I’d like to talk about the untapped potential of making Odysseus completely batshit insane. Yes, sure, he’s a storyteller, good with words, a charismatic advisor… But I want to see him as an insonmniac, running on two hours of rest, talking to himself to visualize strategies, with nervous tics. I want him so drugged on herbs for his headaches that his eyes are popping out of their sockets. In the last weeks of the war, his companions are terrified to approach him, and when he proposes the plan of the horse (the most brilliant and stupid ever conceived), the first thing Agamemnon tells him is to go to bed. Come on guys, let’s have some fun every now and then.

POV: you, M37, are sacking Troy, when a voice (prolly a god) comes booming in ur head sending you a premonition that you MUST kill the son of the prince of Troy. You, not being one to defy the will of the gods, listen, and open the door to the room the god told you housed your supposed target and see... Him. WWYD?

Okay guys don't worry it's actually a crack AU and Odysseus wont stay dead for long I just thought it would be funny to draw a really angsty art for a crack story

If you're curious what's happening here I actually have a post explaining this AU a little bit

✨OdyDio crack au summary✨

So me and my friend @sssona saw this prompt of Odysseus having a child in his head because both he and Diomedes were Athena's warriors and we made this crack au where Odysseus after giving birth to a daughter has postpartum depression and tries really hard to get rid of the child and so he comes up with different ways of trying to kill her but every time he almost succeedes a god of the domain shows up and gives her a blessing that would not allow her to die by this means (for example when Odysseus tried to drown her in the sea Poseidon showed up and gave her the ability to breath underwater so that she would never drown) because all the gods know that she's Athena's experiment and if something happens to her Athena will throw a fit and no one wants to deal with Athena's fits.

So yeah this is all just a bunch of crack of Odysseus trying to unalive their child Diomedes just being really tired and sleep deprived because of them and all the gods liking their daughter for no particular reason.

And when Odysseus tries everything he can think of and nothing works he becomes really desperate so he goes to Agamemnon and asks him for maternity leave, Agamemnon obviously refuses so Odysseus storms out of his tent to go to the shores and starts making himself a raft to sail back to Ithaca but he has a mental breakdown halfway through and then impulsively ties a rock to his neck and goes into the sea, then Athena shows up and they start to argue Epic style and then Odysseus accidentally slips and drops the rock but Athena doesn't notice it at first and when she realizes that Odysseus hasn't surfaced for too long he's already drowned, so Athena pulls his body out of the water and leaves it on the shore while she ventures into the underworld to ask Hades to give her her favorite labubu back and that's how Diomedes finds him dead

Don't worry tho Athena will return Odysseus back

Do you have a design for Amphilochus, son of Amphiaraus and brother to Alcmaeon? I believe he is also a prophet of sorts.

I was really inspired by @orthodera 's idea of albinistic Amphiaraus so I wanted Amphilochus to be an albino as well but he's really similar to Alcmaeon in appearance and his color palette is actually inverted Alcmaeon's

Achilles fans stunned with the sudden uptick of art of the Lord of Men in a dress. "I just didn't know he was serving like that, maybe I am on the wrong guy's side," one reports.

In other news, blogs are beginning to make waves in the medical field as more and more people are beginning to have sudden god-given epiphanies that Machaon is actually an interesting character. Many report waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, and feeling compelled to make a post about the famed son of Asclepius lest they themselves fall to illness. Researchers in the field are beginning to theorize that it may be a curse from Asclepius himself in recompense for the lack of offerings after the decline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some express regret at the breakthrough due to the disappointing revelation that most of the ponderings of the famed warriors of the past were about impregnating their generals.
