The story of the object of desire
How do we stop falling in love with ‘ideas’ of things.
As Sandra cried out for years for this thing she desired most in the world, the day came when finally she got what she wanted. It was what she had always dreamt of, it was shiny, it glistened when the sun light hit it. When she held it in her hands her hands felt a radiant energy, which travelled all the way through her body, filling her soul with an electric energy. Her whole persona changed. She was full of enlightenment she would walk with a new found bounce. From inside out she was happy and content in what she had finally obtained.
But as time went by it shone less and the energy it gave her when she held it was weak, it didn't have the same effect as it used to. Then she began to slowly disengage with it. The more she forgot about it then sadder it became. Getting knock of a cabinet and denting as it hit the ground. She slowly became unaware of it and it got abandoned. Stuck behind something too large to move, for to move it would require effort that Sandra no longer had for it. So stuck in the dark unable to move it slowly had to come to terms with the fact that it was once desirable to her but and now it shall have to wait for someone to come and move the furniture and see beyond the dents and the dullness in its colour. To see the beauty it once had and is still part of it. But all there is to do now is wait in the dark.
