Hey I just wanted to say with your T.O.P. Story the first part you write it as if y/n was pregnant and not the girl he cheated on y/n with. I didn't know if I read it wrong or something but I just wanted to let you know just in case I didn't.

scenario: you finally escaped a toxic relationship with choi seunghyun and made your debut as an actress. however, the past haunts you as you are reunited with your ex lover

PART ONE (X)

The huge bright light shined upon you as hundreds of camera clicks went off. You basked in the brightness and gave them a spin, showing off your exquisite ball gown. Your hand was placed strategically perfect on the hip that the fabric hugged so tightly. You couldn’t be happier in this moment where all your dreams were coming true. You belonged here amidst fellow artists and filmmakers. It would’ve been too hard to imagine yourself in this position two years ago, when you and T.O.P of Bigbang broke up.

The role you had taken in this film hit too close to home. Maybe that’s why you were hired, your emotions were raw; almost as if you had experienced it all yourself.

A tiny reporter waved, inviting you to do a quick interview before the awards ceremony.

‘Please explain your character to the audience a little bit’ he said. You gave a shy smile and started on the introductions. 

“My character in this film, Seoyoon, is a naive girl experiencing her first love. Unfortunately, she falls for the wrong guy. He cuts her a thousand times in ways you can’t imagine, yet cried as if he was was the one bleeding. It’s a very touching movie to say the least and it definitely changed me as an actor.”

You gave the answer that you had rehearsed a hundred times in front of your mirror. What you weren’t going to say was that you portrayed this role inimitably because you had experienced all of it first-hand with Seunghyun. The anger that raged inside you when he had left you to fend for yourself. The sadness when you realized it was a one sided love. The grief you went through when you had found out about his affair. Finally, the long battle you won with depression pressing down upon your neck after the official breakup.

However, you were a strong woman. You deserved better than a toxic, cold man like him. You couldn’t get back the things you gave away but at least you could create new things. A year after the breakup, you rose to stardom as Korea’s favorite female actress. The shelf at your new apartment was filled to the rim with awards and certificates. Talent was always hidden inside you, but you had put it aside to cater to Seunghyun’s career first.

You stepped away from the interviewer and walked inside the tall glass building. It was a magnificent sight and you were still in awe that you finally made it as an actress. As you were admiring the architecture of the place, you accidentally bumped into a tall figure in an expensive suit. You opened your mouth to apologize when suddenly your nose recognized that distinct scent. A wave of nausea and emptiness flooded over you at once making you stumble back in your heels. He turned around quickly enough to catch you before you fell. You wanted to whimper at the feeling of his large hands on your back, it had been too long since he had touched you.

Deep inside you knew that this day would come. You worked in the same industry and you couldn’t possibly avoid him forever.

“Y/N…” Seunghyun’s voice was low and vibrating. His eyes searched for yours so deeply as if he couldn’t believe it was really you. You stared back with the same intensity he held.

During your relationship you had always felt inferior to Seunghyun, that’s why you allowed him to push you around. At least that’s what your therapist concluded. Now you were both on the same playing field as equals.

You forced a smile and crinkled your eyes warmly. A whole new persona washed over you, the one you had spent two years building up piece by piece.

“It’s been a while, Seunghyun. How’s the family, Yeri and little Haneul?” your voice held a false optimism that he could easily detect.

Han Yeri was the woman Choi Seunghyun had cheated on you with during your relationship. Haneul was the little love baby they had created behind your back. It pained you to see such an adorable boy being held in the arms of your past lover; especially when you had imagined that if anything you were going to carry his child. The media had never known the relationship between you and Seunghyun, so it was a joyous event when he proposed to Yeri after their film together. How ironic that was called “Commitment”.

Seunghyun and you made uncomfortable small talk. A dark cloud was hung above you two and there was an obvious tension. The awkward moment was suddenly broken when your co-star came behind you and engulfed you in a cute back hug. He realized Seunghyun’s presence and apologized for the public display.

“T.O.P hyung, Y/N is so amazing! I am so lucky to have worked on this film with her. I don’t know where she has been hiding all this time with her immense talent.” your co-star kept gushing.

Seunghyun nodded along and gave you an acknowledging smile.

“Ahh, I seriously get chills whenever she delivers those harsh lines to me. It truly feels like she hates my guts. As if I would ever cheat on a woman like her!” he joked, giving Seunghyun a punch on the arm.

You wanted to laugh at the irony of this scene. The words he said held too much meaning to be taken lightly. Suddenly a large camera appeared and your co-star was begging you to do a reenactment of the breakup scene. You nodded and shot a look at Seunghyun, silently dedicating this piece to him.

You cleared your voice and gazed directly at the camera. It was possible that your eyes were piercing the lenses. Suddenly the floor was silent and the other actors turned your way to see Korea’s golden girl perform her role.

“I hope you love her,” you started. “I hope she gives you the things I couldn’t offer. I hope she makes you laugh the way I never could. I hope she makes you want to kiss and love her all night long. I hope that you lose her. I hope that you feel the same pain you put in my heart. I hope you cry at night, trying to hold the broken pieces of yourself together. I hope so because then you would finally understand how it felt when I thought you and I were forever, but you left me for her.”

Everyone fell into a dead silence before the room erupted in applause. You brushed away a small tear that had formed while you were talking. When you looked over at Seunghyun again, you realized that he had left.

The rest of the night carried on smoothly. You didn’t see Seunghyun until you were on stage receiving your award. You ended your acceptance speech with a dedication to all those in an abusive relationship, physically or mentally, and that everyone deserves better.

As you were walking towards the ladies room, a familiar hand caught your wrist. A disheveled Seunghyun appeared before you. You could smell the alcohol on him. Now you know where he had been. His mouth was asking for forgiveness while his eyes invited you in for another mistake. He complained of his wife and how she didn’t do the things you did and how it was terribly wrong of him to cheat on you. He spoke of how he wasn’t ready to be a father and that you would’ve been a better parent.

“I miss how happy I was when I was with you.” Before you knew it, he leaned in to crush your lips with his.

He tasted of cigarettes, tears and alcohol. You quickly pushed him away from you. Disgust riled up in your body, maybe this was how he approached Yeri two years ago. He was a married man now and you were a smarter woman.

“What part of we’re over don’t you understand? Go back to your wife before you lose her too. She may be the last person you have.”

Seunghyun sobered up at your words and apologized for his outburst. He quickly left the hall and disappeared out of your sight. You sighed in relief before slumping against the wall. You were a better woman now. The past you and the current you were different people even though they still shared the same heart and scars.
