Alright folks I wouldn't call myself a die-hard swiftie but I've been seeing an insane amount of hate towards Taylor Swift fans and it doesn't sit right with me. Hating on someone for having an escape from this difficult world isn't cool.
I understand being tired of the overexposure and having your personal criticisms for Taylor Swift herself, I also understand not liking the fans who are rude or immature bc you happen to not connect with her songs (I've dealt with this kind) or defend her every step but thats a minority, although loud bc of the internet. Most of her fans span from ages 7 to 50 (she's been around for almost 20 years) They're mostly chill and are just rlly fucking passionate about music and lyrical parallels. The hate towards the entire fan base and the normalization of calling them names and wishing for their (to put it in lighter words) unwellness is quite literally vile. You could just say you don't understand the hype and move on (since it's what sensible adults do), otherwise you're just as obnoxious as that one specific group of die-hard fans you don't like.
Again, hating on someone for having an escape from this difficult world isn't cool. Also she has good writing in her songs and the respect and love for it was earned.
