Who would have thought… Filipe Duarte Pina and Diogo Vasconcelos are doing a Reddit AMA about Detective Case and Clown Bot latest game, The Express Killer, as well as overall Nerd Monkeys’ related stuff.

This feels a little bit weird because we’re so used to answering questions nobody asked us that usually escalates to security “inviting us” to leave the premises. This might actually be an interesting first! Are you as excited as we are? Can you ask us important and relevant questions or will we be bored to death?

The link to access it will be ama.nerdmonkeys.pt but it only becomes accessible 30 minutes before it starts. However, you can and should visit it so you can add it to your calendar. ;)

We are counting on the community to receive lots of interesting questions… and please… pleaaaaase don’t ask us where all the teeth are.

The sequel to the acclaimed Murder in the Hotel Lisbon adventure game is now a reality!

Detective Case and Clown Bot in: the Express Killer is an adventure video game entirely made in pixel art, for Windows, Mac and Linux. The Express Killer is the sequel to Murder in the Hotel Lisbon, out in 2013 and has, since then, sold more than 100.000 copies. It brings you back to the good old classic point and click adventure formula from the 80’s and 90’s. The game itself runs at a native resolution of 256x192.

With a price of 14.99€ / £12.99 / $14.99, The Express Killer will be available internationally in Portuguese and English on Steam, Valve’s digital store. It’ll come with the usual achievements, trading cards and due to the overwhelming love for the soundtrack, once again, the music was composed and recorded specially for Detective Case and Clown Bot and features classical orchestra and modern rock.

Detective Case and Clown Bot do not like 64bits!

In September “Murder in The Hotel Lisbon” will be taken out of Google Play and the App Store.

Yeap, these past three years of Detective Case and Clown Bot in your pocket were good but, like everything else, someday it must come to an end. The final date is schedule to the day Apple decides to update their OS exclusively for 64bits apps, we know that 32bits app will no longer be supported around September with the launch of the iPhone 8.

“But... but, why don’t you just update the game?” Sorry but it simply doesn’t make sense for us to do so. The vastly great majority of piracy is estimated by us to have happened with the mobile release of the game, in particular on Android, and that was certainly one factor for poor sales on those platforms. Continuing support for this project on mobile simply isn’t worth it, we rather put our efforts into the PC version, and if you want to play our game on mobile and are considering pirating somewhere, even those shady versions with ads we didn’t do, then just do it because we don’t really care.

So, regarding the PC version, this one will continue to be supported with the addition of a new episode called “The Express Killer”.

Until then, and to finish things in a cool way, starting June 1st you can buy the game for smartphones and tablets for just 0.99€

Nerd Monkeys is 4 years old today! We had cake and everything! Meanwhile we're getting ready for Games Finance Market at London Games 2017 to meet with investors and publishers and show them our newest project. :D

This was another Monkey Day, a day someone in the team is responsible to show everyone at Nerd Monkeys a list of currently playing games, personal influences or simply interesting/relevant games to play.

Today is the 3D artist’s birthday, so we celebrated with a traditional Birthday Chicken Leg in a very fire hazard environment. And yes! We did in fact ate the chicken.
