I’ve got 3 highlighters (blue, green, yellow), 5 mechnical pencils, 5 G2 0.5 pens, and a ton of colored pens for cute notes (light blue, dark blue, purple, pink, red, orange, and green!).

BACK TO SCHOOL GIVEAWAY 1: Leuchtturm1917

If you’ve spent 2 minutes browsing the Studyblr community, you will have read about bullet journaling. Since high school, I’ve loved the traditional planner style, but I’ve been converted to the bullet journal style of planning and notetaking. Not only can you exercise your creative muscles when creating pages tailored to your needs, but you can combine your to-do lists and tasks in one place. 

Kindly, Leuchtturm1917 sent me this dotted notebook to transform into the bullet journal of my dreams and review for you all. The notebook contains 251 numbered pages, a table of contents, and 12 perforated sheets at the back - perfect for sharing notes with your classmates. The 2 page markers make it really easy to find your most-used pages, and there is also an expandable pocket at the back to store loose pieces of paper. 

I’ve spent the last few days setting up this bujo for my upcoming Masters course, and I’m so excited to share them with you. I’m quite minimalistic when it comes to my weekly spreads - I know that I won’t have much time to make them really elaborate and decorative, so I’ve kept the weekly spread down to the basics. On the left-hand box is the events I’ve got that day, and on the right is a space for all of my tasks to do that day. Once I’m at university, I might find that I need to change the layout slightly to allow for more space for to-do’s, but that’s the beauty of a bullet journal - you can adapt to changes so easily! Whilst it’s great to admire the artistic talent of the amazing bujo’s shared in the community, remember that it does need to be functional and practical above all.

I’ve also included really useful pages. I found this essay-writing advice on Tumblr a while ago (I apologise for not crediting the original author - I couldn’t find it), and thought it would be really helpful to have it written out in my bullet journal so I can reference it when writing essays.

What are your goals for the semester or year?

I want to get all As for the first time in years! My grades always even out to As at the end of a semester but I want to eliminate that stress in general.

I want to put together the best college applications I can do! I need to ask my teachers for recs soon and begin seriously working on my essays

I want to get back into reading again. I’ve been really slipping on this one and it’s really hurting me! My speed is much slower than I used to be and it’s making me sad. 

I want to establish studying habits and routines so that I’m prepared for college and being on my own!

I want to try and make it to states for my History Fair project, I’ve been doing it since 6th grade and I’d love to make it farther.

4/100 Days of Productivity!

Hi all! This mess of numbers might not seem important, but it is the effort and work of a rather difficult lab for my online AP Environmental Science Class. It took 2 hours to not get tripped on all the numbers and then another hour and a half to write a proper lab report. I am pleased with the 100 I recieved on it though! I need to submit 4 more assignments by next Monday though to keep my spot, so I need to get crackin’ on that!

20 days back-to-school challenge!

hey lovelies! i just wanted to report that it’s been less than a month since i’ve reactivated this studyblr, and we’re already more than 550 and still growing. i love you all and appreciate you all, and if you’re ever having a bad day or need some help or want to chat, i’ll be here! 

on that note, i want to introduce the 20 day back-to-school studyblr challenge hosted by yours truly! i really need to post more original content and i hope that this will help as well :’) post photos or text posts answering these prompts, and don’t forget to tag #joystudie or tag me @joystudie! i’ll be following along (i’ll start my challenge on september 5th) and supporting everyone!

1. If you were a color, what color would you be?

Definitely a galaxy mix of purples, greys, pinks, and blues :)

2. If you could instantly become fluent in 3 languages, which ones would you choose?

Spanish, Arabic, and maybe German! 

3. Do you remember who your first crush was? Describe them.

My first crush was a boy in my 6th grade class and he had long hair and a cute round face. In that grade, breakfast had to be gotten at the cafeteria and then brought to your classroom, but my first period was a computer class so we ate at a table in the back of the class with a mutual friend. We called it the “Breakfast Club” and it was honestly so cheesy. It’s still cute now even with bad memories about that kid. 

4. What kind of learner are you? (visual, auditory, etc.)

Visual all the way! If I can read something or see it being done or a picture, I’m pretty much all set! 

5. What’s the one of your five senses that you absolutely could not live with out?

This is such a tricky one! I’d have to pick hearing because I love music and noises like rain too much!

6. Share the weirdest picture/meme you have on your camera roll right now.

7. Do you like your name? If you were to change it, what would you change it to?

I love my name! For my own privacy I won’t share it, but I do love it. 

8.  Favorite vine?

I’m a big fan of the one where a kid got hurt and he just goes “Mother trucker dude, that hurt like a buttcheek on a stick!” and the way he says has me rolling. I also really like “Come get y’alls juice” the kid just screaming as he slides is so funny but I feel a bit bad about that one.

9. Is there are certain song lyric that is special to you? Why?

I really can’t think of any right this second, oof :(

10. Describe your fashion style and why you choose to dress this way.

I mostly wear t-shirts and jeans for convenience and comfiness!

I really love the word statistical for whatever reason.

Absolutely! I always have a fan on, I would overheat if I didn’t

“What should I be doing for college?” I swear it feels like I’m the only one with any idea on what to do for college right now, i get asked lots of questions on it all the time.

6. Last movie you watched?

The last movie I watched was TAG with my aunt and my best friend. It was so fun and cute!

7. Where are you right now?

In my bedroom, of course!

8. What are you craving?

I’m craving tacos and goldfish, not together though. Just really want those foods!

9. Did you have a favorite stuffed animal growing up? If so what was it and what was its name?

I had 2! A rabbit named Floppy and a frog named Pookie! I still have them, actually. They sit in my room like a decoration :)

10. Did you go through fanfiction writing phase? If so what?

I did! I still get into it from time to time. I wrote for fandoms like Homestuck and MLP, maybe one day I’ll dabble in ATLA...

I haven’t done a milestone celebration in ages, and I intended to do one for 4K followers but just kinda missed my chance with all the drama that’s happened in my life in the past month. But everything’s gone back to normal now, and I’m really really excited to be able to celebrate 4.5k followers like..

Wow.. tHAT’S A LOT OF PEOPLE!! That’s literally half the people in my school,, which is CRAZY to even think about like wow,,, that’s really unbelievable,, just wOW. I know I say this a lot, but I really mean it - thank you all so much for any kind of support you’ve ever given me - whether that be liking my posts, reblogging them, sending a friendly ask or messaging me and saying that you’re willing to talk when I’ve been going through some rough times. Just thank you all so so so much. I don’t think my gratitude can be expressed in just a couple of words but seriously, I’m so thankful for everything that’s happened from my studyblr and wouldn’t change a thing.

So as a little thank you and a celebration, I’ll be doing some calligraphy for all of you!! Here are some examples of my calligraphy. 

I wouldn’t say I’m great at calligraphy, but it is a hobby of mine and this will be a fun way for me to practice while also giving something to you guys :)) I might do some of these digitally, because I could do with the practice (I’m actually so bad with doing calligraphy digitally because I don’t really know what I’m doing lolol)

Day 3/100

Hi guys! Today was my last high school open house and it’s pretty surreal. I’m officially 100%-can’t deny it anymore-senior!! Is anyone else freaking out as much as I am? 

I thought I’d show off my cute school supplies that I got all new from Target, except for two binders that I’m reusing from last year. The kit in the middle is so adorable! It has a mini stapler, staple remover, extra staples scissors, tape (with an extra roll), sharpener, and a hole puncher! I kinda screamed when I saw it. It’s such a cute addition to my supplies. The color scheme is vaguely pastel with a lot of pinks and blues! 

Of course I had to have my favorite pens! G2 .5 gel pens are my life and I love how my cursive looks in them! It doesn’t look like a whole lot but that’s only because a lot of my classes are handout based this year and quite a few are online!

Introduction, new studyblr

Hi!

My name is Saba (the second a is pronounced like the a in awesome) and this is an attempt to do a studyblr

The problem is, I’m very lazy & not very neat. So maybe this will be a very sad attempt at this. (For example, i used Microsoft paint to add the words in the picture above… lol)

But here I am!! I wanted to start a studyblr because I need motivation to do my homework, and study, and not give up. I also would love to meet new people :-)

I live in the United States

I’m fluent in spoken Persian (Farsi), but I can’t read well

I’m taking the SAT again in August and I’m filling out college applications
