Sadakat: Whoever joins the family should know where their roots lie. If someone's roots are elsewhere, one of their feet will always be outside. Their branch will break, and their leaves will scatter. Cihan: I don’t care about their roots, mom. No matter where they come from, it’s enough for me that they stand strong and hold their head high.
Okay it seems the subtlety runs in the family.
Honestly we may not call this "subtle" anymore I guess, the guy is screaming "I love my wife, she is perfect, shut up" lololol.
The funny thing is Nare's reaction. She is one of us, such a fangirl.
Cihan: *i apologize on her behalf* Alya: *no apology needed*
Cutest couple.

These beautiful scenes were overshadowed and I will never forgive them for this.
He usually shows his love through actions and she appreciates it but if things were different, he would also openly tell her he loves her.
It was giving a "they could have been happy but that problem will be forever between them" kind of message. If that "problem" made sense, or erupted from the main plot or their different traits, or wasn't a "permanent" obstacle, I could have been less angry...so it wasn't a good type of angst, it puts the show into a spot where the viewers don't know what the show will turn into, if the characters change too, or the spark will be still there after all this mess.
The show should be full of angst and drama, I agree that, but not this way. Some topics are delicate, not every tv show could pull it off, and actually I don't think I've ever seen such topic doesn't give any harm, in every occasion, even in the cases where the main plot requires third people, it usually ends up taking many things from the series.
Yes, the characters can stay firm and strong, but the good feelings they evoke can be gone. It's such a simple rule, I don't understand why they insist on not seeing it.
26th episode could have been perfect but they chose to go down the "let's insult our viewers more" route. Sometimes I feel like the showrunners don't deserve our patience and love for the series. I hope there won't be a day they'll really need our enthusiasm back more than they think.

Why are you so irritated? Why wouldn't I be? Just accept it. We lost. Do you think that's what this is about? Then what is it about? Forget it. Tell me. What is it about it? I said forget it! Tell me!

How many times they confessed actually without saying "i love you"...
Alya: I told you I didn’t want you to kill anyone. And you told me, "Alya, I won’t kill anyone when you are there." You also said, "I don’t want to kill." So what did we go through? What am I supposed to say or do now? I’ve lost my sense of right and wrong. You killed for us, and you did it in front of me. What am I supposed to think now? I swear, I’ve lost all sense of what's right. Cihan: There was no other way. There comes a moment when one is willing to walk through hell for the sake of those they love.
Alya: Years later, just as I was starting to admit how much I loved her, I lost her. She is gone when I needed her the most, when I needed to hold her close and be embraced. Do you remember what she said to me as she was dying? She said, “Don’t be late to love, Alya.” Because I was very late in telling her. I was too late to tell my mother I loved her. And on top of that, you came to the mansion wounded, shot. What if you had died? Are we going to live like this forever? Do we deserve this life?
The way he raises his head after realizing what that line means gets me every time.

Hi. So I’m new to dizi world but was super into US as you know. In a few of your posts, you mentioned things about backstage stuff and actor representatives having script input. Apparently, it seems common, but I don’t understand how or what. In trying to figure it out it seems to be around pregnancy plots. Can you explain what this is all about? Is it just assumptions or have things happened in other shows that makes it likely that it could be what’s going on with US. Also, sorry if this question doesn’t make sense. I don’t know what I don’t know.
In Turkiye, the manager agencies are even stronger than the producers. This situation kind of born after tv shows had been sold to other countries. Some actors are known better abroad, some gain sponsors, some have strong back-ups etc…when these agencies have such "important actors" they use them as a negotiating factor. The producers know they might need these actors, so they have to get along well with the agencies to be able to hire them. This is also why we have to see some talentless, annoying actors being constantly casted in most of tv shows even though their tv shows flop. It doesn't matter, the producers need to sell tv shows, because this is the best way to make money since the ratings don't bring enough money these days. So A actor doesn't have popularity in Turkiye, but is very well known in another country. They cast him, the show gets average rating, it gets canceled but is sold to 27853162645 countries, so it is a win for them. Also tv shows are very long, they cut one episode into half and sell it as two episodes. So more episodes mean more products to sell and it's important to drag the show out.
As for Uzak Şehir, the show has the highest ratings of the season right now. Every agency sees this show as a good promotion stage. It doesn't matter what the role is, be it minor or bad…people know the actors even though their characters are annoying. So if one doesn't want to leave even if their role ends, the agency factor comes into play. And you know the rest of the story…
I think that something happened around the time episode 18-19-20. You see, the pregnancy plot has so many plotholes, even normal, ordinary viewers thought the baby was from somebody else, because it was too illogical. The writer even saw how it didn't make sense and had to write later that she was four months pregnant. But she doesn't look like four months pregnant. Uğur was the most important person and should have been the one who revealed the secret however he died, his "sooo powerful family" suddenly vanished and Mine became the key character…Inconsistency is so obvious, it looks like the story was changed in a very annoying way.
The character may leave or die, I don't care, she got what she wanted. From 20th episode to 28th episode, this character changed so many things and we had to put up with her nonsense. It's a shame honestly.

Hey ☺️
I just want to say that I'm glad you're back with your posts! I hope your excitement is back too 🥰
Love reading your perspective on Cihan and Alia scenes! Can't wait for the second season. I hope they won't ruin it with some nonsense plot.
What's your opinion on this pregnancy thing? 🫣 For how long they will keep it?Do you think that the baby will be born? Is this a usual thing in Turkish drama?
These days I found many bad comments on social media about "kiss scene". I really don't know what people expected, for me kiss was appropriate considering the circumstances and how ther marriage started.
What your opinion? Same people say that the actors were too stiff and unnatural. But I think they did their job very well 😃
Once again thank you very much!
Lots of love and best wishes! ❤️
Hi! Thank you, lots of love too. 💙
As long as I feel something good about the show, my excitement won't fade away however even in the season finale, there were times when I felt ick. Since episode 20, I have always had this feeling unfortunately. The pregnancy trope should end asap, it's ruined many things already, I don't know how long we can put up with this.
It is common unfortunately, it's kind of the most annoying means to prolong -and ruin- successful tv shows. It's shitty, horrible, but you can't escape it.
There might be three options about the baby situation.
1st, they may try to pull off Asmalı Konak. This was the first tv show where this clan-mansion-traditonal man vs modern woman tropes were used. The male lead was a clan leader, fell in love with a modern woman, they got married, lived in a big mansion with his family members, there was a housemaid who was obsessed with him and when he was younger he spent one night with her, she got pregnant, she gave a birth to a son but he never acknowledged him as his son, the girl was married off someone else but continued living in the mansion and tried to ruin the main couple's marriage at first. Then the writer turned her into a good character and the female lead and her became closer but the male lead still didn't see that boy as his son even though he provided momeny for the boy to be raised well. It was a horrible tv show but very successful back then.
So the writer is very well aware of the fact that Mine is disliked by everybody however if they can't get rid of the actress they may try to soften her character and make the viewers accept her and the baby. Which would be the most difficult thing a writer can manage, honestly, because I don't give a f.ck if she is a good character or not.
2nd option, the baby is born, Mine dies. So Alya will become a mother figure to Cihan's son, just how he is a father figure to Deniz. Which would be annoying as well, because wtf people would like to watch such thing, I don't know.
3rd option, if they can't get rid of the actress, she has a miscarriage but continues being annoying, which would be fine.
I don't want to think another option which would be her and the baby being the main cast and our couple being constantly tried by these problems. The show would be ruined irreversibly, I think. If the writer thinks that this can be their new obstacle, their new conflict source, I suggest her not to try this at all, because it's hella uncomfortable even right now, so just imagine how worse this might get.
Social media will never get better, don't let them ruin your fun. I found the kiss very in character and emotional. I wrote why they kissed like that. And honestly, I know people can expect to see some real adult stuff, but intimacy scenes are never my first concern, they can kiss like there's no tomorrow, or they may kiss very vanilla, I don't care as long as it's not out of character.

Alya: You worked so hard to protect him. You really tried. Cihan: I did try, but he got lost in his own decision. Hopefully, this girl will be a lifeline for him to hold on to life, and he'll cling to it tightly. What else can I say? Alya: Yes, but the branch he clings to by force, the hand he holds by force — that hand might let go one day, or even he might. Cihan: Unfortunately, sometimes it all starts like that — forcefully. With hatred. Out of necessity. But people often hold on to the very place they try hardest to run from. Time will show everything anyway. Eventually, it will even show whether the hand you're holding on to will let go or not.
He is like, damn, I created a monster. I thought I was the only subtle one here.
Alya learnt it very fast. They can really go on this dance forever.
He said that if she left, it would be worse than anything his mother had ever done to him. Alya knows exactly what her presence means to him. He's hinted, again and again, that he needs her. And now, she's telling him - what he's clinging to might not always be there. Either that hand might let go, or he might end up letting go himself. Maybe not by choice, maybe because he'll be forced to.
And his answer? It's simple, almost stubborn: “It doesn't matter how it started, or why. You can't run from me. I couldn't escape these feelings, and neither will you. This is not a necessity anymore, I will never let go of your hand, you'll see it.”
He's a hopeless romantic, what can I say? That grounded, logical man becomes completely blind to reality when it comes to her.
Do you feel the tightness in his chest every time she dares to speak of leaving him? I absolutely loved it. His pain was so obvious in this episode.
And the way he looks at her ring…

Alya: The trauma team will be here soon. They'll take a look, maybe do an X-ray. Let's see if it's broken or just a fracture. Though… it's kinda obvious. Cihan: Obvious? Then why don't you check? Alya: Am I your personal doctor now? Cihan: Well, that would be great actually. You always manage to heal me anyway. I mean, both as a doctor… and... as a doctor, of course… Alya: Alright then, get over there, patient. Women's exam room. Cihan: At least lock the door so I won't be embarrassed.
They play doctor and patient, wonderful.
Like, in every occasion, they flirt.
And of course he says something that makes her heart melt.
Alya: Take off your shirt. Undress. Cihan: Undress? Alya: You're in front of a doctor, Cihan. I'm asking you to undress with complete professional seriousness. Cihan: Well… That really put me at ease, Doctor. Thank you—deeply comforting.
There will be a day you don't wait for the command, mister. And gladly will help each other. I trust you guys.
Cihan: Joking aside… we've really been through a lot, haven't we? You took out a bullet, stitched me up… and now you're checking my ribs. Alya: Well, you don't exactly stay out of trouble. Cihan: Right? Alya: Exactly. Cihan: Still… despite everything, we've made it this far. Somehow.
Relationship goals: Find a guy who reminisces about the moment you shot him very fondly.
The guy finds their relationship fascinating too. Tell me about it!
Goneeeerr for her…her pinkish cheeks…
Alya: It's going to hurt for a while. Cihan: I'm always in pain anyway. The pain never really goes away—this is just one of the visible ones. I've gotten used to it by now.
I loved the music that started playing before this part. It's so touching, they occasionally use this melody, I just adore it.

Hi ! What do you think about Cihan and Alya’s kiss ? I really want to learn your opinion.
Didn’t like actors kissing . I have nothing against actress.
Hi! Maybe everbody had different expectations, I respect your opinion. I am not disappointed because I didn't expect a passionate or a full open mouth kiss when he was just trying to convince her not to go. It was such a daring move for Cihan, so there was surprise, uncertainty, plea in it. She could not kiss him back feverishly either. It was just a "moment" of surrendering to their feelings.
Also since Deniz is with them, the audience might have found "too much" or "fanservice" if it had been more passionate. Ordinary viewers just wanted to see a "reunion/confession" moment. And they gave that. I am pleased and liked the kiss.

I don’t understand how just because the Hamada they thought was dead wasn’t the real one, and thus Nadim isn’t the killer… how did they automatically assume the real killer was Ecmel from there? I didn’t get that part, can you explain? Like I know as an audience we know cuz Ecmel had the real Hamada killed… but in the market after Alya says that is the real Hamada, why does Cihan immediately jump to Ecmel? Or did I miss something?
Also, was I the only one who thought Sadakat was out of character this episode? She was softer and it feels like they made her that way for this episode only to make Cihan’s new strength effective? I found it odd that she accepted Cihan’s ultimatum without attacking Alya when she had just done that in the last episode … either way I’m glad she actually listened for once🙄
One last thing, I am SO EXCITED for Sadakat to turn her bile on Mine finally 🥳🥳🥳 like you saw the murder in her eyes as Alya/Deniz are leaving … that woman is DONE… neither Sadakat nor Cihan will let her go without some kind of punishment… which also begs the question, how are the writers planning to handle this? Cuz I don’t know how that woman can stay around now that she’s threatened Cihan’s first son? Maybe it’s a catch 22 cuz she’s pregnant? Idk ughhh I hope she dies or is gone soon… the fact that she’s 4 months pregnant makes me think they won’t do a time jump but I could see Sadakat waiting for the baby to be born and then trying to kill her 🤷♀️ what do you think??
Halis said to Cihan he told two people Boran's whereabouts: Nadim and Ecmel. The fake Hamada/Amada? said it was Nadim. When they saw they caught the wrong guy, they understood it couldn't be Nadim, somebody wanted them to think so. That somebody can only be Ecmel in this case because this is the only option left.
She should have gotten softer before, you're right. Probably it was because Deniz almost got injured very bad. Deniz is just a kid, Alya can see Sadakat's tricks and traps but he can't. It's obvious he will get hurt. So Cihan snapped and she understood she crossed the line.
Yeah, at least Sadakat knows what she has done. Mine doesn't expect anything I guess. She just wants to get revenge. But at this point, I feel like she is untouchable, for obvious reasons. Everbody got their karma, except her. It's weird.
