolyte does
I vaguely remember him from the original Clone Wars cartoon, lol. If I recall right, he's the guy who could regenerate from near nothingness and had all the bounty hunter weaponry too. That would fit, you could have the cool fight scenes that the show is trying to hype up and they could actually be different from each other instead of the same fistfight, over and over again.
No need to work around the inclusion of the Sith. Although you could mix it with the idea of there being a rogue Sith Acolyte to have whoever the Master is hire Durge to kill them and everyone who might know a little too much about them. While he stays hidden.

Been awhile since I made a Republic Commando post, but I was just thinking about Bardan recently and how just generally awesome he is. I want to see him in canon again so badly. Anyways fun fact he’s actually older than Anakin believe it or not. Bardan was 22 in Triple Zero which was around the early part of the war still, when Anakin would have been 20-21 at most, meaning Bardan might have been in some classes or lessons with Anakin. I mean who knows?
Also, the idea of Bardan walking into the Jedi Council Chambers with rugged green Mando armor that none of the Council knew about near the end of Triple Zero and beginning to rant while Obi-Wan just silently wonders if this is something he needs to call Satine about is just… incredible.

He’s alive and happy and he, Fi, Corr, Atin, and the Nulls all went and extracted Delta Squad and Darman and Niner and lived happily ever after :)
Republic Commando Headcanons
cause I miss the characters already…
-Ordo and Besany have three kids. Idk what their names are, but all three are dang cute, and absolutely love their mom and dad. (Got this from Ny saying Ordo would be a good dad and now I want it to happen…)
-Corr proposed to Jilka drunkenly in a bar on Kyrimorut. He said “hey, let’s get married.” Jilka, also drunk, said yes. The next morning he woke up, sober, and asked if she still wanted to, and she said yes.
-Fi jokingly said that Parja should make a droid to write down all his thoughts to turn them into a book. Parja actually liked that idea and now has a small droid writing down all of Fi’s jokes to surprise him with on Life Day.
-Since Kanan and Hera had Jacen in canon, Twi’lek’s and humans can now have kids. Atin and Laseema have two little girls.
-Niner is doesn’t have kids, but he is basically the favorite Uncle to Atin and Fi’s kids, and Kad. He shows a much softer side when with his nieces and nephews.
-Darman and Niner get to Mandalore and Darman lives with his son happily ever after.
-THEY REVERSE THE AGING
