first day in ny:

got here! My uncle picked me up and we went back to his place. The only thing that annoys me abt it is that the bathroom doesn’t have a sink so we have to use the one that we use to wash dishes🫩 AND it’s right next to the door to enter the apartment. But whatever! I also got a present. I’m going to Cabaret at the Kit Kat Klub on Broadway in two days! Super excited.

then we went to Chinatown. There’s this one restaurant that has the best Tofu fucking ever chat. We also went to this re-sale area that was super cool. Someone was wearing a hat that looked like a shoe almost.

we came back and got ice cream. Then we watch the first episode of season 3 of Ginny and Georgia and episode 6, season 1 of Haikyu. I love and hate Ginny and Georgia oml. Tomorrow: Steve Madden showcase thing and going to The Row (my favorite and least favorite brand ever I’ve analyzed it so many times)

the human brain is complex and it's hard to genuinely find art that fucks with my mind so profusely it makes me question all the choices and perspectives I've formed so far in my life — mind fuck movies and books itch that corner of my brain and idk make me FEEL so much — it's addicting ???

I don’t know many movies that get under my skin like that, but Black Swan is my favorite — the body horror hits me so hard I start feeling it in my own body, like the film’s breaking me open from the inside — all because the art is so gorgeously, disturbingly directed. i guess that's my take on why so many people obsess over horror and psychological thrillers.

that’s gorgeous but FUCKKK no. literally even at the Oscars when they had the opening intro to who was hosting and it essentially did it in a body-horror way. I know that makes no sense. Sorry. But it makes me wanna barf. But I’m glad it makes others think hard and feel involved
