I don’t know what this says about my luck, but my wonky internet rose from the dead for two hours when the final chapter of #haikyuu dropped before dying againヽ(；▽；)ノ 

aggggh I’m so sad this is the last time I get to see our boys do this, I have so many feels about this but barely any time to get it out. I can’t wait for sensei’s next manga

Everyone’s focusing on how Kuro sounds like he’s gone full capitalist, but he actually comes in with the Nekoma ethos pretty hard. Some random thoughts:

CONNECT

- He’s hard at work “lowering the net”--as in making sports more accessible to more people and about how FUN sports are. ESPECIALLY since that line is preceded by that flashback. It would make more sense to me that his job in the sport promotion division is less being a marketing executive and more community outreach/player outreach. I would totally believe that the pre-game signing event was his doing if sensei told us that.

- The one panel where he talks about there are better ways to make money just kinda feels like the usual Kuro making some dumb joke since that entire interaction with Hinata is bookended by his love and passion for the sport itself. People seem to always like to pin mildly negative stereotypes to Kuro and I dunno folks, that just seems to be doing him dirty.

- You can still work for a sports association while having a science degree. Just sayin’. Exercise Science is a real major/degree and you need to learn physiology and chemistry, along with having some social skills for bedside manner, to be successful. His job is just an alt-academic career choice, so it’s believable to me that he’s still a science nerd, but also gotta wear a suit regardless or how high or low he is in the organization because he needs to represent the JVA.

- Who the hell would’ve thought that the Kuroken duo were the ones raking in the cash (and having real adult responsibilities already) at the end of Haikyuu???? I would’ve thought it would be Oikawa being rich as fuck and Iwaizumi being the responsible one, but I guess we still have next week to see.

- JVA probably met him and Kenma about Bouncing Ball and some exec was like “you got THAT GUY to play volleyball AND excel in it, you must be able to convince people of anything--wanna work for us?” lol

- Kuroken better be on the fucking sidelines at the Olympics, I swear to god, PLEASE SENSEI they have reasons to be! for work!

Anyway, this is just my way hyping myself up for this weekend. My body is ready!

Soooo many #kagehina thoughts, but Imma just focus on the #kuroken oozing from this panel.

1) "World famous Kudzoken and I got together...” -- those text bubbles didn’t have to be split like that but lol just reading that with a periodt at the end...I see what you did there copy editor lol

2) “...and we were thinking about making a little collab video” -- in combination with Atsumu’s little diss later in the panel, it makes it sound like Kuroken are gonna release an amateur AV lol

I’ve seen various translations of the phrase “畢生知己” as “lifelong confidante” or “soulmate,” and I’m always so torn because these are both fine translations but like, not quite there
