sometimes you just have to let yourself be a bit neurodivergent.

i hate going out, it gives me a lot of anxiety and sensory input that i dont like, and i am often forced to talk to people.

so i do this thing on more difficult days, or sometimes just for fun, where i "bring a fictional character with me". i walk and imagine Fictional Character walking next to me. they talk to me, reassure me, hype me up, whatever i need them to do.

today dean winchester came christmas shopping with me. he went over the list with me of stuff i needed to get, told me i was doing a good job every time i finished in a certain shop, reminded me to take a deep breath when i got a little overwhelmed.

and yea. its kinda silly. and i know its just me talking to myself in a different voice, but it Works! especially since all of my special interests/hyperfixations tend to be tv/movie related.

so do what you gotta do to Get Shit Done. stop holding yourself to neurotypical standards. if you need Fictional Character to tell you you're doing a good job, do it! if you need Favourite Singer to walk you to school, do it! yea it might feel silly but you're literally fighting against your own brain to get stuff done every single day. you can have a little self indulgent daydream, as a treat.

Day 4 Corazón Week 2025:

INTERESTS/HOBBIES/SILENCE

⛪👑SILENTIVM 👑⛪

For the fourth day of this incredible challenge, I present mi 4th piece that pushed me far out of my comfort zone, but one I grew to deeply love. ✨💬

From the beginning, I knew this was going to be a challenge: I debated for days whether to portray it as a stained glass window or a Byzantine mosaic. In the end, I chose the latter inspired by the magnificent mosaics of Hagia Sophia. The geometry, the opulence, the deep spiritual stillness of those golden tiles spoke to me. 🕯️🔶

I designed this as a tribute to both the silent strength of the character and the sacred silence of ancient iconography. The word SILENTIVM, written in Latin below the figure, means “silence” .. not just the absence of sound, but a state of inner quiet, restraint, and protection. ✝️🤫

The ornamented crown, studded with jewels and hearts, is a nod to the imperial regalia often seen in Byzantine depictions of saints and empresses. I also included the halo-like framing, made to resemble the radiating designs from real mosaics 👑🧡💔

I didn't want to keep the format strictly square or rigid. Instead, I built a frame shape that evokes the silhouette of original Byzantine panels, curved and sacred, like the worn edges of memory.

Seeing Corazón like this rendered as a saint of silence and sorrow, crowned in love and grief honestly moved me. It's a strange thing to feel both ancient and intimate in one illustration, but that’s exactly how this felt.

This is one of the pieces that reminded me why I love merging art history with fiction!! Hope you like it💞✨
