i'm such a big fan of laios using being well fed as proof that he's serious. like there's so many techbros & etc who will use not eating breakfast as proof that they're productive & just in general, the idea of being "too busy to eat" is getting more common (which is exactly what toshiro is doing here!) but laios is like. no. i'm so serious about this i'm thinking about what comes next. i'm so serious about this i'm making sure my body can do everything it can when i need it.

the fact that everyone in the party took care of themselves & carefully planned out their route & when they'd take breaks is what made them so successful. they always made sure to understand their limits

Hello to everyone

Ever since I heard that Lies of P was in development I've been very interested in playing it. The little problem I'm in now is that I didn't know it was inspired by Dark Souls an Dark Souls alike.

What's the problem? you may ask, well the thing is that I have never played anything like Dark Souls or Bloodborne in my life, because I know my place and that is far away from these games because I know I'm not good at them (believe me I know I'm not only bad at them, I know I suck at them).

So I find myself here asking, do you recommend it for someone who just isn't good at it, but is interested?

The Japanese otome publisher announced overnight three new otome games for the Nintendo Switch—all three will be available in English and Japanese. The Corrupted Reindeer

A couple wips of my favorite character from the whole game. And I may be biased because I got to create him from scratch.

Work started with concepts. Skábma’s earlier game version already had a corrupted reindeer (as seen on the right in full color) but it needed some revamping so I ended up throwing a bunch of ideas of what the new reindeer could be like.

We ended up liking the more standard four legged one the most. And I’m glad we did because that head full of antlers looks wicked!

I first sculpted the character (on a rather blocky lowpoly model) and then did a retopo. The antlers, understandably, took me a long time finish. I didn’t need to do any texturing since he got his own tar shader material in Unity.

Other than that, it was slapping him a rig, doing skinweights and then finally getting to the best part: animation!

The basic walk and run cycles were pretty fun to do. And ofc the game’s last cutscene where he is on more shaky legs!

Any conspiracy theory about people going missing in National Parks is automatically silly to me. Like "Why are National Parks such a hotbed of disappearances???" because they're full of idiots. You've got thousands of people who've never pissed outdoors in their life wandering around the woods/desert/mountain with zero experience and zero gear and zero understanding that this place can kill them. You don't see as many disappearances in wild areas because people don't go to them unless they have some background knowledge. Whereas you get tour buses full of old folks and suburban families shuttling people into National Parks 365 days a year. If you took the same amount of buffoons and dropped them in the actual wilderness the disappearances would be significantly higher than at the parks. Use your brain.

Theres a ton of inspiring game devs (and actual game devs) on this site and this is a message for them

Please include wheelchairs in customization. Include player characters who are in wheelchairs. I'm begging you.

There are less than a handful of playable characters in wheelchairs I can think of (and most of them are ableist haha funny characters like the guy from happy wheels)

I promise you, any extra work that needs to be done to make them playable IS worth it. I don't give a fuck if its not realistic. Most people can't fling fireballs in real life either.

Like I've seen prosthetics, I've seen glasses, when I've brought up wheelchairs to devs they say the best they can do is braces and maybe crutches or a cane. Maybe a hearing aid.

I've SEEN the amazing stuff that can be made, and I'm tired of devs whining that it's too hard. It's too late to add something that complex. Well maybe you should've thought about wheelchairs in the early stages instead of adding representation as an afterthought.

The only time we are thought of is when its a horror game or for a fucking joke.

Eros and Psyche IF

TAKE MY SOUL is an 18+ IF game being written in Twine. It's a retelling of the famous story of Eros and Psyche, just... with a few new added twists and turns!

Your sisters married off quick, you didn't. It was hard, harder than necessary for your parents to marry you off. Everyone seemed to kneel at the presence of your beauty but ended up never wanting to stay long enough for something to form.

You were practically a trophy for rich nobles to flaunt around. Cupid had failed you with this one.

Customize YOUR own Psyche! Play as female, male, non-binary; straight, bisexual, pansexual, gay; asexual, and even, touch-averse! What hobbies should you have? What beliefs? What religion?

Follow the way the myth is supposed to unfold, or break away and create what you think should happen. Who said the minor god needed to get the person?

Find love in Cupid, or maybe even their mom?

Play as quite literally, one of the most beautiful people roaming Earth

Deal with your two obnoxious older sisters who only want to flaunt their husbands in your face

Enrich yourself in a story filled with new paths at every page and a whole ton of flavor text!

Have the occasional switch of POV, with the starring guest of Aphrodite, the Orcale?, and even your own love interest

CUPID

The god of love, albeit a minor one, but a god nonetheless. You've never seen them, as Eros likes to stay hidden whilst casting their arrows. But, from what your tutors teach you, they have these massive angel wings that preen out whenever they get into something mischievous. Cloth wraps around their naked body, Eros doesn't leave much to the imagination. However, in some readings, Eros is depicted as a female with hip-length black hair, while in others, the male version likes to keep it cropped and out of his way.

this is a draft! more romances may be introduced in the future, but currently, im sticking with Eros
