So, I've been burying my head reading Maomao's diaries these past few weeks. I found the word lackadaisical used quite a few-lot times and suddenly thought of this lack of daisy sequence hahaha.

From my googling results, lackadaisical basically means lack of interest, spirit, determination, and is derived from lackadaisy. Lackadaisy is apparently an archaic interjection (abrupt remark, exclamation) used to express this sorrow or regret (albeit not from not having any daisies on hand).

I drew another infographic(?) poster literally illustrating song lyrics of Barasuara's Etalase! Love the song!

Boxes from top to bottom, left to right:

Bagai katak dalam tempurung, merasa besar padahal tanggung. I wanted to make the frog happy smug but finally changed froggy's expression to sad because the tempurung (shell/case) is too small for it's big, big self.

Kita adalah pameran dari ribuan kegagalan. You see, it's a type exhibit but the letters' (E-T-A-L-A-S-E) shapes failed to be read how it's supposed to be read.

Komparasi dan validasi, menu pokok setiap hari. Everyday's lunch consists of white rice, fried quail and chicken egg (which is apparently 1:5 in size lol, comparison), and those balls of like buttons like cherry tomatoes, other people's validation, haha.

Tidak sepaham langsung dikafirkan. One arrow in the middle going the opposite way used for the K for kafir!

Begitu rendah harga manusia. Dude's not dead by the way, look at the toe, dude's just on sale.

Semakin jarang untuk berkaca. The mirror's left alone for years, the only ones using it are dust and spiders.

Kita semua biasa saja, namun sulit mengakuinya. We're all ordinary, but not many will admit it. Being mediocre is fine by me, no need to stomp on my medal like that!

I freaking wrote this scene! Lol, but seriously, maybe everyone who has experienced it felt the same way. While I didn't say "I'm still a kid" like Hyemin, at twenty-six, my exact first words were "What about me? How am I supposed to live now?"

엄마 사진이 있으니까 엄마 얼굴은 오래 기억 하는데, 엄마 냄새는 진짜 빨리 까먹어. 그러니까 엄마 옷 같은 거 오래 잘 갖고 있고. 알았지?

And about the dialogue about mum's clothes... I wore my mum's shirt at her funeral. I think I packed my own clothes, but I don't remember why I didn't wear them. Her clothes I wore were the one we bought on the last day I met her. It smelled like her, well maybe it was the laundry perfume used by the laundromat at that time lol, but still, I recognised it as her's. I keep a lot of her clothes because I've been stealing her clothes since what, 7th grade or so haha. Last night I smelled them and they don't smell the same anymore, even the ones I've never worn! Maybe because they've assimilated the smells of my other clothes and my room :(

그레서 그런 거니까, 숨어서 울지 말고 슬픈데 웃는 척도 하지 말고. 너 하고 싶은 대로 다 해 알았지?

So that's why, you don't need to hide when you cry and don't pretend to be happy when you feel sad. Just do what you want to do, okay?

I wrote a cangkriman (Javanese riddle) that my grandma taught me when I was in primary school. I remember we were on a trip to a family gathering in another province and we were taking a break in the car, both of us sitting side by side. She said "Sega sakepel dirubung tinggi (a fist of rice covered in bedbugs), guess what it is." and when she told me the answer, I was wow-ed, thought that really made sense, I could picture it, lol, that I still remember it until today. The answer is salak, or snake fruit!

Anyways, I have this dumb theory about salak pondoh (that I've never looked up whether it's true or not). It's that if the adults (salak usually have two parent, the big ones with seeds, and a child, the small without seed one, fruit kind-of situation hahaha) have a crack on it, it means it tastes sweet, not the crunchy, green apple, type.

Character Design and Animation of Melody for part of a BTOB Fan Project, commissioned in 2024

Even though, even though, the event was canceled, and got added stress because we had to change the sequence of the whole video for another event, I'm still so fond of this tiny animation part. The Melody character design was based on (if anyone remembers) Ilhoon's random sketch of what was supposed to be a representation of all the Melodys hahaha and look at her wearing a concert merch polo! P.S. I actually don't know whether the members finally watched the final video or not lol

There's this webtoon that my friend and I read, Girl's World/Odd Girl Out/소녀의 세계 and in one episode, one of the characters, Mirae, drew other characters but as animals that represent them and Chanyang's family picture was so intense it cracked us up. This cat version of my friend isn't all that intense but anyways I still liked how this turned out!

It's when after Hiroto told Lion that his mother might still be alive and then they both looked at each other and then Lion suddenly attacks Hiroto while roaring cutely and Hiroto falls on his back huhu so cute...
