Happy late pride month! I wanted to make this sooner but I've had a busy month so I'm posting this late. I didn't even color it.
And for those confused by why some characters are missing- that's because I either didn't make headcanons for them yet, or they're still questioning.
Remember, there is no rush, take all the time you need to discover who you are. I know it can be frustrating to not know and that's okay.
Anyway, enjoy!

I didn't do hunters cuz 1. Busy month like I said. 2. I don't have a lot of headcanons for them, I mostly focus on the survivors.
(also I'm trying my best to not do the same face syndrome, I hope I'm doing okay : ) )

The yearning + admiration is strong I think. Especially when Richard would play so well into Kurt psyche (and vise versa).
Richard’s persona is so ‘cool’ I’m afraid even Kurt might get a bit nervous sometimes (or maybe he’s just a bit smitten?)
They could still be everything to each other, but for their psychological health, they should stay FAR away from one another actually..

Happy Mother’s Day!
Since I’m still stuck in Midsummer Misty Mountain hell, I wanted to comment on the two one mother really mentioned in the event, that being (Qi Shiyi) Bai Ze’s mother.
✨Recap✨
From what we know, Bai Ze’s mother loved bellflowers and came from Changchuan. She died during an internal feud in the family (this feud was centered around the decision to pass down the ‘Scroll of Bai Ze’ to a female heir rather than a male) and she is the link between Bai and (Wu Chang) Master Yin Yang’s side of the family, making them distant relatives.
While the original Qi Shiyi had lost her entire family at a young age, the influence they had on her is still shown through her actions to avenge them as well as her considerations for their wants and wishes for her (though Qi knows the life she has been leading isn’t what they would have wanted..)
In the Midsummer event, Bai’s family haven’t been executed, though her mother and father are dead. Even so, the story still takes the time to show how much Bai cares about them.
Under the description for the [Bellflower] it states that the first thing Bai Ze would do after arriving in Changchuan was scatter her mother’s ashes in accordance with her wishes, and since her mother loved bellflowers, Bai would sow them throughout the mountain in honor of her.
(A small detail I want to add here is that one of Qi’s tablecloths has a bellflower design on it)
I thought this was really sweet. Crane says that Bai never mentions anything about her family, and that she doesn’t reveal her true emotions to others, and while we do learn more on both of these eventually, I love how Bai’s actions always communicate her underlying care for those important to her, even if she doesn’t always say it.
Similar to the original Qi, Bai deals with the fact that the life she leads isn’t necessarily ‘peaceful’, ‘free’, or ‘stable’ as her parents wished.
Though we know Bai definitely considers their wishes, we also know they were both an inspiration and huge influence on her, and that Bai believes it’s only natural for her to inherit their spirit when her mother and father chose to, “give up their lives for justice and integrity,”
While Bai believes they would be upset if they could see her now, she continues on with her life and work because of them- rather than in complete spite of them.
Her respect for her mother can also be seen through Master Yin Yang, who stands as the last member of his side of the family. Despite being enemies and fighting at the end of the event, Bai is said to show “respect and mercy” towards stuff involving him as a result of their relationship. Even August is able to pick up on Bai’s feelings of pity (not friendliness or hate..) towards Master Yin Yang. (I can’t ignore the parallels between what happened with of Master Yin Yang’s family -> all dead, some from the earthquake but most committed suicide - and original Qi Shiyi’s -> all dead, executed…
I can understand why she pities him, especially as he searches for a way to resurrect his loved one. I could talk about how Midsummer had a theme of loss (of family, of self, of life, of will, of memory, etc) but that’s for another time))
All in all, I said this before but I think Bai’s relationship with her family and actions with respect to her mother are really sweet, and I think the way it influences the life she leads now, alongside her relationships, and what it reveals about her own character is really neat.
✨Bonus✨
The only other mother mentioned is August’s mom, and a small thing I found to be kinda interesting (but may not necessarily mean anything) is how Bai (and everyone + everything focusing on her) refers to her mom as ‘mother’ while August is the only character to refer to his mother as ‘mom’.
I only point this out mainly for the tonal difference and reflection it could have on their backgrounds/childhoods, but that’s a conversation for another time maybe.

🌸 From One Mother’s Heart – Please Read 🌸
My name is Saja. I’m a wife, a mother, and a woman who once believed her story would be simple. I thought my days would be filled with watching my daughter grow — from her first smile to her first steps — surrounded by the small joys of everyday life.
But life had other plans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
War has returned to our home. Again. And once again, we find ourselves living under skies that never seem to rest.
There was a moment — a fragile, breathless moment — when the bombs paused and the world seemed to remember us. It gave us hope. We thought maybe, just maybe, we could start to rebuild. But now, we are back in the dark — hiding, holding on, praying.
I’m writing this not as someone seeking pity, but as a mother who has no other choice but to speak.
Imagine holding your baby in the middle of the night, not because she cried, but because the world outside roared too loud for either of you to sleep. Imagine whispering bedtime stories not to lull her into dreams, but to keep the fear from settling into her tiny bones.
This is my life.
This is my daughter’s life.
And even now — especially now — I believe in softness. I believe in kindness. Because when everything else is taken from you, hope becomes the most valuable thing you have.
Why I’m Reaching Out Our home has been damaged. Our lives changed. But through it all, my daughter wakes up every morning with a smile. She reaches for me with trust, with love, with faith that I will keep her safe.
That’s why I keep going.
I’ve launched a campaign to ask for help — not because it’s easy, but because silence is no longer an option. I am asking for support not just for me, but for my baby, and for the quiet strength of so many mothers like me who are fighting, every single day, to hold their families together.
How You Can Help: 🤍 Help us restore parts of our home so we can live with dignity 🤍 Support women and mothers in Gaza with access to care and resources 🤍 Keep the light of hope alive for a generation born in the shadows of war
💛 If you can, please support our journey here:
If you can’t give, please consider sharing. Your voice might be the reason someone else hears ours.
From My Heart to Yours Maybe our lives are worlds apart. Maybe you’ve never lived through war. But if you’ve ever held a child and wished the world could be better for them — then you understand more than you know.
I don’t want my daughter to grow up thinking the world turned away.
Please, if you’ve read this far — thank you. Thank you for seeing us. Thank you for caring. We are still here. Still hoping. Still holding on to every kind act like it’s a lifeline.
With love and endless gratitude
