#throwbackthursday to 2 years ago when I was slowly figuring my way through this piece for @blacktempleshrines The actual piece itself is based on how I was feeling after someone near and dear to me took her own life a year or so previous. When I looked back on my last conversation with her (which I still have saved on my phone) I could see little cries for help that I never spotted at the time and I'm sure if I were to ask other friends they'd say the same. We'd gladly give up our hearts for her which I why I wound up drawing a 'Heart Garden' character who's literally growing new hearts in his chest so he has plenty to hand to those in need.
