MPA- Mystery Woman
Mystery Woman was released last 25th of July by MPA singer, songwriter, musician and producer based in London.
Its captivating melodies explore sophisticated aesthetics from the 70’s soft-rock. Not only the great voice but also the lovely guitars and sound influences make this new single a really impressive song. Mystery Woman explores a world even more captivated by new technologies and screens; that reality between social media profiles and real life where the girl with her kaleidoscopic eyes stares at you through the screen. I am looking forward to hear more about MPA
. . . . . .
Disconnected intimacy for you and me
Through pocket sized technology
It’s the only way we can talk
Cos I get choked up
When you’re right in front of me

The Orielles - Sugar Tastes Like Salt
‘Sugar tastes like salt’ is one of the first singles of The Orielles. This west Yorkshire trio released last year this brilliant single. In an eight minute track they compile the essence of the band, with sounds from the 80s/90s, indie pop, garage-rock with a catching and refreshing sound. Beneath the words of The Orielles we can find something more deep than the usual topics. They write about cinema, literature, abstract things, supernatural experiences. In fact, ´Sugar tastes like Salt´ is a line of Death Proof, film by Quentin Tarantino. Sidonie (drums), Esme (lead vocals and bass) and Henry (guitar) released their first album ‘Silver Dollar Moment’ last February.
The Orielles live concerts in UK:
24/08 Southsea Seafront, Portsmouth
30/08 Larmer Tree Gardens, End of the Road Festival, Salisbury
9/09 Mirfield Library, Huddersfield
29/09 Rock City, Nottingham
2/10 O2 Academy, Bournemouth
3/10 O2 Academy, Liverpool
4/10 Keele University Student Union, Keele
5/10 O2 Academy Oxford, Oxford
6/10 City Centre, Manchester
20/10 Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
3/11 unknown venue, Lincoln
29/11 Heaven, London
30/11 The Loft, Winchester

Courtney Barnett-City looks pretty
Courtney Barnett is inspiring and her latest album "Tell me how you really feel" comes to us as if it were a psychological therapy. Maybe we all feel alone sometimes in a crowded place or in a big city, perhaps we just need to express our anger with sexist situations by singing the phrase of Margaret Atwood in the words of Nameless Faceless and make it our anthem of vindication. Courtney also remind us that ‘it’s ok to have a bad day’ in Hopefulessness and also ‘You don’t have to pretend you’re not scared. Everyone else is just as terrified as you’ in Charity.
Enjoy this wonderful album which explores human being in our vulnerability, frustrations, loneliness and anger.
If you live in UK don’t hesitate to attend any of the gigs of Courtney Barnett on November. She will be playing in London, Oxford, Brighton, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow and NewCastle.

Replica
Replica is the sixth song of the last album of The XX. ‘I see you’ was released on January 13 of last year and they left us all with an album plenty of warm and relaxed melodies. The London trio with their third album ‘I see you’ has been consolidated, even more, as one of the most important bands in this era. With an excellent production by Jamie XX and words that lead us to the fragility of the human being, introspection, but also warm and bright melodies and rhythms.

On A Friday
Girl (in a purple dress) is a song included in what is supposed to be Radiohead's first recording. Back in 1985, the group that at the time was called On A Friday used to rehearse on Fridays in the music classroom of their institute (hence the name). This cassette  is great because at the same time it surprises us it makes us see clear influences from The Smiths, Talking Heads or U2. It is very curious as some songs we see glimpses of what would be Radiohead in their next albums, and an example of this is the beginning of this song which could perfectly remind us of the battery of Weird Fishes. And it's incredible to me that this group is Radiohead, it fascinates me, these songs make me think of a Thom Yorke learning and creating songs with the rest of the group. It was later when the group signed with their first musical label and they were forced to change the name to Radiohead, the title of a song by Talking Heads. I invite you to listen to some of these original songs by Radiohead, I'm sure you do not they will leave indifferent. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// With this first post I want to welcome you to my blog in which I will share songs with you, I will write about curiosities or anecdotes of the groups that we will listen to and in which we will also have a section of reviews of albums and festivals. I hope you read and especially enjoy this blog that is made from a great affection to music. I hope that I can transmit my passion with my words.
