Really just enjoying sketching that that more precise and expressive look that hands seem to have and trying to get them to look simplified enough while still retaining their humanity. I’ve been absolutely screaming this song on my way home from swordfighting at the moment, it’s well and truely in my skull and I adore it.

Another low effort quick daily sketch. Head was EMPTY when I sketched this out and it really shows so I feel I need some redemption in my next one. Either way it’s getting posted and let’s be real I’m really only sketching these because I have the sudden want to change my hair. Time to draw a bunch of self portraits in various haircuts to see what I like.

Trying to incorporate more lyrics into these ones, I so genuinely hope people pick up the vibe I was going for trying to bring in the universes and broken hands. One day the wrong person is going to see these, and I’ll likely have to die of shame, but for now these are fun and silly little pictures that ultimately mean nothing except act as fun exercises of quick creativity while I’m reading software manuals at work.

This one is a little busier than my last one, not a nice or as clean but still fun. I think I need to back up on the lyrics. Do less, be more purposeful with my little drawings but either way a fun little exercise in line art and blocking.

Another character design clean up from that one campaign I did a heap of character sketches for that the client never saw. I love this one, I remember absolutely nothing about the character, a barbarian of some kind with a never ending magic bag. Absolute vibes.

These are some D&D character designs I redrew based on a campaign I did some work for last year. I don’t think the client ever saw any of the designs I did (there were A LOT of designs I did, I sketched nonstop for three days and made like 60. What a bummer) but these were two of my favourites so I thoughts I’d give them a little redraw as to avoid ownership issues and clean them up a bit. I’ve been super inspired by some of the art I’ve seen online at the moment. Makes me want to knuckle down and do some more art studies.

Farewell Wanderlust

I can’t wait until my Spotify wrapped comes out and asked me if I’m doing ok because all I did was almost exclusively listen to The Amazing Devil’s entire discography every day for six months straight.

It is some absolutely life ruining mind altering soul destroying music I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to and I will continue listening to those albums until either it becomes or unlistenable to me or I die. At this point I should just buy the CDs because it’s becoming a bit much.

Unrelated but here is my daily sketch, this time channel king that Art Nouveau Movement Alphonse Mucha style because his art is maybe the best thing ever and if I could live my life only looking at Alphonse Mucha’s art and listening to the Amazing Devil I think I would die very very happy.

Messer instead of a longsword this time since we did Messer at sword-fighting last week and it was so genuinely fun.
