Male Jackson's Chameleon, Trioceros jacksonii
Native Home: Jackson's Chameleons are native to East Africa, and live in trees of the mountain forests of Kenya and Tanzania.
Size:   Female: 10 – 13 in. (Adult) | Male: 9 – 13 in. (Adult)
Diet: Jackson's Chameleons live primarily on a diet of small insects. They also prey on centipedes, isopods, millipedes, spiders, lizards, small birds, and snails in their native habitat. Instead of drinking water, they lick dew from leaves.
Reproduction: Jackson's Chameleons give birth to 8 to 30 offspring at a time—unlike most female chameleons, which lay eggs and bury them in the ground.
Lifespan: Jackson's Chameleons can live  5 – 10 years in captivity, but live longer in the wild.
It’s easy to tell a male Jackson's chameleon from a female: only the males have horns.
