Barry Allen should have stayed dead. It's the only thing worth remembering about him.
DC hot takes and headcanons that would get a portion of the fandom thirsting for your blood if they knew you held this belief, 2.0!
I was surprised by the results of my previous poll, so time to make some more waves!
I plan on doing a few more of these, and doing something with the results of all of them.
Again, some of these are my anti-takes, so no coming to try to feast on my soul!

I see X-fans continue to be insufferable twats.
Here's a thought keep off the Avengers tags.
If we’d have a full episode of Rogue beating sense into the Avengers I would watch it. Heck if we’d have a whole season of Rogue reminding them fist after fist that silence is compliance I would eat up every second of it.

Being a Marvel fan can be weird and a bit of a struggle because people will be like, “Oh, so you like [insert character here]? Do you like the comic version or the MCU version better?” and I’m just like
“How do I explain that the character that I like isn’t from just one source? How do I explain that they’re a mixture of all of my favorite qualities and characteristics found in every source of Marvel media I can get my hands on, from the comics to the movies, to the animated series and to every great fanart and fanfic I’ve seen? How do I explain how I’ve pulled pieces of the different versions of this character and created a new design in my head that is similar to the others but not quite the same? How do I explain that I enjoy a certain part of the character’s canon in one source, but will disregard another piece of canon and replace it with something I like from another source. I don’t just like the character, I’ve reconstructed them to something that the movies and comics don’t get. Maybe they’ll never get it. Some parts of the fandom gets it. We’ve all reconstructed the characters in a certain way, recreating but not stripping away what defines the characters we love. I know them in a way you never will.”
But I’ll never really say anything thing that unhinged, so I’ll resort to, “A bit of both, haha.”

I always did enjoy his character progression under Busiek and Nicieza.

Zemo would have you believe that he's some kind of calculating criminal mastermind. In reality most of the time he's a zonked out idiot with the worst daddy issues on the planet.

Don't you "HEY BUDDY" me. If you read my reblog, my focus was on IDW failed attempt at organically incorporating the two franchises, not your "durp hurr American military bad" like a bad onion headline .
Calling out the military should always be valid but not if it means being the majority focus. Larry Hama most famous g.i. joe writer criticizes the military in his run yet it's still beloved by Joe fans. Don't give me that b.s.
IDW we're to busy pushing Tumblr ships and bragging about "I made gay robots kiss" on Twitter to realize dwindling drop in sales.
As to g.i. joe trying to appeal to readers abroad I'm not holding my breath but it seems to be on the right track of good quality.
One thing I love about IDW is that GI Joe were never heroes and soldiers at the same time under their pen. Individual members (such has Hashtag, eventually) could do good and heroic things, but most of the time the organization caused more harm than good.
"We don't need to like our orders, we just need to obey them."
The fact the organization's founder became their greatest enemy out of bigotry and paranoia was just the cherry on top.
Then there's the IDW2 GI Joe continuity, where most of the team are civilians fighting back against a fascist regime after Cobra takes over the world.
None of them are soldiers, and the military that is GLORIFIED in most other incarnations of the franchise is the enemy they need to take down.
The Energon Universe could stand to take notes from THAT version of the franchise. Then at least following the GI Joe spin-offs to understand what's going on with the Transformers wouldn't feel like homework.

Or maybe more reasons for skybound to learn from IDW blunders.
For them to figure out how to integrate G.I. joe and transformers organically will be the real test. And not make the same mistake as their predecessors.
