I’m not 16 anymore yet I still see her in the mirror. Her carefree eyes still bore into my soul and her long hair still blows in the wind of a summer long over. I still laugh like her, play like her, dress like her, but I am not her. She is free to a time I can never go back to and yet find myself unable to leave.

The world sees me as an adult but in my mind I am still 16 and late to French class.
