Trying To Be An Adult
I have many things going right for me, but being an adult is such an immense responsibility. I don’t know if I earn enough to pay the bills, and I don’t know how I’m going to ever afford things I want (like holidays and a house). I thought that having a job meant that I can finally spend (more) freely, but I guess I’m wrong.
One step at a time right?

A Short Update
1. I still spend too much time working and too little time with my loved ones.
2. My birthday is coming up. I hate the spotlight (e.g. I hate it when people gather around to sing me a birthday song) so not many people know when it is. But this year, I feel a little blue - over the years I lost touch with most people who know when my birthday is. Also another reason to feel sad is the fact that I have work on that day AND they just called for a lunchtime meeting. Ew.
3. I do have a fitness routine now, I think.
4. I miss my friends a lot.

It’s funny because it all made sense at first. It’s attractive to have someone to “protest” against whatever candidates usually stood for. Having a host of different voices and viewpoints is good for the nation.
But let’s take a closer look here - he never intended to get the White House. It was never his intention to (until now, since it is within is reach). Here we have people who spent years in politics, years working for past presidents, years working with past presidents, and you would think experience like these are critical to gaining America’s trust.
But no, Donald Trump makes racist and misogynistic comments and gets away with it.
When I first read her letter I was really glad to know that there are people out there who realize that the whole “Trump for President” fiasco needs to stop. But then I thought about the many, many minds out there who still think he deserves to be President and feel a little sad and hopeless on the inside.

Great analysis of politics here!
However, if what I know is true, voting patterns are extremely hard to predict. Put the top minds together and we still might not get it right.

A great read.
Here are my thoughts on this year’s elections.
1. Even though I am a supporter of Bernie Sanders, I think Clinton is going to represent the Dems to contest Donald Trump.
2. Donald Trump is not representative of the Republican party, and should not be seen as a republican even though he is running in that party’ name.
3. The U.S. elections will have an impact on the rest of the world. What happens to Asia - our students, workers, politicians?
4. As much as sexism sucks, the world is sexist. Clinton is a woman, and I think she stands no chance against a rich white man who knows how to give the media their soundbites.
I hope I look back at this post and realize that all my predictions are wrong. But for memory’s sake, I’m predicting Clinton VS Trump with Trump winning.
(Please let me be wrong)

Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles and kindness, and small obligations given habitually, are what preserve the heart and secure comfort.

A very important article for those struggling with dealing with abusive parents. It’s really easy to rationalize what to do but sometimes, closing the door can be difficult.

Would you read this version to your kids? I did not know about the part where it is painful for her to walk. Ouch.
