meet: Tala Tolentino (DC original character)

she’s a 13-15 filo girl & she’s cringe as HELL! to go along with that cringe, hal jordan is her mentor

based on the color scheme… she’s a green lantern—the picrew didn’t have the green lantern corporation uniform so i improvised with what i could!

as a green lantern, she is given the power from Her Ring to construct anything from her imagination (at least, that’s my understanding of the green lantern powers). shes a HUUGE anime fan so u can imagine the amount of power she has >:3 she does try to Protect Earth but her main goal is to Be a Magical Girl. she naruto runs in the air & makes moon prism power beams (which is really just her shooting lasers at everything) to be Sailor Moon. whenever she’s on intergalactic diplomacy mission she shares her precure fanfiction to the national government. she may be chosen as a guardian of our galaxy but she is here for whisminess Above All; which confuses the green lantern corporation

while she seems immature—AND SHE IS—the ring specifically chose her bc of her desire to unify people above all. for all her flaws, she does her best to get along with everyone. is she perfect? far from it but above all, she tries. she tries to reach out, regardless of Who You Are. and for the guardians, who have been PLAGUED with battles from various corporations. the desire for peace is important above all. and tala works hard to achieve that. it isn’t fun and it isn’t easy but it’s worth it, goddamnit. a peaceful galaxy is worth it to her. even if she’s never alive to see it… she hopes all that she achieves will be remembered within the stars
