You started to rethink your decision when you were running across the platform, no weapon in hand to fight 20+ feet robot aliens and explosions going off everywhere. Then again, you were determined to fight along side your new robot alien friend to defeat the other…robot alien fiend. Aliens really need to find another planet to make a pit stop at, dont they?

You grunt as you pick up a piece of debris from the ground, it’s about the size of your head and could do as much damage as a splinter to Scourge. Who cares, you’d rather it be annoying than harmless

Scourge knocks Mirage back and you take this as an opportunity.

You lost count on how long it’s been since your husband, Sun Wukong, was released from The Mountain Of Five Elements, and the events of the mountain trolls went and passed. You never expected anything like it, but the Great Sage Equal to Heaven… had companions. You didn't know why the pig still followed you, but Liuer and his Shifu were more than welcome. 

It's not that you hated the pig… well, kind of, but it mostly had to do with the fact that he tried to send your husband to the afterlife. 

“Great Sage? How many-” Liuer’s voice snapped you out of your thoughtless daydream and made you focus on the group walking ahead of you.

“A lot,” was Wukong’s lame reply to the boy’s question. Of course that wasn't a satisfactory answer to the overly curious young monk. 

“But what about (Y/n)? Isn't she?”

What are they talking about? You wanted to ask, but you knew that once you asked, you’d regret it.

“No, that's different,” he said, which made you even more curious about what Liuer was asking the Monkey King about. “Why are you only asking me? She's right there, go ask her yourself.”

“But she said you would be able to explain things better than she ever could,” Liuer stated, repeating what you had told him… which made your husband look back at you with a glare you smiled at. 

You pretended not to hear what was being said, but Wukong knew that when you paid attention, you could hear him whisper from a mile away with your advanced sense of hearing. You thought it was absolutely adorable how the two interacted, like an unexpected father to his newly found adopted son. You had thought many times of how Wukong would be as a father, since you knew him best and saw past his flaws.

As his wife, you knew Sun Wukong like the back of your hand, and you sided with him through everything. You even sided with him when he went against the Heavens, that's how much you loved your Monkey King. As such, you know when he doesn't like something… and you never get that feeling where Liuer is concerned. 

Annoyance, sure, of course annoyance. He is often very annoyed by the boy, but you never got that sense that he’d want to hurt or leave the child. Sure… maybe he’s tried to get rid of the kid before, but when he gave up doing that, you could see that was when he started to get attached to the annoying human monk. 

“Adorable,” you snickered to yourself. 

“Hey,” you looked at Wukong hearing his shout. 

How’d they get so far ahead? I need to stop daydreaming before I lose them. You thought to yourself.

“Hm?” you smiled a bit seeing he was looking at you. 

“Why are you walking so slow? Hurry up,” he called for you. Translation: ‘He’s talking too much again and I won’t endure this alone.’

“So, so adorable,” you shook your head with a smile, but walked a bit faster in order to catch up with the men and little boy. It was only then that you noticed exactly where you were and you couldn't help but smile at the memories that came back to you.

“Great Sage, have you ever been to the temple before?” Liuer asked as he saw how happy the Monkey King seemed all of a sudden.

“A few times,” Wukong stated as you caught up to him. “It’s an important place,”

“Really?” Liuer looked up at your husband in amazement before he tilted his head curiously. “How come?”

“It’s where I met (Y/n),” he looked at you with a small smile as he subtly held onto your pinky gently and caressed it. This man just knew all the right things to make your heart want to leap out of your chest. “And where we got married.” 

“Wow,” Liuer said as he walked between you both. Wukong was quick to lift your hand so he wouldn't have to let you go as the clueless child walked past you both to walk a few feet ahead where Shifu and Pigsy were.

“So, papa Sunny,” you tried to say seriously, but couldn't help but snicker. 

“What?” he looked at you with a raised brow, but shook it off.

“Papa Sunny,”

“Stop that,” he looked at you, unamused.

“What do you mean, papa Sunny?” you tilted your head as you gaze at him with an innocent look, but you couldn't help the laugh. Wukong looked at you with narrowed eyes that questioned your sanity.

“Have you been drinking?” He raised a brow.

“No, you idiot. I'm just admiring how good of a dad you are,”

“Dad? What are you talking about? I am nobody's father,” he stated as he walked off, you were quick to follow.

“Of course you are,” you grinned up at the taller primate. 

“No, I'm-” he cut himself off as he stopped walking and turned to look at you. You raised a brow, but when he eyed you from head to toe, and stared from your eyes to your stomach, you blushed profusely. “Are you��?”

“Of course not!” you snapped, placing a hand subconsciously on your stomach. “Are you saying I look bloated?” you questioned him, he rolled his eyes and continued walking. 

“No, I was just asking because you seem to think I’m a father,” he glanced at you with a small smirk. “And you’re my only wife.” The way he emphasized you were his, made your heart beat even faster than seeing him look at you like that. 

“I meant,” you started, jogging a bit to keep pace with him, “since Liuer is technically your kid,”

“What?” he looked at you with narrowed eyes. “You are crazy.”

In a way, it should've been expected. MK was literally wielding the staff and held the powers of the Great Sage Sun Wukong's powers; it was only a matter of time before your partner became a mini-Wukong.

And while the battle itself was a terror (seriously. Your boyfriend could've died!), the aftermath was well deserved and needed.

What was the aftermath? A beach day of course! An entire day dedicated to spending time with your boyfriend and his crew (and, well, now that the Demon Bull Family was in the mix too.). A day to relax and rest.

A day to talk to your boyfriend's mentor.

....wait what?

"(Name)?" Wukong was sitting next to you, legs crossed, and a neutral expression on his face. Together, you both observed as MK, failing to let his sunscreen soak, rushed into the water and proceeded to jump Red Son with the most feral scream known to man. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"

Honestly? In all your life you hadn't really spoken much to the Great Monkey King. Ironic, to think you're dating his successor but so far only spoke two words to him, till today, anyway.

When you confirmed Wukong's questions, he heaved a sigh and glanced back to the water. Now, MK was building a sandcastle, only for Red Son to break it down before his eyes. You know what, the Bull prince deserved his bullying.

"I know he's not...exactly comfortable, using it, but I've been tryna convince him that he should at least try to master it, you know?" The Monkey King was saying.

"So you think I can try to convince him to use it?" You asked, a little unsure. "Monkey King, sir, I don't think―"

You didn't have much of a choice in the matter. It was the Monkey King you were arguing against, the guy who caused so much trouble that he even made the Buddha mad. You were obviously going to lose.

So thus, you accepted your fate, waiting for a chance to talk to MK when he and Mei were done making Red Son cry (it took a total of five minutes, but who was counting?).

"...you know..." You sweatdropped. Wukong had specifically told you to avoid mentioning that this was his idea, or else he'd find you and leave you stranded in the country with pregnant water. That was a chance you weren't so willing to take, so you chose your next words wisely.

"...um...I just think it's cute!" You exclaimed nervously. "Y-yeah, your monkey form. I know you don't like it, but I really think it looks super cute on you. It makes me wanna hug you and squeeze you super tight. Mhm, totally!" What were you saying? He'd start suspecting you―

"Oh, really?" MK sat up. "You think it's cute?"

Nevermind, your boyfriend was an idiot.

You nodded, and he seemed to weigh your words on his mind. He dropped his towel, turning to face you completely with a nervous little smile.

"I don't hate it―" They said, moving to sit beside you. They rested their head on your shoulders, his arms wrapped around your waist with a hum. "It's just...it makes me nervous. I'm scared I'll hurt you with it."

You smiled gently, hugging your boyfriend closer, resting your chin on his head. He didn't seem to mind the height difference, because MK snuggled even closer despite the heat, embracing your warmth.

"You would never hurt me though," you say, your voice soft. "And I trust you more than anyone else in this whole world. You know that, don't you?"

He nodded.

You don't say anything, and neither does he for a while. Together, you guys bask in each other's presence, staring after your friends that run around making trouble, as always.

That was until MK spoke up again.

"Do you really think my monkey form is cute?"

You leaned back slightly. "Yup. Reminds me of the baby monkeys."

MK processed your words. You couldn't see the little twinkle in his eyes, nor the evil little grin that followed.

You, naive little (Name), could not see the little monkeys in MK's brain that were only screaming about the idea of being hugged and cuddled, and MK took that to his advantage.

It took a full minute for you to realize something fuzzy was wrapped around your waist.

It took another minute for you to realize you were cuddling something fuzzy, and furry.

You look down.

MK stared back with an amused grin, sharp canines evidence of his form being visible, and giggled at your surprised expression.

(Wukong might've been right with that. MK would do anything to get your attention, no matter the cost.)

"You―" You blink, gently running your fingers through the soft fur on his cheekbones, and cupped your boyfriend's cheeks to smush his lips together. He looked ridiculous with his lips puckered out like that, looking annoyed, and you laughed with disbelief and amusement.

You shake your head, still laughing, and pressed your lips against your boyfriend's for a kiss, his arms wrapping tightly around you, and his body shaking with his excitement.

"You're an idiot," you say after a moment, pulling away from your kiss. You smile at them, caressing his cheeks lovingly. "You're an idiotic little monkey, aren't you?"

MK smiled, his expression bright as he yanked you towards his chest. He held you close, trapped in his embrace, and laughed cheerfully.

"Correction!" He chirped, nuzzling your neck. "I'm an idiotic little cuddle monkey, my darling."

"Of course you are."

Most to Least Likely To Fall In Love With a Human: TFP Autobot edition

1: Smokescreen He's always been the type to fall in love easily and he's an open-minded mech so he isn't really surprised when he starts having a little crush on the human he was assigned to protect. He's also really bad at hiding it, so there's a big chance you'll catch on that he likes you before he blurts it out with the worst possible timing. In front of everyone. In front of Optimus.

2: Bumblebee Bumblebee's been on Earth for a while and he's grown to love a lot about it, especially the friends he's made. But he can't help but want to be more than friends with you. He's not as bad as Smokescreen, but he does try to get your attention a lot and is very affectionate for a "friend".

3: Optimus Prime Optimus hasn't allowed himself to grow too attached to anyone for a very long time, but war has also taught him to treasure happiness wherever he can find it. And he's the happiest when it's just you and him on a long road, enjoying each other's company. But he’ll never be the one to confess. He doesn’t think you would be happy with an old mech like him and your happiness is too important to him.

4: Bulkhead This sweet Wrecker was always nervous around you and you never knew why. You honestly thought he disliked you until Wheeljack teased him about his crush in front of you. Bulkhead was quite flustered, but when he saw you weren’t disgusted like he thought you would be, he asked you on a date if you wanted to take a ride with him where he properly told you how he felt.

5: Arcee Just like Optimus, she's hesitant about getting attached to anyone and she's a lot more reticent about her feelings. You won't know she feels anything for you until your life is in danger and she becomes a complete wreck. She'll admit to everything, scared that you could have died without knowing how she felt.

6: Wheeljack He doesn't really get why the others like humans so much until he gets a human of his own. He likes having a little adventure buddy but it’ll take him months to realize that he only wants adventure if it’s with you. Imagine his horror when he realizes he’s gone soft because of you.

7: Ratchet Ratchet tried to get out of being your guardian. He had enough things to worry about but once you prove you won't be a burden to him, he slowly warms up to you. But he still worries and becomes almost obsessive with keeping you safe. He confuses what he's feeling for just being protective of his charge until the other bots tell him it's just... not.

8: Ultra Magnus Denial. He is in denial. He can’t believe that he would ever fall in love with a human but here he is, desperately pining over you but unable to confess his feelings because he’s never felt this way before. So he hides behind his duties as your protector, denying having a “crush” on you despite being so much kinder and lenient with you than anyone else.

Headcanons for Wukongs feelings about his S/O being really paternal with the baby monkies? Like playing games with them, taking care of them, comforting them if they need it, treasuring any gifts given regardless of what it is. S/O just basically adopted them all lol

- NO BUT HE STRAIGHT UP LOVES IT SO MUCH HONESTLY.

- Monkeys are unruly creatures, sometimes borderline violent if not treated correctly but that doesn't phase you at all and Wukong wasn't even all that concerned but he did scold his monkeys in advance to be nice to you when you were coming for your first visit.

- And they were, at least, a lot nicer to you than how they treated MK when he first arrived on Flower Fruit mountain but they still messed with you. Doing things like tugging on your clothes, pulling you around every which way and so, and sometimes stealing snacks from you when you weren't looking or when Wukong wasn't there to reprimand him.

- Basically not a bad first impression but, um, it most definetly could have been a bit better, that's for sure.

- However, now that you've become a regular guest and have even stayed over a few nights, it becomes clear and apparent that they are now suddenly super attached to you and you become just attached to them.

- Wukong first noticed this change when the moment you'd arrive on the island after he brought you back via cloud that all of his monkeys would be gathered around your usual landing area and cheering the moment you guys came into sight.

- Then they'd all tackle you the moment you set foot on the island, wanting to be held by you after missing you so much and you fall back onto Wukong's cloud, laughing and feeling tickled as they all tried to hug you wherever they could, Wukong having to raise his voice in a serious tone to get them off of you.

- Or if you arrive by yourself without Wukong on the island, you'll immediately have a group of monkeys waiting for you and pulling you up to the mountain or pulling you into the forest to play with them. Wukong becoming confused on where most of his monkey friends have gone and where you went before putting two and two together and going into the forest to fetch you from them because, like, yeah, he's happy you guys get along but that is HIS (Y/n)!

- Some wholesome moments of you guys having a campfire and such outside the mountain and as it gets later and later, all of his monkey's start to pile around you as you try to pat all of their heads and hold as many as you can to let them know they're all loved by you and Wukong has a few sleeping on him but laughs a little at how cute you'd be.

- His monkey's get possessive and jealous like he does with you so as much as he loves his little buddies, THEY NEED TO REMEMBER THAT YOU MAY LOVE ALL OF THEM, BUT THAT YOU LOVE HIM BEST. And like, he yells that you love him more and it hurts their feelings and now he's apologizing to them like how a big sibling is trying to get his younger siblings to stop crying because they know they're gonna get in trouble.

- Very impressed that you know all of their names too, honestly. Even he forgets them sometimes which honestly makes you all the more impressive in his eyes.

- Overall, HE LOVES IT SO MUCH BUT HE CAN'T HELP BUT GET JEALOUS WITH HOW THEY STEAL SO MUCH OF YOUR ATTENTION FROM HIM.
