Flower Language and Eternal love

Mitsuri Kanroji x Reader

Authors note: As I was writing a loki oneshot I was looking through flowers and their meanings. Having just rewatched demon slayer a sweet story came up. I tried keeping it as gender neutral as possible so everyone could enjoy it. 💜

Summary: You ran into mitsuri after running some errands and things change.

Gardenias= secret love

Purple tulips= eternal love

Lilies= pure everlasting love

The town market surrounds your senses as you walk through. You nod in passing to people you accidentally make eye contact with. Having finished your shopping you were leaving the town to head back to headquarters. You smile as you leave town feeling the hair clip you bought. As you're walking you are trying to figure out how to approach Mitsuri with it when you get back. You had finally left town and were in the woods and heard to your surprise Mitsuri call out to you.

___! Hello! What are you doing out here? Mitsuri smiles as she approaches.

Hello Mitsuri I was just heading back from some errands. Do you want to walk back with me?

I would love to but first I wanted to show you something. If you don't mind of course!

I smile as I laugh lightly no I don't mind lead the way. I say and lightly bow playfully. She smiles and runs into the forest. I quickly follow her and after a little bit of time we get to a flower field that feels never ending.

It had rained not too long ago so all the flowers were glistening like crystals creating a magical sight.

My god Mitsuri it's so beautiful. How did you find this place?

I found it while getting lost after fighting a demon and since then it has become my secret spot.

I smile at her with an idea. What your favorite flower here?

She smiles and thinks about it for a second. Do you know flower language?

I decide to lie and shake my head. She nods and goes over and picks a gardenia and hands it to me.

I personally love this one and I think it suits you.

She says with a closed eye smile. I look down and smile at it remembering that they mean secret love. I wonder if this is the perfect time?

I look around at all the flowers. I see a purple tulip by some bushes and pick it and put it behind Mitsuri's hair.

I think this flower says it all. I say with a smile.

Im sorry to lie to you but I do know flower language. Kanae and I would use it to tell each other secrets it was quite fun. But while in the market I got this for you. I say handing her a small box.

She takes it smiling lightly but can't look me in the eyes. She pulls open the bow and opens the box revealing a hairpin with lilies and pink gems.

She puts her hand to her mouth in surprise. She looks up at me waiting for what I will say.

Gardenias are beautiful but there is no need to use them to hold a secret Mitsuri I smile.

Are you? Are you confessing to me? She says cautiously but with a glimpse of hope.

No Mitsuri I am announcing my never ending love. I smile as I take her hand. You are funny, sweet and above all beautiful inside and out. I love talking to you,cooking together or really anything we do.

She smiles as a tear falls down her face landing on the flowers before. Will you put the hairpin on for me?

I nod and take the hairpin and carefully put it in her hair and smile.

We find some rocks near by and sit down looking over the field.

What happens now?

She whispers to me while not breaking eye contact with the field.

What ever you want to happen. If you want to slowly go into things or-

I want to be together. I want to grow together like these flowers.

I smile lightly taking her hand again. Then that's what we will do.

We stay sitting there in peace and love. Not caring what the future held. Just happy with love that had finally been said.
