John Paesano and Braden Kimball - Daredevil - Main theme 2015

Marvel's Daredevil is an American television series created for Netflix, based on the Marvel Comics character Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime as a masked vigilante by night.

The main theme of the series, which was composed by John Paesano and Braden Kimball, is derived from Paesano's original demo for the series, which he submitted during the auditioning process. Paesano noted that it is rare for such material to be incorporated into a final score like this. The theme was briefly re-used for Daredevil's appearances in She-Hulk and the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. In July 2024, the Newton Brothers were revealed to be composing music for the revival series Daredevil: Born Again, and their main theme incorporates the Daredevil theme. (their version is an instant skip for me, though....)

Happy 25th anniversary to Kirby 64 Crystal Shards. While its not my favorite game in the series, its still a darn good one that deserves celebrating. Plus, it has one of the best soundtracks in the N64's library.

Tel maître, tel chat. Nous devons tous les deux être sous un dispositif d’oxygène. Mon chat a de la cortisone par inhalation deux fois par jour, et moi, l’oxygène dont je vous ai parlé. Vous savez, j’ai reçu le compte-rendu complet des examens de Chi-Chi et cela montre qu’il présente également ce qui semble être un début de problèmes rénaux. Au vu de ses antécédents urinaires, ce n’est malheureusement pas étonnant dans son cas… Cela devra être surveillé avec de futurs examens. Je ne veux tellement pas le perdre.. je fais toujours de mon mieux pour lui offrir le meilleur et veiller à ce que tout soit adapté à son bien-être.

More SGI computers

I got some new SGI computers. I was surprised because I thought the SGI guys from the Czech Republic gave me all their leftovers. I had to go to one of the original SGI offices in Brno this time. The office design was very 90s and there were classic SGI artworks on the walls. All the people there are now HPE employees but many of them started there working for SGI when every employee had an Indy or O2 on their desk.

The “loot” contains:

Two SGI O2 / MIPS R5000 / 2x SCSI HDD / the one with the older logo has an analog AV module installed

SGI Visual Workstation 320 / 1x Pentium II / a basic configuration with an IDE HDD

SGI Challenge / MIPS R5000 / basically an Indy without audio ports and a graphics card

Two sets of keyboards and mice, the PS/2 one is for O2 and the USB one for SGI 320

Britta Phillips - Jem - Truly Outrageous 1985

Jem and The Holograms, also known as simply Jem, is an American animated musical television series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The series is about record company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, and the adventures of her band Jem and The Holograms. The series was a joint collaboration by Hasbro, Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions, the same team responsible for G.I. Joe and Transformers. The creator of the series, Christy Marx, had also been a staff writer for the aforementioned programs. The animation for most of the episodes was provided by Japanese animation studio Toei Animation. Eleven episodes and the stunningly gorgeous opening sequence were provided by the South Korean studio AKOM.

The series' format included three songs for the featured music videos in each episode. The music videos paralleled the style of rock videos found on MTV at the time featuring fast editing, a quick pace, and special effects. The inclusion of music videos in Jem was a result of the success and popularity of MTV (Music Television) at the time, which began airing four years prior. The show contains a total of 187 music videos with 151 unique songs. Over 200 original songs were written for the series. Several songs are featured on cassette tapes of Hasbro's Jem toy line.

The Jem Theme was composed by Anne Bryant and sung by Britta Phillips. The song is an alternate version of "Truly Outrageous", arranged to fit the TV series intro's imagery and also allows for a verse sung by the show's antagonists The Misfits to be added.

"Truly Outrageous" received a total of 68,6% yes votes!
