Entry 21: Work In A Different Environment.
For this prompt I used the extracted concept of failure.

It was getting to that time in the term where there is a work overload and deadlines are looming and failure is not a something that I want to experience at this time so in order to counteract that I went to work in a different environment.
I went to my sisters place and it was the catalyst to getting lots of work done and thus failure was swiftly avoided.

Entry 20: Do A Dare.
Based on the extracted concept of courage, I decided to do this prompt.

For this prompt I asked my friend for a dare. I knew exactly what he was going to say before he actually answered though. He told me that he wanted me to jump into the pool with what I was wearing at that moment and to take before and after pictures. I knew at that moment that this would be the first prompt that I would fail.
I hate swimming and my friend knows that too. And there is no way that I would just jump into the pool in my clothes. And therefore, I failed this task.

Entry 19: Write Down 100 Questions.
I did this task with the extracted concept of friendship in mind.

What I did was I wrote down 100 questions that one could use to get to know someone new or just fun things to ask friends.
I did it all on one page and in different colours for funsies.
As a highly awkward person I always feel the strain when trying to make friends and having pre-thought out questions is something I think could really help. I also believe that the ability to talk to new people and making friends is something one has to be incredibly strong to do.

Entry 18: Eat Something Culturally New.
For the concept of skill I finally got to experience Ramen!

As a friend group we decided to go out for dinner one night. It was for our two friends’ birthdays (belated and future) and we went to a really nice restaurant for Asian cuisine. It was amazing... I was sooooo hungry and it just hit the right spot!

Just the creation of such a dish is amazing skill and OMG was it AMAZING!!!! I can cook but like not like this so..... wooooow!

We even got dessert afterwards which was AMAZING! It was like a sesame and vanilla ice cream thing it was just so interestingly new and delicious.

Entry 17: Do Something You Haven’t Done Since Your Childhood.
Inspired by the extracted concept of pleasure, I went and did something that I haven’t done in agesssss. It was extremely fun and it definitely gave the feeling of pleasure.

So I was at spur with a friend (we were getting half price waffles) and I saw a kid colouring in and I was like “I haven’t done that in ages! Hey.. I’mma do that!” and so I asked for a sheet of colouring in paper and yeah... that’s how it went.

It was really fun and I’m very proud of myself.

I also put it on the fridge so I get instant gratification every time I go to get foo.

Entry 16: Visit A Small Town You’ve Never Been To Before.
The concept that is depicted in this entry is difference. The concept is shown in an adventure to Heidelberg.

We went on another adventure!!! It was for someone’s birthday party thing and I had a lot more fun than I thought I would (which is always a good thing). It was different because I was kind of a tag along with other friends and I didn't know the people all that well.
But it was super fun and we got to see the stars!!!! I love seeing the stars!! The stars just make me so happy and kind of give me a sense of pleasure. It’s weird but it’s just how I feel.
We also played an Afrikaans version of capture the flag in the fields at night which was kinda freaky but I survived and there was cake and really good food so all in all a great adventure to Heidelberg.

Entry 15: Make A Drastic And Unexpected Change To Your Daily Routine. Keep It Up For A Couple Days.
This entry is based on the last extracted concept of inconvenience in which I spent three weeks living at my sister’s place where I dogsat for her while she was away.

So the picture above was the room that I slept in. A mess, I know.... *sigh*. I hope you’ve gathered why this was an inconvenience by now. In my sister’s house, it ALWAYS looks like this, and that is only one room so yeah.
Anyway, the dogs are awesome and I love them and they’re extremely adorable...

This one slept with me every night, and only by my feet. It was great.

This one slept next to me, which was a little more inconvenient because he snores pretty loudly and it was quite difficult to fall asleep with him.
With staying at my sister’s it meant that everything I do on a daily basis was changed. So my meals were different (she’s kosher, so all my meals had to be kosher), the way I slept was different, daily doings were different (feeding the dogs at certain times, showering and whatnot, what I did during the day), and especially the wifi was different (!!!). But I was able to get through it in the end and it wasn’t a terrible time.

Entry 14: Change Your Appearance Drastically.
Based on the extracted concept rarity I interpreted this prompt by wearing a skirt two days in a row.
[Play this song while you read]

Now I know this doesn’t seem like a drastic change but to me, it is. I never, and I mean NEVER, wear skirts. My best friend has only ever seen me in a skirt once and my friends from varsity were very confused as to why I was wearing a skirt. So this is definitely a drastic change to my appearance.

In doing this task I realise a couple things about skirts. So I’m going to list them right now:
1. I have nowhere to put my things! Where am I supposed to put my phone or my keys or my lip ice???? It’s problematic, and I don’t agree with the design.
2. Pairing a skirt with a shirt takes an inconveniently long amount of time. It has to look right or be the right colour and don’t even get me started on the shoes! For someone who religiously wears sneakers, I feel very discriminated against. But I made it work.
3. I definitely don’t own enough skirts for this to be a constant thing, and I doubt I’d want to wear a dress to varsity... but I did feel nice and pretty so I guess it wasn’t too bad.
So after this task, I’m back to shorts and jeans because skirts are effort that I don’t want to put in.

Entry 13: Go All Out At A Dress Up Party.
So I went all out at a dress up party!

Anyway so this is relevant in terms of the last extraction because the concept was significance. So the significant event I went to was my cousin’s Bat Mitzvah (you know.. when a jewish girl turns 12 and becomes a young woman... yeah that).
I wore a dress and everything! TWICE! (It was a two parter event). I don’t usually wear dresses and wear makeup or high heels (at all) so it was kinda fun? But only kinda lol. It was a lot of effort but yes.

And when my feet got sore or my shoes started to annoy me, I had comfy awesome converse to wear (YEEEEE).

Entry 12: Do Something On A Rooftop Somewhere.
In this post I took the extracted concept of ascending and applied it to my habit of gaming.
I love how I went about doing this entry because the prompt doesn’t specify what kind of rooftop and how I go about doing it... hence I climbed up the side of a building and onto the roof of said building... in Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds looooooool.
That’s pretty much it for this entry because I got to the roof, realised I could use that moment, took a screenshot and I probably died moments later to be honest. That’s basically me in PUBG (get into the game, run around for a bit and then die).
So as any gamer would know, playing a multiplayer like this one means that some games are more important the further you get in that particular game because you’ve just got to get that Chicken Dinner.

Entry 11: Climb A Tree And Sit In It For A While. Document The Experience.

I did this prompt based on the extracted concept of sound.
It was a warmish winter day and my friend and I were extremely bored. So we collected another friend, went for lunch and somehow we decided to go to Delta Park. We walked down to one of the rivers and just off of the bank was a tree that just looked so enticingly climbable.
So naturally we had to climb it.
It was one of those days that ensured that the park was quiet (except for the jungle gym area), so we could hear everything. The flowing water of the river, the light breeze shifting the trees, and the sounds of birds in the surrounding areas. We just sat there and watched and listened and talked about unimportant things. There were even ducks!
We also ended up putting some of our own music on and we talked and laughed over it.
Overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience. We even went and found swings after and got ice cream! It was a proper childhood moment with good people.

Entry 10: Go To A Music Festival. Stay Sober.

This prompt was inspired by the extracted concept of adventures, in which I went on a mini adventure with friends (but lets face it, all adventures are on the same level of awesome!).
I did this prompt by going to Arcade Empire on a Saturday evening where a couple of bands were playing. It all came about because my friend really loves one of the bands that were playing and he really wanted me to experience their music.
I did indeed stay sober, although that wasn’t too difficult since I don’t really like to drink alcohol anyway.
It was an awesome experience and the bands were pretty good. My friend would be happy to find out that I then went and downloaded some music by Made For Broadway (which was one of the bands playing).
It also ended up being an awesome adventure session. We ended up getting ice cream and Steers afterwards which was super cool.. literally. Also the ice cream machine was broken at Steers which was so much disappointment.

Entry 9: Attend An Art Exhibition.

For this prompt I used the extracted concept from the last entry that happened to be creations and... you guessed it! ...went to an art exhibition!!
It was the Open Window Reflections exhibition and it was really cool. I managed to convince some of my friends to go with me too, so that made it better... although one of them doesn’t really get art and got pretty rowdy... but it was okay in the end.
We also ended up getting ice cream afterwards which was AMAZING!!!!
At the end of it all, it ended up being a pretty awesome adventure.

Entry 8: Spend Time With A Very Young Child.

Using the the extracted concept of remembrance, I chose to use the prompt of spending time with a young child.
By spending time with my niece and taking pictures of the fact, I create memories for myself and for my niece. I believe that creating memories is a vital part of growing up. And I believe that the idea of taking photos whether it be with family and friends, of mundane activities, or ordinary things of life, altogether it creates a strong foundation of memories that one can look back on.

Entry 7: Reorganise Your Living Space. Decorate Your Room With New Things.

Using the extracted concept of love, I decided to use the prompt of reorganising my room using pictures of me and my friends or family.
So I printed out some of my favourite photos with friends and family and then I collaged them on my wall by my desk, so that I can always see them.

Entry 6: Ask Someone On A Date. Go On A Date.

To start off the asking process I employed the help of my last extracted concept: mark making.
So I drew an invitation to go on a date with me. I asked my friend Josh and we went and got Bubble Waffles.

They were indeed extremely yum and highly enjoyable. It really helped to cheer me up.

Entry 5: Go To A Public Place And Draw Everyone You See For At Least An Hour. Make As Many Drawings As You Can. Give The Drawing To The Person You Drew.

For this entry I took the extracted concept of family and I took my sister to breakfast.
While at the restaurant I did the drawings of the patrons around me (I also had a hella breakfast and tried to do some of my illustration collage).

It was kinda awkward because it felt weird to be drawing people without their knowledge.. obviously until I gave them the drawings (which was hella awkward too!)
