THE SURPRISE

"Happy Birthday, Seunghyub!" you muttered under your breath, practicing the lines that you were planning to tell Seunghyub in front of the mirror at the women's comfort room.

You held a deep sigh as you felt your heart throbbing so fast.

No matter what you do you can't ease the nervousness away.

You gave yourself one last glance into the mirror, checking if the long trench coat perfectly fits you before making your way to Seunghyub's studio.

Working hours are over and only a few staff are around.

And knowing how diligent Seunghyub is, you know that he was still working on his studio, even in late hours.

The throbbing of your heart won't fade away and the closer you get to his studio, the faster it becomes.

You actually both feel nervous and scared at the same time.

Because you think Seunghyub is mad at you. He had been ignoring you for the rest of the day after asking him why he was anticipating a gift from you.

Truth is, you actually know it's his birthday. You just wanna make fun of him.

But his sulky Seunghyub didn't buy it and took the joke seriously.

You held one more deep sigh before knowing at the studio's door and he answered instantly after.

The serious look on his face tells you that he was not really pleased to see you, that you even think that he wouldn't let you come in.

"What can I do for you?" You heard Seunghyub ask with his stern voice, folding his arms as you locked the door behind you.

"Are you busy?" You still dare to ask the obvious even though you instantly notice the scattered papers and his notebook on his table.

"Obviously," he answered, sarcastically.

But you ignored his sarcasm and pulled up a chair to sit beside him.

He didn't say anything and just watched you settle yourself.

"So what do you want?" He asked again, staring as if he was scanning you.

The beating of your heart doubled with the thought of him noticing your surprise.

His eyes move down and up until finally reaching your eyes, locking you into gaze.

You manage to look away instantly.

"If you really have something to tell me, hurry up coz I dont really have much time to play games with you today," you heard him say bitterly as he moved his gaze back to his monitor.

And now you struggle to find words to say until your eyes catch the can of beer that he is probably drinking.

"Nothing! I just wanna drink with you," you told him foolishly, grabbing the beer can instantly and taking a sip of it.

"Yah!! You are not drinking!" He cried, scolding you, taking away your hand immediately.

And you almost choke because of the bitter taste of beer on your mouth.

"Seriously, what are you doing? Are you already out of your mind?" He scolded you once more, handing you his water tumbler and some tissues.

"Sorry…" you muttered shyly, feeling really embarrassed and ashamed of yourself.

"Just stay still if ever you feel yourself getting dizzy," he added as he started working on his computer again. "And please just tell me what you really want,"

You don't know whether it was the alcohol or your free will but you just found yourself dragging Seunghyub closer to you.

"THERAPY!" you cried, giggling as you felt the heating of your cheeks.

And you caught him by surprise when you kissed his lips all of a sudden.

You instantly break the kiss amd.you giggled once more when you saw how shocked he was.

"What the hell are you doing?!" he blurted out, feeling your kiss.

You only giggle as you brush your lips against his for the second time, showering him sweet but aggressive kisses.

And it didn't take long for him to respond, making the kiss even longer.

You only break the kiss when both of you are completely out of breath.

Both of you are now panting as you notice Seunghyub staring at you with dark eyes, probably thinking of how to undress you.

You can't stop giggling when you see the look on his face.

"More?" you asked, teasing him as you found his way down his pants and kneel in front of him.

"Yah, what the hell do you think you are doing?" He hissed annoyingly at you.

You didn't answer, instead you moved your hand up and down along his now visible bulge.

You giggled once again when you heard Seunghyub groaning.

"Don't you dare tease me! " he growled in between deep breaths.

Now you are sure it was the alcohol when slowly unzips and pulls down his pants, revealing his now angry manhood.

"MARKED"

I was sitting quietly at Seunghyub's couch at his studio when my crazy friend sent me a selfie. 

I instantly noticed the purple-pinkish  bruise on her neck.

"Hey, what's on your neck? Who bite you?" I replied to her 

My friend just sent me a laughing emoji. 

"What's so funny?" I replied back. 

She sent another laughing emoji and replied after. 

"I bet you didn't know what a hickey is? Poor you," she said. 

"A what?!" 

Then she replied to me with a lengthy message explaining what it is and started bragging  how "insanely good" her boyfriend is, especially during sexy times. 

And now I feel so annoyed cuz the way she bragged about her boyfriend feels like he was some kind of sex god when my boyfriend, Lee Seunghyub, was a top tier.

"Are you that bored and you're trying to pick a fight?"

I saw him slide his phone that was laying on his desk towards me. "Go ahead and order something," 

"No! I want you to answer that!" I insisted. 

He looked at me with disbelief. 

"But babe you already know the answer to that," he reasoned. 

"It's just a YES  or a NO, why can't you just say it?" I told him whining as I poured my lips.

Seunghyub looked at me quizzically, obviously trying to figure out what I was thinking.

I saw him smiling, which had me wondering whether he finds me cute or he was starting to feel annoyed with me too. 

"Yup, you're just bored," he then said, coming up with an answer to his mind after staring at me for a moment. 

"No, I want a kiss," I murmured, looking away.

Damn, how am I supposed to tell him that I want him to give me a hickey? 

I'm not sure if he heard but suddenly pulled for a quick kiss. 

I was stunned and he caught me off guard that I didn't have time to react. 

"Just wait a little bit my love," I heard him say while patting my hair. "I'm almost done, we'll go home in a while," 

I saw him smile before his eyes pan away back to his monitor. 

And just like that I was defeated by him. 

I couldn’t help sulking when I realized that. But of course, my naughty self wouldn’t back down that easily.

I was trying my hardest  not to laugh and even though I know he wasn't that mad, I won't deny that still scaring the shit out of me. 

In fact, I could even hear the crazy beating of my heart. 

“Babe, what is wrong with you?” he asked me while touching the part that was bitten. I could still sense the annoyance through his voice. “I thought you weren’t trying to pick a fight?” 

“I am not, babe, I’m sorry,” I told him apologetically before pulling him into a hug. 

“I was just trying to give you a hickey,” I added, whispering. 

Seunghyub suddenly broke the hug and faced me. 

“A WHAT?!” 

He looked so surprised.

“A hickey…kiss mark,”  I answer shyly then I look away, feeling embarrassed.

“Whatever! You still never do that to me,” I said sulking, rolling my eyes on him as I looked away.

Seughyub smirked. “You talk as if you are so sure about it,” he teased. 

That made me look back at him. 

I really don’t remember seeing anything or I just didn’t notice. 

“You probably won’t notice it because I’m not putting it to the most visible parts,” Seunghyub continued teasing me and I stared at him, confusingly. 

And here goes another episode of me not knowing whether he was telling the truth or was just messing with me. 

And I hate it when I can't read his mind. 

I saw him smirking, teasing me more 'coz he knew how clueless I was. 

Making me feel annoyed even more. 

“LIAR! That's not true!" I hissed at him, annoyingly. 

"If you say so!" He answered, still teasing me as he went back to his computer again. 

I can't believe I was defeated for the second time. 

But my competitive self won't take my defeat. 

"LIAR!!!" I blurted out again. "You didn't even know how to it," 

I started teasing him.

He looked back at me instantly. 

I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my arm and started kissing it. 

I close my eyes as I softly moan when he starts sucking my skin gently. 

And when he stopped, I was dumbfounded when I saw the mark on wrist.

"No! Let's continue this at home," he said firmly and went back to his work after.

I was so mad that I felt like throwing my phone at him. 

I know Seunghyub could see me sulking through my reflection on his other monitor. 

I could still hear him laughing at me while my eyes were fixed on my phone. 

I glanced at him for a moment and our eyes  met at the reflection and I mouthed 'I hate you' at him and he just chuckled. 

The next thing I knew he was already beside me on the couch, pulling me for a hug. 

But I pushed him away. 

But because he was really strong, he still successfully trapped me into his arms and showered my lips with sweet but aggressive kisses.

I was still mad so I still tried to push him away and tried not responding to kisses. 

But Seunghyub, as the naughty one, suddenly pulled my shirt up. 

He proceeded to unclasp my bra with one hand.

"Babe, where are you? You forgot to wear my jacket," he said instantly on the other line.

"For what?" I answered, annoyingly. "I'm at the comfort room," 

"Check yourself in the mirror, babe," he told me, still grinning. 

I felt like my soul left my body when I saw what Seunghyub just did. 

A reddish-pinkish lays on my neck. And the size was really that eye-catching. 

No wonder why the staff stares at me like. 

"YAH! LEE SEUNGHYUB!" 

I heard Seunghyub laughing at the line. 

"I told you!" He said. "Wait for me there and let's go home, I'll give you more," 

And that was the last thing he said before he ended the line.

“DINNER IS READY" 

You can't help texting Hweseung when you see his picture in military uniform scattered everywhere on twitter. 

"Babe…" that was your first message.

But you know Hweseung.

A SLEEPOVER

I couldn't believe that it would rain so hard on the day I decided to clock out early to rest. 

My new job has been giving me a lot of stress for the past weeks. I really believe that I deserved some netflix and chill for the night. 

I was living temporarily with a friend in her small apartment since I moved out from my last place for my new job too and since I am really busy, I find it hard to find a new place.

I don’t know what kind of bad luck I brought with me, I was already in the parking lot when I realized I left my umbrella at the office so I had no choice but to run under the rain. 

I was soaking wet when I reached our unit, only to realize, once again, that my friend didn’t give me the new passcode and to make things worse for me, I left my freaking phone in my car. 

It was really cold and my clothes were dripping. 

I have no choice but to go back to the car or I could just knock on our neighbor’s door to borrow some umbrella first. 

And here I am pondering again which door to knock onto, the one in front of us or the one beside us. 

I chose the first but hesitated ‘coz I am scared of the elderly woman who lives in front of us because of her bad temper. 

While I never really see our neighbor who lives beside us. My friend said he was a bachelor who seemed to be always not around and busy.

But trying my luck, I tried knocking on his door. 

After what feels like forever, he miraculously opens the door. 

My eyes turn away instantly when I notice that he was looking fresh from the shower with only a towel on. 

"I'm sorry for disturbing you in this kind of hour," I started looking down on the ground to avoid my eyes looking elsewhere. "But I was wondering if I could borrow an umbrella, I left mine in the office and I need to-"

"Wow! The world indeed is small," 

The way my heart dropped as I stopped talking when I heard that familiar voice. 

I know that voice. 

I heard it for so many years and there is no way I could mistake it for someone else.

I looked up slowly and the beat of my heart doubled when I saw Lee Seunghyub, standing in front of me. 

His lips slowly curved into a smile. 

He looked around first before he dragged me inside his house. 

"Oppa?! What are you doing? I can't be here!" I instantly protested as Seunghyub closed the door behind us. 

"You're shivering! Can't you see?" He said. "My heater is on so it will make you warm somehow," 

That made me speechless but also touched at the same time. 

I didn't realize my body was shaking from the cold and how wet my clothes were. 

"So what are you doing here again?" I went back to my senses when I heard him ask.

"I…just wanna borrow an umbrella," I muttered shyly. 

"Why?" He asked. 

"I left my phone in the car," I explained. "I need to call my friend to ask for the new passcode," 

"I see… friend…" he said, starting to tease me. 

"She is a girl!" I blurted out instantly, defensively. 

"Ohhh, you like girls now?" He joked,teasing me, raising his eyebrows. 

I gave him a look, suddenly feeling annoyed. 

I saw him chuckling. 

"Relax, I'm just joking," he told me. 

I rolled my eyes on him as a response. 

He left for a while, still chuckling and wenr to his room. When he came back, he was already holding his phone. 

"Do you know the number of your friend? We call me her now," he said as he approached me, suggesting an easier option.

"No…" I answered, shaking my head, feeling helpless. 

"I see.." 

I think Seunghyub had no choice but to open his small storage cabinet near us and take out his transparent umbrella. 

"But are you sure you're really going out?" He suddenly asks before handling the umbrella. "With that kind of weather?" 

I nodded, unsure. 

It was really raining hard outside and with a strong wind too. 

In fact, after he said that, we heard the  thunder roar and lightning came after that made me scream and jumped off in fright. 

"Are you really sure?" I heard him ask once again.

He was grinning. He knew how scared I was of the sound of  thunder and lightning and I was not really a fan of rain too. 

We both know it's a sign of defeat when I don't answer. 

He was smiling as he returned the umbrella to his storage cabinet. 

"Stay here for a while until the rain subsides," he said, then left me again.

When he came back, he was fully dressed with a few clothes on his hands.

I looked at him quizzically when he handed them to me. 

"Change first so we could hang and dry your clothes or might get sick," he told me. "You know I really wanna see you dripping but that way," 

The last sentence made me roll my eyes on him again  but he has a point. 

Besides, I was feeling really cold too. 

And if I really stayed that way too long, I might really catch a cold. 

"Don't worry, those are new ones," he added, placing the new clothes on my hands. 

I know I really have no choice but to do as he says.

I heaved a sigh and pouted my lips, helplessly as I took the clothes in his hand. 

Smiling, he showed me the way to his bathroom and even handed me hangers for my wet clothes.   

I found him in his kitchen, preparing something. 

"Did you eat already? Are you hungry? I'll make ramen," I heard him asking. 

"No, I'm good, Oppa," I shouted, answering as I made my way to his living room and settled myself silently into one of his sofas. 

He showed up with two cups of coffee on his hands from the kitchen. 

He handed one to me. "Here, to make you feel warm," he said as I watched him sit on the sofa in front of me across the room.

He was watching my every move as he sipped his coffee and I don't know why.

And I started feeling anxious and nervous 'coz I can't read his mind too. 

"Why aren't you drinking?" He then asked. 

That's where I realize I haven't touched my coffee yet and that he was probably just waiting for me to drink it. 

"Go on, don't worry I didn't put anything on it," he said. "I don't need to drug you to have you in my bed you know,"

I saw him winked, teasingly as he sipped his coffee again. 

Feeling annoyed, I rolled my eyes on him again. 

He was indeed so full of himself sometimes. 

But part of me couldn't help but to agree with him secretly. 

And It's not that I don't trust him but now that he mentioned it, my anxiousness leveled up. 

'Coz knowing him, I know how silly, naughty and dangerous he can be, talking from experience. 

To drive him away, I finally decided to take a sip. 

"How was it? Do you like it?" He asked instantly afterwards. 

I just nodded as an answer. 

He know I was a coffee lover so I don't mind anything  

"Now let's wait for you to get dizzy," 

That made me look at him instantly. 

The beating of my heart went crazy.

He stood up. 

"I'll be just in my studio if ever you feel anything, just call me," he said to me with a blank expression that really makes it so hard for me to know if he was serious or not. 

"Yah!!!" 

I looked at him quizzically with a slightly scared expression on my face. 

Then he suddenly burst out laughing. 

"Do you know that you really look so funny right now," he told me teasingly. 

"Oppa! It's not funny! Dammit!" I blurted out angrily. 

"Yah! Watch your words!" He growled. His laughter faded. 

Now he looked pissed so I looked away instantly feeling more nervous than ever. 

"But hey just relax okay? Why do you look so nervous? We both know I'm not that kind of person unless you really think of me that way," 

"No!" I answered instantly. "But please oppa, stop making fun of me," 

He chuckled.

"Then relaxed okay? I won't hurt you," he said calmly, assuring me. 

I looked away, feeling embarrassed. 

He said something to Siri and the TV opened. 

"Make yourself at home, I'll be really just on my studio to work on some songs, just call me if you need anything," 

I silently nodded as I watched him walk away towards his studio. 

He went out after an hour. I was watching the news. 

It was still raining.

The news said there had been some flooding around Seoul and now a few roads were blocked. 

Now I am worried that my friend might not come home tonight. 

'Coz her boyfriend lives just a block away from her office and I am sure he will pick hee up. 

"Oppa, I think I need to go now, maybe my friend has already arrived," I said to him as soon as he approached. 

He noticed that I was holding my clothes already and I was ready to go so he didn't say anything and just walked me to the door. 

I watch him close his door before I proceed to ring the doorbell of our unit. 

But after a few rings, no one still answers. 

I am so afraid that my hunch was right.
