Do you think Evelyn is right? About people have been over depending on Supers too much. I’m just felt uncertain.

As much as I hate to admit it, I do understand where she is coming from. People shouldn’t things because they believe people will save them. You know the police can come at any time but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t lock your doors. There’s a fire station down the street but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen. In times of crisis, you have to depend on yourself. The supers are here to do as much as they can, but sometimes, without people’s help, it isn’t enough.

Pressed between the pages of some album I have a maybe a square inch of red cloth. It’s a cheap polyester/rayon material and its pretty stretchy but let’s just say that it wasn’t stretchy enough. Not to mention, it was the furthest thing from indestructible which is why it’s all that’s left of my first suit.

I was 19 and chasing after a bad of burglars. It was a pretty basic job but a big deal for me because it would be my first brush against organized crime. As it turned out, the band was part of a bigger group of criminals and we were chasing them to their headquarters. In my excitement, I stretched a little too far my entire suit fell apart. Definitely not one of my finest moments but hey, at least it brought me to Edna.
